  • Since the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China published the GB/T19580-2004: Criteria for Excellence Performance of China, many enterprises in China have adopted the Criteria to enhance their organization business management and to assess or self-assess organization performance. On the bases of both the Criteria for Excellence Performance of China and the survey data from China Association for Quality (CAQ), this paper systematically explores the relationships among 'leadership', 'strategy planning', 'customer and market', 'information, analysis and improvement', 'resources management', 'process management', and 'performance results' by using structural equations modeling and validates some of the anecdotal beliefs in quality management. This quantitative analysis provides a guideline for organizations in China to identify causal linkage among core value of total quality management and to identify strengths, deficiency, and opportunities to enhance competitive advantages and ensure the future business success.

  • The organizational theory and design in future encourages us to bring a fluid perspective to the problems and challenges face. Organizational structure, strategy, management style, teamwork, organizational change, and even products and services can be vitalized and re-formed through creative images that allow us to act in new ways. Leaders and educators sat all levels must gain comfort in dealing with the insights and implications of diverse perspectives. In a leadership paradigm in action, leaders and educators who have more flexibility and willingness to create a learning organization are successful in improving productivity and student empowerment. The key element to organizational structure and changes for interior design education becomes communications. Finally, we need to recognize that despite its roots in mechanistic thinking, organization is a creative process of imagination. We organize as we imagine, and it is always possible to imagine in new ways.

  • Until recently, since the Human Genome Project, the general view has been that the majority of the human genome is composed of junk DNA and has little or no selective advantage to the organism. Now we know that this conclusion is an oversimplification. In April 2003, the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) launched an international research consortium called Encyclopedia of DNA Elements (ENCODE) to uncover non-coding functional elements in the human genome. The result of this project has identified a set of new DNA regulatory elements, based on novel relationships among chromatin accessibility, histone modifications, nucleosome positioning, DNA methylation, transcription, and the occupancy of sequence-specific factors. The project gives us new insights into the organization and regulation of the human genome and epigenome. Here, we sought to summarize particular aspects of the ENCODE project and highlight the features and data that have recently been released. At the end of this review, we have summarized a case study we conducted using the ENCODE epigenome data.

It ascertains the differences between the companies that have introduced the internet commercial transaction and companies that have not. The survey was conducted among the employees of fashion companies from January $15^{th}$ to February $20^{th}$ in 2009. A total of 314 respondents were submitted for analysis using diverse methods that include frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, t-test, and multiple regression analysis. The results show that the perceived internal and external pressures, the support of the chief executive officer and capacity of the organization influence the continuous internet adaptation intention of fashion companies. There are differences in the perceived internal and external pressures, support of the chief executive officer, capacity of the organization, and continuous internet adaptation intention between companies that introduced a internet commercial transaction system and those that have not.

  • Using a sample of 180 managers in small and medium sized organizations in Chungcheong and Southern Gyeonggi Province, we proposed that official communication channel on safety issue will influence managers' safety climate, empathy (safety climate), and eventually occupational accidents. The results supported our hypotheses, showing managers concern about their employees' safety issue when the organization officially emphasize on safety issue. At the same time, it also tells that managers are emphatic on their employees regarding occupational accidents when it comes to safety climate.

  • 1986년부터 1994년까지 진행된 우루과이라운드 협상의 결과로 1995년에 WTO(World Trade Organization:세계무역기구)가 설립되었다. 일례로 유럽 국가들은 그 지역에 적합한 건설 시방서를 작성하기 시작하여 최근에는 EC2(European Code 2)를 출판한 실정이고, 아시아에서는 ACMC(Asian Concrete Model Code:아시아 콘크리트 모델 시방서)를 1990년도 초반부터 연구 작성하기 시작하였다.(중략)

  • The issues of “Integration” in quality management and related fields have been discussed for a few years. Literature review reveals that this is a large and multi-disciplinary topic. Although there are many publications on this issue, very few well-cited articles show direct illustration to why, what and how to implement the “Integration” strategy in quality management. This paper presents a panoramic review and vision on “Integration” issues of quality management, in the perspectives of concept, scope, organization, information, process, and culture.
