  • In this paper, we propose to implement an integrated monitoring system using log data to reduce the load of analysis task of information security officer and to detect information leak in advance. To do this, we developed a transmission module between different model DBMS that transmits large amount of log data generated by the individual security system (MSSQL) to the integrated monitoring system (ORACLE), and the transmitted log data is digitized by individual and individual and researches about the continuous inspection and measures against malicious users when the information leakage symptom is detected by using the numerical data.

  • In this paper, we design and implement middleware service modules of MiTS system architecture which is proposed for integrated shipboard information management. The MiTS system is divided to three layers that are gateway, middleware server and application. The gateway collects and parses information and data, the middleware server integrates the data and stores to a database, and the application displays visual data to users. The service modules provide MiTS middleware services to gateways and applications. We implement the service modules based on international standard IEC61162-4 series and test those.

  • In this study, we analyze the performance characteristics of Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) system of K Research Building which was designed with the aim of zero carbon building. In addition, BIPV system, which is consist of three modules; G to G(Glass to Glass), G to T(Glass to Tedlar/Crystal) and Amorphous, has 116.2kWp of total capacity, and is applied to wall, window, atrium and pagora on roof. Therefore, in this paper, our research team analyzed BIPV yield and generation characteristic. BIPV yield was 112,589kWh a year from January 2012 to December 2012. And after applying PV panels on the building, the power from the best setting angle, $30^{\circ}$, of panel was compared. In addition, when the PV was attached practically on the building, the generation power was analyzed. BIPV modules in this study the relationship between module setting angle, type of modules ect. and power characteristics plans to identify.

A Polymer-based Capacitive Air Flow Sensor with a Readout IC and a Temperature Sensor

  • This paper presents an air flow sensor (AFS) based on a polymer thin film. This AFS primarily consists of a polymer membrane attached to a metal-patterned glass substrate and a temperature-sensing element composed of NiCr. These two components were integrated on a single glass substrate. The AFS measures changes in capacitance caused by deformation of the polymer membrane based on the air flow and simultaneously detects the temperature of the surrounding environment. A readout integrated circuit (ROIC) was also fabricated for signal processing, and an ROIC chip, 1.8 mm by 1.9 mm in size, was packaged with an AFS in the form of a system-in-package module. The total size of the AFS is 1 by 1 cm, and the diameter and thickness of the circular-shaped polymer membrane are 4 mm and $15{\mu}m$, respectively. The rate of change of the capacitance is approximately 11.2% for air flows ranging between 0 and 40 m/s.

  • This study presents the design and experimental result of a GaN-based DC-DC converter with an integrated gate driver. The GaN device is attractive to power electronic applications due to its superior device performance. However, the switching loss of a GaN-based power converter is susceptible to the common source inductance, and converter efficiency is severely degraded with a large loop inductance. The objective of this study is to achieve high-efficiency power conversion and the highest power density using a multiphase integrated half-bridge GaN solution with minimized loop inductance. Before designing the converter, several GaN and Si devices were compared and loss analysis was conducted. Moreover, the impact of common source inductance from layout parasitic inductance was carefully investigated. Experimental test was conducted in buck mode operation at 48 -12 V, and results showed a peak efficiency of 97.8%.

  • In this study, the modeling support system was developed which can make easy and fast FE-modeling and verify the results of static and durability analysis for the lower arm, one of the important parts in automobile suspension module. It took into account of the whole complicated design processes verifying the durability coefficients evaluated by fatigue analysis, which should be used to satisfy a design criteria. To guide the FE-modeling the drive page was constructed by using HTML and XML, which was based on expert's know-hows. It is able to integrate the processes to design the lower arm in practice, so that the standardization of its FE-Modeling is achieved, consequently. The 3 dimensional CAD's geometrical data were changed automatically into pre-defined shell elements under the concept of mesh-offset technique, and then welding elements were treated to connect between target and basic surfaces constructed by the shell elements. This system has also a user interface to control boundary and load ing conditions applied in performing of the static and durability analysis, in which many load cases can be applied simply with the MPCs driven by just few mouse clicks. These were implemented on the platform of MSC.Patran and utilized ANSYS, MSC.Nastran and MSC.Fatigue as the solver of the analysis performed. The developed system brings not only significant decreasing of man-hours required in FE-modeling process, but also obtaining of satisfied qualities in analyzed results. It will be integrated in a part of virtual prototyping module of the developing e-engineering framework.

