A New Design Method for T-S Fuzzy Controller with Pole Placement Constraints

  • A new design method for Takagi-Sugeno (T-S in short) fuzzy controller which guarantees global asymptotic stability and satisfies a desired performance is proposed in this paper. The method uses LMI(Linear Matrix Inequality) approach to find the common symmetric positive definite matrix P and feedback fains K/sub i/, i= 1, 2,..., r, numerically. The LMIs for stability criterion which treats P and K'/sub i/s as matrix variables is derived from Wang et al.'s stability criterion. Wang et al.'s stability criterion is nonlinear MIs since P and K'/sub i/s are coupled together. The desired performance is represented as $ LMIs which place the closed-loop poles of $ local subsystems within the desired region in s-plane. By solving the stability LMIs and pole placement constraint LMIs simultaneously, the feedback gains K'/sub i/s which gurarntee global asymptotic stability and satisfy the desired performance are determined. The design method is verified by designing a T-S fuzzy controller for an inverted pendulum with a cart using the proposed method.

New Stability Criterion and Pole Assignment for Switched Linear Systems

  • In this paper, we propose a new stability criterion and a controller design method for switched linear systems. The proposed stability criterion is applicable to each subsystem independently without the need to consider the overall system. The controller can be easily designed through geometric relations between eigenvalues of each subsystem matrix. The proposed methods provide a systematic and simple pole assignment approach for switched linear systems. Illustrative examples are given.

  • In this paper, we prove the Cauchy-Rassias stability of derivations on quasi-Banach algebras associated to the Cauchy functional equation and the Jensen functional equation. We use the Cauchy-Rassias inequality that was first introduced by Th. M. Rassias in the paper "On the stability of the linear mapping in Banach spaces, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 72 (1978), 297-300".

  • In the current paper, the intuitionistic fuzzy normed space version of Hyers-Ulam stability for multi-additive, multi-cubic and multi-additive-cubic mappings by using a fixed point method are studied. Moreover, a few corollaries corresponding to some known stability and hyperstability outcomes in intuitionistic fuzzy normed space are presented.

  • This paper deals with stability of active EMI filter. Feed-forward type voltage-sensing voltage-injection (VSVI) AEF is best topology when considering the filter size and leakage current. But it is not studied in stability. Therefore, the detailed and simplified transfer function is derived and it is used to analyze stability. The experimental results are provided to verify the effectiveness of the analysis.

  • In this paper we characterize asymptotic stability via Lyapunov function in general dynamical systems on c-first countable space. We give a family of examples which have first countable but not c-first countable, also c-first countable and locally compact space but not metric space. We obtain several necessary and sufficient conditions for a compact subset M of the phase space X to be asymptotic stability.

  • In this paper we study the stability properties of solutions of nonlinear impulsive integro-differential systems by using an integral inequality under the stability of the corresponding variational impulsive integro-differential systems. Also, we give examples to illustrate our results.

  • In this paper, we investigate the generalized Hyers-Ulam stability of a bi-Jensen functional equation $4f(\frac{x\;+\;y}{2},\;\frac{z\;+\;w}{2})$ = f(x, z) + f(x, w) + f(y, z) + f(y, w). Also, we establish improved results for the stability of a bi-Jensen equation on the punctured domain.
