We study existence of polynomial integrating factors and solutions F(x, y)=c of first order nonlinear differential equations. We characterize the homogeneous case, and give algorithms for finding existence of and a basis for polynomial solutions of linear difference and differential equations and rational solutions or linear differential equations with polynomial coefficients. We relate singularities to nature of the solution. Solution of differential equations in closed form to some degree might be called more an art than a science: The investigator can try a number of methods and for a number of classes of equations these methods always work. In particular integrating factors are tricky to find. An analogous but simpler situation exists for integrating inclosed form, where for instance there exists a criterion for when an exponential integral can be found in closed form. In this paper we make a beginning in several directions on these problems, for 2 variable ordinary differential equations. The case of exact differentials reduces immediately to quadrature. The next step is perhaps that of a polynomial integrating factor, our main study. Here we are able to provide necessary conditions based on related homogeneous equations which probably suffice to decide existence in most cases. As part of our investigations we provide complete algorithms for existence of and finding a basis for polynomial solutions of linear differential and difference equations with polynomial coefficients, also rational solutions for such differential equations. Our goal would be a method for decidability of whether any differential equation Mdx+Mdy=0 with polynomial M, N has algebraic solutions(or an undecidability proof). We reduce the question of all solutions algebraic to singularities but have not yet found a definite procedure to find their type. We begin with general results on the set of all polynomial solutions and integrating factors. Consider a differential equation Mdx+Ndy where M, N are nonreal polynomials in x, y with no common factor. When does there exist an integrating factor u which is (i) polynomial (ii) rational? In case (i) the solution F(x, y)=c will be a polynomial. We assume all functions here are complex analytic polynomial in some open set.

광선추적법을 기반으로 하는 적분구 분석 시뮬레이터의 계산속도를 향상하기 위하여 OpenMP 지시어를 이용한 병렬처리 방식의 시뮬레이터를 개발하였으며, 몬테카를로 방법의 무작위성을 보장하기 위해 병렬 난수 발생기인 RngStream 패키지를 활용하였다. $10^7$개 이상의 광선 수를 사용하여 0.5%의 오차 범위에서 적분구 이론식과 일치하는 결과를 얻을 수 있었으며, 스레드 수에 따른 계산속도 향상 효과를 확인하였다. 또한 적분구 문제에 관한 공간반응분포함수(spatial response distribution function)을 전산모사하여, 기존 문헌의 결과와 일치함을 확인하였다.

Reflection measurements are critical to the evaluation of display performance under ambient illumination conditions. Various hemispherical reflection methods are evaluated for their suitability and robustness across display technologies. The standard integrating sphere method is compared to a sampling sphere apparatus.

The aim of this presentation is to suggest a method of integrating the teaching of pronunciation into a typical communicative classroom and on the web. This presentation seeks the way by analyzing useful communicative expressions with a speech analyzer for English learners to see the sound pattern of those expressions and say them right. It is hoped that this presentation will prompt teachers to understand the current role of pronunciation in communicative English programs and that the WWW can help students improve their pronunciation to develop their speaking and listening skills. It also suggests the need for a database of visualized communicative expressions.

This paper presents a method to calculate generation power for integrating Sihwa tidal power into power systems. The sea levels of 1 minute interval using cubic interpolation based on the forecasted levels of high and low water offered from Nori(National Oceanographic Research Institute) are calculated. If the sea level is greater than the lake level and the difference between sea level and lake level at high tide is over the default value, it begins to calculate the tidal power. It is seen that tidal power can supply power to demand side stably and economically from assessment of effect for integrating tidal power into power systems.

A transceiver for a high-speed inductive-coupling link is proposed. The bi-phase modulation (BPM) signaling scheme is used due to its good noise immunity. The transmitter utilizes a complementary switching method to remove glitches in transmitted data. To increase the timing margin on the receiver side, an integrating receiver with a pre-charging equalizer is employed. The proposed transceiver was implemented via a 130-nm CMOS process. The measured timing window for a $10^{-12}$ bit error rate (BER) at 1.8 Gb/s was 0.33 UI.

A roughness measuring system which comprises an integrating sphere and a stabilized laser has been fabricated with the aim of measuring the roughness correction value which is necessary in gauge block measurement by optical interferometry. To calibrate the system, a Newton's ring interferometer has been introduced. The method how to calibrate the roughness measurement system has been described.

In this paper, We studied two methods to measure optical characteristics of an electrodeless light source using the integrating sphere(diameter 1.5m). One is to use a center measurement method and the other is to use a side measurement method. As a result of analysis, a side measurement methode without auxiliary lamp is almost similar against a center measurement with auxiliary lamp to reduce a measurement of an error for luminous flux, luminous efficacy and spectral distribution etc. Therefore, Sample which cannot measured by reason of big size and heavy weight can be measured by a side measurement method.

Marine production forecasting in fisheries is a crucial factor for managing and maintaining fishery resources. Thus this paper aims to generate a forecasting model of total marine production. The most generally method of time series model is to generate the most optimal single forecasting model. But the method could induce a different forecasting results when it does not properly infer a model To overcome the defect, I am trying to propose a single forecasting through multiple time series model. In other word, by comparing and integrating the output resulted from ARIMA and VAR model (which are typical method in a forecasting methodology), I tried to draw a forecasting. It is expected to produce more stable and delicate forecasting prospect than a single model. Through this, I generated 3 models on a yearly and monthly data basis and then here I present a forecasting from 2006 to 2010 through comparing and integrating 3 models. In conclusion, marine production is expected to show a decreasing tendency for the coming years.

The method is presented for determining the free vibration characteristics of a rotating blade having nonuniform spanwise properties and cantilever boundary condition. The equations which govern the coupled flapwise, chordwise and torsional motion of such a blade are solved using an integrating matrix method. By expressing the equation of motion in matrix notation, utilizing the integrating matrix as an operator, and applying the boundary condition, the equations are formulated into an eigenvalue problem whose solution may be determined by conventional method. Computed results are compared with experimental data.
