  • We find some conditions under which G(f)-sequence of a CW-pair (X, A) is exact. And we also introduce a G(f)-sequence for a CW-triple (X, A, B) and examine when the sequence is exact.

  • This paper investigates generalizations of weakening-free uninorm logics not assuming associativity of intensional conjunction (so called fusion) &, as non-associative fuzzy-relevance logics. First, the strong t-associative monoidal uninorm logic StAMUL and its schematic extensions are introduced as non-associative propositional fuzzy-relevance logics. (Non-associativity here means that, differently from classical logic, & is no longer associative.) Then the algebraic structures corresponding to the systems are defined, and algebraic completeness results for them are provided. Next, predicate calculi corresponding to the propositional systems introduced here are considered.

  • In this paper, we obtain the general solution and the stability of the cubic functional equation f(2x + y, 2z + w) + f(2x - y, 2z - w) = 2f(x + y, z + w) + 2f(x - y, z - w) + 12f(x, z). The cubic form $f(x,\;y)\;=\;ax^3\;+\;bx^2y\;+\;cxy^2\;+\;dy^3$ is a solution of the above functional equation.

  • In the present study, we investigate and compare the International Mathematical Olympiad participation histories of Korea, China, and Japan. Especially, the processes for the first participation of the IMO, trends in team rankings of the IMO, and national team selection systems and education systems are compared. And we investigate and compare the policies for the talented girls mathematics Olympians. Several proposals are suggested for development of Korean Mathematical Olympiad and participations to IMO.

  • In this paper a parameter identification problem for a damped sine-Gordon equation is studied from the theoretical and numerical perspectives. A spectral method is developed for the solution of the state and the adjoint equations. The Powell's minimization method is used for the numerical parameter identification. The necessary conditions for the optimization problem are shown to yield the bang-bang control law. Numerical results are discussed and the applicability of the necessary conditions is examined.

  • In this paper we present a new variant of the Euler-Chebyshev method for solving nonlinear equations. Analysis of convergence is given to show that the presented methods are at least fifth-order convergent. Several numerical examples are given to illustrate that newly presented methods can be competitive to other known fifth-order methods and the Newton method in the efficiency and performance.

  • In 1963, Graham introduced a problem to find integer partitions such that the reciprocal sum of their parts is 1. Inspired by Graham's work and classical partition identities, we show that there is an integer partition of a sufficiently large integer n such that the reciprocal sum of the parts is 1, while the parts satisfy certain congruence conditions.

  • Information systems and decision rules with imprecision and uncertainty in data analysis are studied in complete residuated lattices. In this paper, we introduce the notions of Alexandrov pretopology (precotopology) and join-meet (meet-join) operators in complete co-residuated lattices. Moreover, their properties and examples are investigated.
