This paper studies the properties of solutions of the Riccati equation arising from the quadratic optimal control problem of the general damped second order system. Using the semigroup theory, we establish the weak differential characterization of the Riccati equation for a general class of the second order distributed systems with arbitrary damping terms.

This paper is a continuation of [1]. Let ${\sigma}(X,x_0,G)$ be the fundamental group of a transformation group (X,G). Let $R({\varphi},{\psi})$ be the generalized Reidemeister number for an endomorphism $({\varphi},{\psi}:(X,G){\rightarrow}(X,G)$. The main results in this paper concern the conditions for $R({\varphi},{\psi})={\mid}Coker(1-({\varphi},{\psi})_{\bar{\sigma}}){\mid}$.

Shifting, scaling and modulation proprerties for the convolution product of the Fourier-Feynman transform of functionals in a generalized Fresnel class ${\mathcal{F}}_{A1,A2}$ are given. These properties help us to obtain convolution product of new functionals from the convolution product of old functionals which we know their convolution product.

We Study the Problems Of identification for the damped sine-Gordon equations with constant parameters. That is, we establish the existence and necessary conditions for the optimal constant parameters based on the fundamental optimal control theory and the transposition method studied in Lions and Magenes [5].

In this paper, we prove the generalized Hyers-Ulam stability for the following additive-quadratic functional equation f(2x + y) + f(2x - y) = f(x + y) + f(x - y) + 4f(x) + 2f(-x) in modular spaces by using a fixed point theorem for modular spaces.

In this paper, we prove that for all odd prime powers $q$ there exist MDS(maximum distance separable) self-dual codes over $\mathbb{F}_{q^2}$ for all even lengths up to $q+1$. Additionally, we prove that there exist MDS self-dual codes of length four over $\mathbb{F}_q$ for all $q$ > 2, $q{\neq}5$.

In this paper, we investigate the solution of the following functional inequality $$N(f(x)+f(y)+f(z),t){\geq}N(f(x+y+z),mt)$$ for some fixed real number m with $\frac{1}{3}$ < m ${\leq}$ 1 and using the fixed point method, we prove the generalized Hyers-Ulam stability for it in fuzzy Banach spaces.

We study special types of matrices. The involutary fuzzy matrices are important in various applications and have many interesting properties. Using the graphical method, we have the zero patterns of involutary fuzzy matrix, that is, involutary Boolean matrices. And we give the construction of all involutary fuzzy matrices for some dimensions and suggest the canonical form of involutary fuzzy matrix.

In this note, we study conditions under which SF-rings are semi-simple. We prove that left SF-rings are semisimple for each of the following classes of rings: (1) left non-singular rings of finite rank; (2) rings whose maximal left ideals are finitely generated; (3) rings of pure global dimension zero and (4) rings which is pure-split. Also it is shown that left SF-rings without zero-divisors are semisimple.
