There are some questions about the way to monitoring the regional innovative activities in a specific field because of decision-making for raising regional specialized industry. Numerous studies have been conducted in the past using patent statistics to explain and compare the innovative capabilities of districts, regions and countries. The prior method of calculating the regional distribution of patent counts is to assign the patents to districts by assignee's address, which was not proper, in the case of larger firms's headquarters, holdings or subsidiaries, to mislead in geographical terms. So the regional distribution of patent was counted for a specific technology area, electric device field(H01 IPC classification), by inventors' residential addresses. Then the interregional structure was investigated by analysing the relations of co-inventors' regions by individual patent using a network analysis tool.

It has been almost 10 years since the department of military studies was opened at the civilian universities. One of the important elements for the success of these new departments would be the curriculum. This paper tries to give an realistic answer to the question of curriculum. The factors influencing the design of curriculum of military studies are analyzed, such as the curricular of the military institutes that confer the B.S. in military studies, the domain of military studies and research areas, documentation classification of military studies and military engineering, scientific knowledge versus vocational capabilities in university education, relations between the B.S. courses and the master or doctorate courses, requirements asked by the Army, and moral education needed for the military officers. As a result of the analysis, the mandatory core courses should be total of 19, including 5 general courses and 14 major courses.

Objectives: Cancer diagnoses have a tremendous impact on individuals and communities, drawing intense public concern. The objective of the current research was to examine news coverage and content related to cancer-related issues in Korean newspapers. Methods: Primarily using the database system of the Korea Press Foundation, we conducted a content analysis of 2806 articles from 9 Korean daily newspapers during a recent 3-year period from 2015 to 2017. Thematic categories, the types of articles, attitudes and tone, and the number of sources in each article were coded and classified. Results: Many news articles dealt with a diverse range of themes related to cancer, including general healthcare information, the latest research and development, specific medical institutions and personnel, and technology and products, which jointly accounted for 74.8% of all articles. Those thematic categories differed markedly in terms of article type, tone, and the number of cited sources. News articles provided extensive information about healthcare resources, and many articles seemed to contain advertising content. However, the content related to complex social issues such as National Health Insurance did not include enough information for the reader to contextualize the issues properly or present the issues systematically. Conclusions: It can be assumed that the media exert differential influence on individuals through news coverage. Within the present reporting framework, the availability and usefulness of information are likely to depend solely on individuals' capabilities, such as financial and health literacy; this dependency has a negative impact on knowledge gaps and health inequities.

The arrival of the Web 2.0 age, which is characterized by such key words as participation, sharing and openness, provides a learning environment in which both instructors and students can experience interactivity. In the educational area, we are particularly witnessing a growing interest in the social software like Wiki as one of the communication tools that reflects the characteristics of Web 2.0 and focuses on the interactivity with others. Based on this background, this study aims to examine into the meanings of interactivity inherent in the Wiki-based learning by studying such cases where Wiki is being used as a learning tool. For the purpose of our study, we practiced the Wiki-based learning method on the study subjects of the 17 junior students from U- University and 18 junior students from K- University during their 2009 fall semester teacher training courses. Through a comprehensive analysis of the questionnaires, interviews, Interactivity Measurement Diagram, examinations on the Wiki uses, Daily Self-reflection Records, and any other materials collected throughout the program, we could garner the following results: First, most of the students acknowledged that the use of Wiki was a useful communication means and helped promote their interactivity during their learning activities. Second, the interactivity of the Wiki-based learning was found to be more dynamic in the team-based projects or the community-based Wiki uses than in the instructor-oriented cases. Third, the Wiki-based learning is judged effective in expanding the scope of thinking and improving the learning capabilities through the collaborative knowledge-building process. The educational employment of the social software like Wiki in this web 2.0 age has great potentials for the true establishment of the learner-oriented learning environment, which has long remained at a standstill.

