  • Identifying the stability of rotor systems is prerequisite for clear determination of the parameter identification and safety, through which operating conditions may be rationally ascertained. For this purpose, the complex modal analysis of periodically time-varying system has been introduced by transforming the relation between periodic eigen-vectors and the corresponding adjoint vectors into the latent value problem. Stability investigation associated with modal features for rotor systems is performed using numerical simulation based upon the analysis model.

  • A simultaneous detection and quantification method for determining the Phenylalkylamine derivatives, such as methamphetamine (MA), amphetamine (AM), 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), 3,4-methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDA), ketamine (KT), norketamine (NKT), phentermine (PT), fenfluramine (FFA) and phenmetrazine (PM), in oral fluid was developed and validated according to international guidelines. The validated method was applied to actual oral fluid samples collected from drug abuse suspects. The recovery of phenylalkylamines from oral fluid collection devices was also assessed. Oral fluid specimens from 20 drug abuse suspects submitted by the police were collected using Salivette$^{TM}$, Quantisal$^{TM}$ or direct expectoration. The samples were screened using a biochip array analyzer. For confirmation, the samples were analyzed by GC-MS in selected-ion monitoring (SIM) mode after extraction using automated SPE with a mixed-mode cation exchange cartridge and derivatization with trifluoroacetic anhydride (TFAA). The results from the immunoassay were consistent with those from GC-MS. All the oral fluid samples gave positive results for MA, AM, PT and/or PM. The detection of phenylalkylamines in oral fluid can provide a better indication of recent use than urine or hair. Therefore, the oral fluid specimen was useful for demonstrating phenylalkylamines abuse in the driving under the influence of drug (DUID) as an alternative specimen for urine.

  • Diazepam (DZ) is one of the most frequently prescribed drugs as an antianxiety agent, muscle relaxant, and anticovulsant and sometimes causes intoxication due to accidental overdose, misuse or abuse. Screening or confirmation methods for DZ and NDZ in plasma are very important for clinical and toxicological studies and in forensic cases. GC/MS assay with SPE was developed for the determination of diazepam and its metabolite, nordiazepam in human plasma. Diazepam in plasma was extracted by a rapid and sensitive procedure based on C18 bonded-phase extraction. (omitted)

  • It follows in quality and sewage exclusion method of the investigation objective sector and the Combined Sewer Overflows which is suitable in regional characteristics and the confluence area against the rainfall initially a flow and the medulla and measurement - it analyzes the initial rainfall outflow possibility control plan which is suitable in the domestic actual condition and it proposes the monitor ring plan for the long-term flow and pollution load data accumulation. From the research which it sees the Infiltration water/Influent water and CSOs investigation it passes by the phase of hazard chain and Namwon right time 4 it does not hold reverse under selecting, Measurement it used the hazard automatic flow joint seal Sigma 910 machine and in case 15 minute interval of the I/I, it measured a flow at case 5, 15 minute standing of the CSOs. The water quality investigation for the water leakage investigation of the I/I and the sewage from the point which is identical with flow measurement during on-the-spot inspection duration against 6 items which include the BOD sampling and an analysis, when the rainfall analysis for CSOs fundamental investigation analyzed against 18 items which include the BOD sampling. Consequently, for the optimum interpretation invasion water / inflow water of the this investigation area day average the lowest flow - water quality assessment veterinarian optimum interpretation hazard average per day - lowest flow - it averages a medulla evaluation law department one lowest flow evaluation technique and it selects, it presentation collectively from here it gets, position result with base flow analysis of invasion water / inflow water.

  • The paper presents preliminary investigation results for the effect of the baseline correction in the acceleration excitation method on finite element seismic analysis results (such as accumulated equivalent plastic strain, equivalent plastic strain considering cyclic plasticity, von Mises effective stress, etc) of nuclear safety Class I components. For investigation, finite element elastic-plastic time-history seismic analysis is performed for a surge line including a pressurizer lower head, a pressurizer surge nozzle, a surge piping, and a hot leg surge nozzle using the Chaboche hardening model. Analysis is performed for various seismic loading methods such as acceleration excitation methods with and without the baseline correction, and a displacement excitation method. Comparing finite element analysis results, the effect of the baseline correction is investigated. As a result of the investigation, it is identified that finite element analysis results using the three methods do not show significant difference.

  • We present two fatal cases, a 41-year-old male (case 1) and his 8-year-old daughter (case 2), resulting from acute lidocaine poisoning. Lidocaine was quantified by gas chromatography (GC) analysis using nitrogen-phosphorus detection. The lidocaine concentrations of cases 1 and 2 were: liver, 27.7 $\mu$ g/g and 24.9 $\mu$g/g; spleen, 70.1 $\mu$g/g and 29.9 $\mu$g/g; and gastric contents, 23.6 $\mu$g/g and 42.8 $\mu$g/g, respectively.

  • This study is to develop a named entity recognition model specialized in criminal investigation domains using deep learning techniques. Through this study, we propose a system that can contribute to analysis of crime for prevention and investigation using data analysis techniques in the future by automatically extracting and categorizing crime-related information from text-based data such as criminal judgments and investigation documents. For this study, the criminal investigation domain text was collected and the required entity name was newly defined from the perspective of criminal analysis. In addition, the proposed model applying KoELECTRA, a pre-trained language model that has recently shown high performance in natural language processing, shows performance of micro average(referred to as micro avg) F1-score 98% and macro average(referred to as macro avg) F1-score 95% in 9 main categories of crime domain NER experiment data, and micro avg F1-score 98% and macro avg F1-score 62% in 56 sub categories. The proposed model is analyzed from the perspective of future improvement and utilization.

  • Electric power is an important element in any modern economy. The availability of a reliable power supply at a reasonable cost is important for the economic growth and development of a country. Electric power utilities throughout the world therefore strive to meet customer demands economically with high quality and reliability. As the power industry moves towards open competition, therefore, there has been a call for a methodology by which to evaluate power system reliability through the use of customer interruption characteristics. This paper presents the results of an investigation and analysis of interruption characteristics of an industrial customer in Korea. This study used a direct visit survey to determine the investigation and analysis of electric service quality and the characteristics of industrial customers in Korea. A customer survey conducted throughout Korea via personal interviews of 660 sample customers is presented here. Variation according to characteristics of interruption such as duration, time of day, frequency and day of interruption was also investigated
