Analysis of Factors Affecting Academic Ability of Preschool-age Children

  • 본 연구는 2014년도에 조사가 완료된 한국아동패널 자료를 활용하여 자아발달, 사회성발달, 학습준비도, 학업능력의 잠재변수에 대한 관계를 분석하고 학령전기 아동의 학업능력에 영향을 미치는 요인을 찾아내는 것이다. 본 연구 대상은 한국아동패널 7차(2014년도) 자료의 2150가구 중에서 해당 자료의 미응답자와 시스템 결측치 1037가구를 제외한 1113가구의 초등학교 취학전 만 6세의 아동들이다. 연구 모델의 경로 효과를 분석한 결과 자아발달과 학업능력 사이에서 자아발달이 학업능력에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 동시에 사회성 발달과 학습 준비도를 매개로 한 간접적인 영향에도 유의미하게 나타났다. 그리고 학업능력에 미치는 자아발달, 사회성발달, 학습준비도 중에서 학습준비도가 가장 큰 비중으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결과적으로 학령전기 아동의 학업능력은 창의력과 문제해결능력을 겸비한 인재로 육성하기 위해서 학습준비도가 매우 중요하게 다루어져야 한다는 것이다.

  • 본 연구는 학습공동체 프로그램 참여가 대학생의 의사소통능력 및 협동학습역량에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2018년 2학기에 A대학교 재학생 296명을 대상으로 사전·사후 설문조사를 실시하였고 SPSS를 사용하여 분석하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학습공동체 프로그램 참여가 대학생의 협동학습역량에 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 하위요인별 분석에서는 협동학습역량의 학습참여, 학습만족도 요인에서 프로그램 전후 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 셋째, 학년별 차이를 살펴본 바, 2학년과 3학년에서 프로그램 전후 협동학습역량이 유의한 차이를 나타냈다. 넷째, 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 학습공동체 프로그램 활동 및 후속 연구에 대한 시사점을 제안하였다. 본 연구는 대학에서 진행되는 학습공동체 활동이 대학생의 의사소통능력 및 협동학습역량에 미치는 영향을 분석하였고 학습공동체 활동의 체계적인 운영과 지원을 위한 실천적인 방안을 제시하였다.

뇌 기반 과학 교수 학습 모형을 적용한 "슬기로운 생활" 수업의 효과 (The Effects of a Brain-Based Science Teaching and Learning Model on ${\ulcorner}$Intelligent Life${\lrcorner}$ Course of Elementary School)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a brain-based science teaching and learning model on the science related attitudes, scientific inquiry skills and science knowledge of the 2nd graders in Intelligent Life course. For this study, 117 elementary students from four classes of the 2nd grade in Seoul were selected. In the comparison group, traditional instruction was implemented and in the experimental group, instruction according to brain-based science teaching and learning model was implemented for four weeks. The results of this study were as follows : There were little differences between the comparison and experimental groups in terms of the science related attitudes except for the sub-domains of interest and curiosity. And brain-based science teaching and learning model programs improved a few scientific inquiry skills, especially observation and classification. In addition, the experimental groups showed a positive effect on science knowledge. In conclusion, brain-based science teaching and learning model programs were more effective in improvement of the science related attitudes, scientific inquiry skills and science knowledge of elementary students.

자기조절학습 요소가 고등학생의 정보문해에 대한 태도와 정보문해능력에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Self-Regulated Learning Components on Attitude and Related Skills of Information Literacy among High School Students)

