Influence of Fast-Food Kiosk Quality on User Intention of Reuse (패스트푸드점 키오스크 품질이 사용자 지속사용 의도에 미치는 영향)

  • Due to COVID-19 and minimum wage raise, rate of adoption of zero contact payment methods, such as kiosk, had increased rapidly in 2018. Although there exist users who have trouble utilizing it, kiosk is growing consistently, especially in food service industry. Main goal of this research is to verify antecedent of satisfaction level which affects continuance intention of kiosk in terms of quality and execute through examination of kiosk users on fast-food industry, which employs kiosk most predominantly. The result of this research showed that information accessibility (environment quality), convenience of order process (process quality), and addition of beneficial supplementary service (process quality) of kiosk had influence on customer satisfaction level which in turn, also affected continuance intention, but order payment readiness, which is consequence quality, had no effect on satisfaction level. With pervasion and indispensable increase in zero contact payment market, this research expanded our knowledge on kiosk user and established kiosk quality figure that can improve user satisfaction level and continuance intention, ultimately proposing selection guide of kiosk and securing competitiveness for stores.

  • 본 연구는 승객이 국내 공항에서 셀프 체크인 kiosk를 사용하려는 행동 의도에 관해, 개인적 특성과 상황적 변수의 조절효과를 실증 분석하는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 공항 Kiosk를 사용함으로써 승객과 항공사, 공항은 비용 절감의 이점을 누릴 수 있다. 그에 따라 항공사와 공항 측에서는 이러한 경제적 효용을 보다 많은 사람들이 누릴 수 있도록 하기 위해 kiosk의 보급을 늘이고자 하는 입장이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 공항kiosk의 사용률은 아직까지 낮은 수준에 그치고 있으며 그에 관한 연구도 활발히 이루어지지 않고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 확장된 기술수용모델을 기반으로 하여 개인적 특성과 상황적 변수가 승객의 kiosk 사용의도에 미치는 차별적 영향에 관해 분석하고자 한다.

  • This study was attempted to improve the utilization of kiosk DID and to establish the production direction of the kiosk DID to be developed in the future, through analysis of kiosk DID user satisfaction at bus stop. This study showed that the satisfaction of the usability of the bus stop kiosk DID was high but in order to enhance the active use of kiosk DID and user satisfaction, unique and interesting content needs to be added and switched, not just simple information but content that users will immerse.

  • In general, existed kiosk using touch-screen based kiosk system has been used by only single user, so that multiple users to access this kiosk need to provide a lot of waiting time and maintenance costs. To solve this problem, the framework design based on Bluetooth profile for kiosk servers is presented. The proposed kiosk system can be more efficiently used in theater, train station, bank, government, and public offices by using Bluetooth module and AP in mobile system such as smart phone.

A Study on the Effect of e-Lifestyle on the Use Factors and Satisfaction of Self-Service Kiosk (비대면셀프서비스 이용자의 e-라이프스타일이 키오스크 사용요인과 만족요인에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • This study was to identify the effects of four types of e-Lifestyle(life-friendly lifestyle, development-oriented lifestyle, sociality-oriented lifestyle, information-oriented lifestyle) on sustainable behavior (usage and satisfaction) of Kiosk service. The study was based on convenience sampling of 222 consumers, who have at least three months experience of kiosk system use. Results showed that all of the four types of e-Lifestyle had not significant effect on ease of use. However, development-oriented lifestyle and sociality-oriented lifestyle had a positive effects on usefulness of Kiosk service. Results also indicated that e-Lifestyle had significant and positive effects on customer satisfaction and recommendation. In particular, life-friendly lifestyle had an effect on customer satisfaction, and sociality-oriented lifestyle and information-oriented lifestyle had statistically significant effects on recommendation. Since e-lifestyle could potentially influence sustainable behavior for using Kiosk, this study investigated the distribution of usage and consumer satisfaction for every lifestyle type, so as to understand the attitudinal and behavioral evaluation as sustainable behavior in the use of kiosk services. These findings allow researchers and marketers to identify the needs and expectations of specific types of kiosk users.

  • In the recent industry, unmanned systems are expected to continue to spread throughout the economy. Especially in case of cosmetics, Users do not buy it right away. They look around, test it thoroughly, check the reviews, and decide on the purchase. Therefore, unmanned system using kiosk is more popular than face - to - face service of clerks. In this study, the persona analysis was completed based on the results obtained from the questionnaires and in - depth interviews. After sorting out the needs of the users, we applied them to the kiosk UI design of "Lalavela". The purpose of this study is to propose a kiosk UI design that helps many users who want to know information about the product though they are reluctant to ask directly to the clerk.

  • RFID and Kiosk has been acquiring the essential position not only for providing simple information but also as the tool for establishing Ubiquitous based society. Especially it can be said that the time for developing various Kiosks as important methods to conducting marketing and service through the differentiation and easiness on dealing information has come. Considering the present requirement, 'U-Commerce System' has been designed and developed. In the system, the RFID reader installed in 'U-Shop Kiosk System' recognizes the RFID tag on situated the specific products and detail product information and related multimedia advertisement are provided. Moreover, when the customers have the needs to purchase concerned products on the spot, they can pay and order by using credit cards. By employing the system, the amount of stock and delivery condition can be monitored in real time and the gathered information in DB can be used for dealing with stock related matters. In addition, a system can be developed to monitor and manage the remote shops in real time base. Furthermore, to overcome the limit of simple unmanned ubiquitous style Kiosk, the possibility of developing an expansion model of ubiquitous style CRM Kiosk has been suggested.

Kiosk for the Visually Impaired using Voice Recognition (음성인식 기능을 이용한 시각장애인용 키오스크)

  • In this paper, we studied the voice recognition system kiosk for convenience, thinking that the kiosk widely used in modern society should compensate for the inconvenience of using by the visually impaired. Using ultrasonic sensor and PIR(Passive Infrared), it recognizes the visually impaired within the range of 80cm-40cm, introduces the kiosk through the MP3 module and induces them to come closer. Also, when the visually impaired within 40cm is recognized, the product description and order are guided through the MP3 module. A recording-based data voice recognition system and a kiosk that outputs desired items through servo motors were studied. A kiosk for the convenience of the visually impaired was manufactured through operation and optimization experiments of PIR, ultrasonic, voice recognition, and shock sensor for the manufactured voice recognition kiosk. Finally, it was confirmed that security can be strengthened by using shock sensors and emergency bells to enhance security.
