GPS/INS integration is widely considered as main navigation systems of vehicles since GPS(Global Positioning System) and INS(Inertial Navigation System) have their own strength and weakness, respectively. Accuracy, continuity, integrity, and availability should be provided in navigation systems of vehicles. Ultra-tightly integration can improve these capacities, expecially availability of GPS. Unmanned Expedition Vehicles(UEV) must be robust against Jamming and external impact because UEV have to substitute for a man when they are in the place where they can not be controlled by a man. This paper analyzes the performance of Ultra-tightly integration and compares it with those of loosely integration and tightly integration for some trajectories

In a centralized database system, all system components reside at a single platform. In recent years there has been a rapid trend toward the integration of information systems over multiple sites that are interconnected via a communication network, and users' needs are changed to integration of multiple information sites. Multi database System is one of solutions for integrating distributed heterogeneous databases. However the problems in multi database system are restriction in distributed environment support, limitation in integrating heterogeneous media type data, static integration, and data-only of integration. In order to solve these problems, we propose a hybrid database integration model, HyDIM. HyDIM is used for the integrating legacy multimedia data, adopting CORBA, MDS, and mediator. We demonstrate a prototype system far PDM application domain.

The purpose of this study was to examine how the relationship with grandparents and intergenerational integration program influences the children's attitudes toward elderly. Data for the study were collected from 132 elementary school students who attended the regional children's centers or social education centers that conduct intergenerational integration programs. The respondents reported positive attitudes toward elderly and perceived elderly as kind, likable, bright, clean and happy. A multiple regression analysis was conducted to identify the variables that affect children's attitudes toward elderly. While frequency of contact with grandparents, perceptions about grandparents, and frequency of intergenerational integration programs had strong effects on the children's attitudes toward elderly, experience of living with grandparents, perceptions about the intergenerational integration programs, and helpfulness of the intergenerational integration programs did not show significant effects on children's attitudes toward elderly.

Effects of food scandals on religious belief, human health and even on causes of death indicate that firms and consumers are vulnerable to integrity risks in the global supply chain. Mitigating the integrity risk and maintaining the credence quality products like halal food is very challenging, if not impossible. Our aim in this research is to show that supply chain integration can mitigate the halal food integrity risk. To illustrate this idea, we have conducted case studies and interviews in seven Malaysian chicken supply chain focal firms. We unpack the halal integrity risks along the supply chain, such as production risk, raw material risk, food security risk, outsourcing practices risk, service risk, and logistics risk. The research argues that supply chain integration, such as internal integration and external integration practices, could minimize the halal integrity risk. The advantages of supply chain integration in mitigating the halal integrity risk are also highlighted in this paper.

The main objectives of this study are (1) to identify the conflict types in IS integration process with respect to M&A, (2) to propose the ways to manage the origin of conflict to be expected, and (3) to develop the conflict management model which establishes the relationship among the M&A strategy, the IS integration strategy and change management process that influence the source of conflict. In order to achieve these research objectives, this study focuses on banking industry under M&A with the viewpoint of change management instead of existing technology-oriented IS integration strategy. The findings of this study are thought not only to be useful as a practical guideline in carrying out IS integration project under M&A but also to provide significant basis for constructing the theoretical framework of effective IS integration strategy.

This systematic review compared Korean and international researches on sensory integration therapy in patients with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). We targeted studies on sensory integration therapy for patients with ASD published from January 2000 through July 2016. Specifically, we analyzed the papers that used the phrase 'sensory integration, autism' as keywords. There were fewer Korean studies of sensory integration therapy, and the diversity of research topics were limited, focusing mainly on case studies. There was no difference between the internal/external validity of Korean and those of international studies targeting the clinical environment and patients. Further study of a variety of aspects of sensory integration therapy is needed to gain high internal/external validity.

We employ a three-dimensional indirect boundary element method (BEM) to simulate temperature change around an underground liquefied natural gas storage cavern. The indirect BEM (IBEM) uses fictitious heat source strength on boundary elements as basic variables which are solved from equations of boundary conditions and then used to compute the temperature change at other points in the considered problem domain. The IBEM requires evaluation of singular integration for temperature change due to heat conduction from a constant heat source on a planar (triangular) region. The singularity can be eliminated by a semi-analytical integration scheme. However, it is found that the semi-analytical integration scheme yields sharp temperature gradient for points close to vertices of triangle. This affects the accuracy of heat flux, if they are evaluated by finite difference method at these points. This difficulty can be overcome by a combination of using a direct numerical integration for these points and the semi-analytical scheme for other points distance away from the vertices. The IBEM and the hybrid integration scheme have been verified with an analytic solution and then used to the application of the underground storage.

This research aims to examine the relationships between empathy and attitudes toward curricula integration of engineering students. To achieve this goal, first, differences in empathy and attitudes toward curricula integration among engineering students were examined. Second, the effects of attitudes toward curricula integration, as perceived by engineering undergraduate students, on empathy were explored. A total of three hundred and two engineering undergraduate students from three universities in Korea responded to survey based on a two-variables scale. The findings were that, firstly, a positive correlation among sub-factors of empathy and attitudes toward curricula integration was identified. Secondly, attitudes toward curricula integration could explain about 12% of empathy. The practical implications of these findings are discussed herein, with particular attention on education for promotion of empathy for engineering students.

This study suggests integration scheme for agricultural governance of South and North Korea after unification by comparing and analyzing their current agricultural governance, assuming drastic changes of economic system in integration process after unification. The North Korea's critical food shortage will force reformation of its agricultural governance to be the top priority in integration process after unification. The agricultural governance of South and North Korea has comparable structures. However, the North Korea's agricultural governance is extremely inefficient because it is established for political purposes. The integration scheme suggested includes expansion of Rural Development Administration, integration of research institutes, establishment of branch of Korea National University of Agriculture and Fisheries, transformation of existing North Korea's organization into South Korea's system and preparation of training programs for North Korea's officials.

A parallel integration approach is proposed for real-time simulation of controlled mechanical systems. The proposed approach, which employs the dual-rate integration method in a parallel computing environment, is developed to deal with stiffness and high frequency characteristics of the controlled mechanical systems effectively. Numerical experiments are performed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach in shared memory multiprocessors, Alliant FX/8 and Alliant FX/80.