  • 본 연구에서는 학교도서관 프로젝트학습에서 학습자가 학습환경을 스스로 조절하고 통제하는 자기조절학습이 정보문해에 대한 태도와 정보문해능력에 어떤 영향을 미치며, 영향을 미치는 심층적인 이유는 무엇인지 연구하였다. 연구결과 자기조절학습의 인지조절능력, 동기조절능력, 행동조절능력이 정보문해에 대한 태도와 정보문해능력에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 자기조절학습이 정보문해에 영향을 미치는 이유를 심층 분석한 결과 협동학습, 정보환경에 대한 경험, 시간 운영, 정보문해교육에 대한 노출, 동기유발, 교사와의 관계, 만족지연, 사전지식 요인이 도출되었다.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of free inquiry lessons utilizing flipped learning with smart devices on digital literacy, $21^{st}$ century skills and scientific attitude of $5^{th}$ graders of elementary school. The subjects of this study were two different $5^{th}$ grade classes in J elementary school located in B metropolitan city. Free inquiry lessons utilizing flipped learning with smart devices were applied to experimental group, whereas comparison group was taught general free inquiry lessons using ordinary teaching materials. The results of this study were as follows: First, free inquiry lessons utilizing flipped learning with smart devices were statistically meaningful on students' digital literacy. Second, free inquiry lessons utilizing flipped learning with smart devices were not statistically meaningful on students' $21^{st}$ century skills. Third, free inquiry lessons utilizing flip teaching with smart devices were not statistically meaningful on students' scientific attitude. Fourth, free inquiry lessons utilizing flipped learning with smart devices caused an effectiveness on students' interests.

역량중심 경혈학실습 교육을 위한 교수학습매뉴얼 개발 및 활용방안 (Development of Teaching and Learning Manual for Competency-Based Practice for Meridian & Acupuncture Points Class)

  • Objectives : In our previous study, we developed the prototype of a lesson plan for meridian and acupuncture clinical skills education by applying the rapid prototyping to instructional systems design. The present study aimed to develop a teaching-learning manual, including the lesson plans, practice notes, and instructions for devices. We also aimed to present a guideline on how to use the manual in class. Methods : The manual and materials for teachers and learners were developed based on the solutions and the prototype derived from our previous study. Practical classes on meridian and acupuncture points consist of four major subjects, and the lesson plan and practice note were designed according to each topic. Results : Flipped learning, George's five-step method, peer role-play, and peer-led objective structured clinical examination (OSCE) were applied as main methodologies in the meridian and acupuncture points practical class. The teaching-learning manual, including practice notes, detailed lesson plan, OSCE checklist, and instruction manual for devices, was developed to be utilized at each stage of the learning activity. Conclusions : The application of the teaching-learning manual is expected to provide effective clinical skills education, strengthen learners' communication skills, establish professional identity, assess learners' performance, and provide immediate feedback. The educational effect of the manual for the existing class should be identified, and its feasibility should be verified by implementing it on another group. This manual could be helpful in designing classes for other subjects of Korean medicine, especially for clinical skills education.

COVID-19로 인한 온라인 중심 교육에서 간호대학생의 핵심 기본 간호술 수행 자신감에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Affecting the Confidence of Nursing Students in the On-line-Based Education by COVID-19)

  • 본 연구는 COVID-19로 인한 온라인 중심 교육에서 간호대학생의 핵심 기본 간호술 수행자신감 향상을 위한 교수법 개발을 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 시도되었다. C시에 소재한 N대학 간호학과 146명이 연구에 참여하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 23.0 통계 프로그램을 사용하여 기술통계, t-test, ANOVA 및 Duncan test를 활용한 차이 분석, 상관관계분석 및 다중회귀분석을 시행하였다. 연구 결과, 대상자의 핵심 기본 간호술 수행 자신감은 자기 주도 학습준비(r=.368, p<.001), 학습 동기의 하위영역인 내재적 동기(r=.232, p=.005), 외재적 동기(r=.344, p<.001), 과제 가치(r=.237, p=<.001), 학습통제신념(r=.262, p=<.001), 자기효능감(r=.443, p<.001)과 유의한 양의 상관관계가 있었다. 간호대학생의 핵심 기본 간호술 수행자신감 영향 요인으로는, 4학년(β=0.413, p<.001), 학습 동기의 하위 영역 중 외재적 동기(β=0.307, p<.001), 자기효능감(β=0.316, p=.005)이었으며, 설명력은 35.8%였다(F=8.354, p<.001). 본 연구결과를 토대로 핵심 기본 간호술 수행자신감 증진을 위해서 간호대학생의 외재적 동기, 자기효능감을 높일 수 있는 다양한 교수법의 개발 및 적용이 필요하며, 이는 핵심 기본 간호술 수행자신감 향상을 위한 효율적인 온라인 중심의 간호교육 전략 마련에 기초자료가 될 것이다.