With leadership and speciality, creativity is cutting a fine figure among major values of human resource in 21C knowledge-based society. In the 7th school curriculum much emphasis is put on the importance of creativity by pursuing the image of human being based on creativity based on basic capabilities'. Also creativity is one of major factors of giftedness, and developing one's creativity is the core of the program for gifted education. Doing mathematics requires high order thinking and knowledgeable understandings. Thus mathematical creativity is used as a measure to test one's flexibility, and therefore it is the basic tool for creativity study. But theoretical study for mathematical creativity is not common. In this paper, we discuss mathematical creativity applied to 6 approaches suggested by Sternberg and Lubart in educational theory. That is, mystical approaches, pragmatical approaches, psycho-dynamic approaches, cognitive approaches, psychometric approaches and scio-personal approaches. This study expects to give useful tips for understanding mathematical creativity and understanding recent research results by reviewing various aspects of mathematical creativity.

This paper introduces the process in which the Center for Freedom of Information, founded for the public's right to know by disseminating public information, was created . Building archives with scarce resources and capacities has resulted in a number of troubles and frustrations, and the need for reorientation. However, through the contributions of many people empathizing with the unique needs and meanings of citizen-led archives, difficulties were overcome, and archives were built. This paper summarizes the specific difficulties and capabilities required in this process, especially the knowledge and assistance needed in the field of records management. Although much research is necessary, the archives serve as an example of remembering and reconstructing the past when the 1997 Crisis Archives had shaken all the foundations of people's lives, and a tool to guide decision-making.

A tunnel design expert system entitled NESTED is developed using the artificial neural network. The expert system includes three neural network computer models designed for the stability assessment of underground openings and the estimation of correlation between the RMR and Q systems. The expert system consists of the three models and the computerized rock mass classification programs that could be driven under the same user interface. As the structure of the neural network, a multi -layer neural network which adopts an or ror back-propagation learning algorithm is used. To set up its knowledge base from the prior case histories, an engineering database which can control the incomplete and erroneous information by learning process is developed. A series of experiments comparing the results of the neural network with the actual field observations have demonstrated the inferring capabilities of the neural network to identify the possible failure modes and the support timing. The neural network expert system thus complements the incomplete geological data and provides suitable support recommendations for preliminary design of tunnels in rock masses.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate effects of mobile web-based cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR) convergence education for nurses. This study used a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. A sample of 46 nurses was included. The experimental group was given mobile web-based online CPR education with self-directed offline CPR practice. The control group was given traditional CPR lecture education with CPR practice. The data were collected using a structured questionnaire and performance skill test and were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 program. The experimental group had higher scores on CPR knowledge and CPR self-efficacy than those of the control group. there were no significant differences between groups (p=.741; p=.162). CPR skill ability was significantly higher in the experimental group compared to the control group(p=.001). This findings indicate that mobile web-based CPR convergence education can be an effective to strengthen CPR capabilities for nurses. These contribute to expanding convergence of education program development.

The research analysis will be proceeded with a specific question: The kind of endeavors the ICT providers must focus on within the ICT industry's Schumpeterian pattern of using barriers of knowledge during the rapid technological transformation and pursuing appropriability of guaranteed opportunities. The study was carried out by targeting and conducting empirical observations on the proliferation of technological patent applications made by ICT companies among approximately 5,700 listed North American corporations. The risk of arising cases, in which late-coming non-ICT companies adopt and participate in the technical pertinence and concept derived from the technological advent, will be treated as an independent variable in a survival analysis. Through this analysis, innovative technological attempts and absorption capabilities indicate significance.

The purpose of this study is to desirable curriculum for interior design major in vocational high school in order to enhance their competitiveness. The study has been carried out by surveying the cognition and requirement among the people who are working in interior design field. The major findings from the survey research are summarized as follows : 1) Hiring vocational high school graduate is positively responded over sixty percentage. The main reason to hire interior design major in vocational school is because of firm believing their capabilities and their own specialties rather than academic degree. 2) It is believed that new vocational high school graduate is lacking behind in most area at the beginning comparing with new college graduate. However it is believed that high school graduate will become equal to the college graduate after a few years and they are more specialized in certain area that college graduate. 3) The most recommendable area for the vocational high school graduate are CAD and Interior Construction Work. 4) The appropriate text book content of (:AD and interior construction work based on the requirement from the industry are as follows ; Regarding to CAD, a specialized textbook for CAD should be written. It is desirable to) educate how to express plan, elevation, perspective drawing and how to develop the presentation skills. Regarding to the Interior Construction Work desirable to develop a specialized textbook and include on the job training program. On the job training is expected to give a practical knowledge and experience by monitoring and drawing by himself every steps from the architectural area to the material selection.