  • Presently, It is required to change convergence the role of hardware system and software technology that promoted trust of In-Vehicle for integrated complex system visibility evaluation. There is possibility for the period system can invoke unpredictable confusing blank state. The blank state systems have ecosystem characteristics that are supplied, maintained and operated through the complex interactions of technology and culture. Using universal middleware can support the life-cycle model and increase the visibility of complex systems and prepare for confusing situations. In this study, based on universal middleware, data and service dynamic standardized modules were evaluated to support stable system visibility platform. The system visibility module consists of Intelligent Pervasive Cloud module, Memorial Service module and Life Cycler connection module. In addition, the analysis results are supported by various network application service standards through platform independent system and architecture.

  • Various modules are generally combined with one another in order to perform rotorcraft preliminary design and its optimization. At the stage of the preliminary design, analysis fidelity is less important than the rapid assessment of a design is. Most of the previous researchers attempted to implement sophisticated applications in order to increase the fidelity of analysis, but the present paper focuses on a rapid assessment while keeping the similar level of fidelity. Each small-sized module will be controlled by an externally-operated global optimization module. Results from each module are automatically handled from one discipline to another which reduces the amount of computational effort and time greatly when compared with manual execution. Automatically handled process decreases computational cycle and time by factor of approximately two. Previous researchers and the rotorcraft industries developed their own integrated analysis for rotorcraft design task, such as HESCOMP, VASCOMP, and RWSIZE. When a specific mission profile is given to these programs, those will estimate the aircraft size, performance, rotor performance, component weight, and other aspects. Such results can become good sources for the supplemental analysis in terms of stability, handling qualities, and cost. If the results do not satisfy the stability criteria or other constraints, additional sizing processes may be used to re-evaluate rotorcraft size based on the result from stability analysis. Trade-off study can be conducted by connecting disciplines, and it is an important advantage in a preliminary design study. In this paper among the existing rotorcraft design programs, an adequate program is selected for a baseline of the design framework, and modularization strategy will be applied and further improvements for each module be pursued.

  • A simple low-cost and small size 1.88-198 GHz Band RF power amplifier module is developed for IMT2000 repeater. The power amplifier consists of two stage amplifiers that the first stage amplifier is drive amplifier using discrete type P-HEMT (ATF-34143, 800 micron gate width, Agilent Technologies) and the second is power amplifier with 300Bm 1dB gain compression point using GaAs FET(EFA240D-SOT89, 2400 micron gate width, Excelics Semiconductor). this power amplifier module feature a 29.5dBm 1dB gain compression point, 29.5dB gain, 42dBm 3rd order intercept point(OIP3) and -10dB/-l2dB input/output return loss over the 1880-1980 MHz. This PA module is fully integrated using MIC technology into a small size and design by full nonlinear design technologies. The dimensions of this PA module are 42(L) $\times$ 34(W) mm.

  • Recently, performance of the mobile phone has increased dramatically. Due to this, it is possible to integrate various biotechnology. There are many ventures to integrate biotechnology with mobile phone, because of increasement interest of peoples well-being. The transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation can Improve the circulation of blood and suppress a pain. To integrate the transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation with mobile phone, it is necessity to make small, low power, and safe module. In this paper, the transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation module is designed and implemented by small boost convertor. The value of tank capacitor, which is the total stimulus energy to human, can be chosen to insure safe condition. The confirm the of operation of designed module, a small micro-controller is used to make system and test the module. The implemented system is small and consumes a low enough power to be integrated with mobile phone.