Jigsaw 협동학습을 적용한 수업이 자기주도적 학습능력 및 과제집착력에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of the Self-directed Learning Ability and Task Commitment through the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning)

  • This study is to find out that the effect of class applied Jigsaw cooperative learning to self-directed learning skills and task commitment. This study has been aimed at 2 class 66 students pre-service teachers who take "Science and study of teaching materials I" enrolled in B University of Education located in B city. This study targets to 2009 revision of elementary school science curriculum of changes in earth's surface(3-1), the volcano and earthquakes (4-1), the solar system and the stars (5-1), the motion of the Earth and the Moon (6-1) sections. Clarify the subject of study for implementing a research topics are as follows. First, What is the effect of class applied Jigsaw cooperative learning to self-directed learning skills? Second, what is the effect of class applied Jigsaw cooperative learning to task commitment? Third, what is awareness of class applied Jigsaw cooperative learning? Results of the study were as follows: First, class applied Jigsaw cooperative learning was effective in improving self-directed learning skills. Second, class applied Jigsaw cooperative learning was effective in improving task commitment. Third, in the course of discussion, students got consideration for others with leadership in their discussion was good in the class applied Jigsaw cooperative learning discussion. There was a response that they would like to do the class continually.

국외 임상술기센터의 임상교육 현황과 시사점 (A review on clinical education in clinical skills centers worldwide and its implications)

  • Purpose : The establishment of clinical skills centers(CSCs) to facilitate the teaching and assessment of clinical skills is one of the more recent developments occurring in medical schools worldwide. The aim of this study is to review experiences of CSCs in other medical schools and learn how to design a CSC in our school. Methods : This study was undertaken in two steps. In the first step, educational activities of CSCs in 6 medical schools were reviewed. In the second step, a search for articles of journals regarding clinical skills education in CSCs was conducted. Results : The review of CSCs programs reveals variations among centers in teaching and assessment activities. However there are increasing trends of utilizing CSCs in teaching and learning in CSCs. The delivery of clinical skills is expanded by an increasing use of simulated patients and realistic simulators. Through an audio/video technology, availability of more detailed monitoring and feedback. CSCs also provide greater opportunity for assessment of communications skills, physical examination and practical procedures. Conclusions: CSCs contribute to the effectiveness in clinical teaching and assessment. Educational benefits of a CSC can be maximized by utilizing new delivery methods, implementing educational strategies and staff development programmes.

스마트 폰 동영상을 활용한 피드백 자율실습이 기본간호수기 수행능력, 수행자신감 및 학습만족도에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Self-directed Feedback Practice using Smartphone Videos on Basic Nursing Skills, Confidence in Performance and Learning Satisfaction)

  • Purpose: This study was done to verify effects of a self-directed feedback practice using smartphone videos on nursing students' basic nursing skills, confidence in performance and learning satisfaction. Methods: In this study an experimental study with a post-test only control group design was used. Twenty-nine students were assigned to the experimental group and 29 to the control group. Experimental treatment was exchanging feedback on deficiencies through smartphone recorded videos of nursing practice process taken by peers during self-directed practice. Results: Basic nursing skills scores were higher for all items in the experimental group compared to the control group, and differences were statistically significant ["Measuring vital signs" (t=-2.10, p=.039); "Wearing protective equipment when entering and exiting the quarantine room and the management of waste materials" (t=-4.74, p<.001) "Gavage tube feeding" (t=-2.70, p=.009)]. Confidence in performance was higher in the experimental group compared to the control group, but the differences were not statistically significant. However, after the complete practice, there was a statistically significant difference in overall performance confidence (t=-3.07. p=.003). Learning satisfaction was higher in the experimental group compared to the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant (t=-1.67, p=.100). Conclusion: Results of this study indicate that self-directed feedback practice using smartphone videos can improve basic nursing skills. The significance is that it can help nursing students gain confidence in their nursing skills for the future through improvement of basic nursing skills and performance of quality care, thus providing patients with safer care.
