Trends of fashion journalism - An analysis under fashion article in magazines of korea - (우리나라 잡지의 패션기사를 통해 패션저널리즘의 동향)

  • In an attempt to teace trands in fashion journalism based on the examination of recent fashion magazines in korea, this study has dealt with the followings: the number of articles on fashion, image of fashion, characteristics of articles, change in "coordinate" and titles, and length of time of publication. The results of this study follow: 1. Among the general magazines for ladies whose titles have been changed, those dedicated to the "Ms class" have increased the pages on fashion and coverage of casual brand: those for housewives have shown no change in contents despite the change in titles, 2. The length of time of publication does not affect the change in the number of articles on fashion. General magazines for ladies have shown the greater "coordinate" in articles on fashion. 3. In terms of the contents of articles on fashion, those devoted to fashion and clothing are specialized and innovation-oriented, whereas general magaines stress the provision of more practical information. 4. The emergence of the X-generation and the newer generation has resulted in positioning of clothing crand, making them chief tarhet readers.ing them chief tarhet readers.

  • The scientific, economical and industrial values of the Moon have been increased, as massive ice-water and rare resource were founded from the lunar exploration missions. Korea and other major space agencies in the world are competitively developing the ISRU (In Situ Resource Utilization) technology to secure future lunar resource as well as to construct the lunar base. To prepare for the lunar construction, it is essential to develop the rover based construction spatial information technology to provide a decision-making aided information during the lunar construction process. Thus, this research presented the construction spatial information technology based upon rover's camera system. Specifically, the conceptual design of rover based camera system was designed for acquisition of a rover's navigation image, and lunar terrain and construction images around the rover. The reference architecture of the rover operation system was designed for computation of the lunar construction spatial information. Also, rover's localization and terrain reconstruction methods were introduced considering the characteristics of lunar surface environments. It is necessary to test and validate the conceptual design of the construction spatial information technology. Thus, in the future study, the developed rover and rover operation system will be applied to the lunar terrestrial analogue site for further improvements.

  • Due to the recent coronavirus outbreak, many universities in Korea have started to implement remote education. Accordingly, the Ministry of Education has stated its plans to continuously encourage and maintain remote learning as the future innovation model for education and suggested the need for a diverse range of remote learning models. However, studies on the development of practical learning models have not been carried out actively until now. Particularly, there are not many case studies in the field of design, especially regarding mobile website development. As means to improve the newly designed practice environment, this study therefore proposes the "modoo" project that offers domain creation and online marketing services. As a result of this study, the researcher suggests the use of a mixed(blending) teaching method and realized that the effectiveness of education multiplies when project-based learning and flipped learning is combined appropriately. The research methodology was divided into two big sections, education content and operations, and the effect was evaluated using the course evaluations. The study results confirmed that the applicability will increase given that learning satisfaction levels increased by more than 5% compared to face-to-face learning.

  • The election broadcast began utilizing virtual studios in the mid-1990s. In 1996, SBS's virtual studio was evaluated as an innovation in Korean broadcasting technology that introduced the world's first virtual studio. However, there have been cases where KBS and MBC named it a virtual studio and used it for election broadcasting. Various CG (Computer Graphics) case studies of election broadcasting have been conducted since the 2000s, but the initial research is inadequate. Therefore, this paper complements existing research by analyzing the cases of the mid-1990s when they actually started using virtual studios. Beginning with SMOCKEY (KBS) and MAGICII (MBC) in 1995, we presented the initial model of the virtual studio, and then with SBS Virtual Studio, each broadcasting company evolved into the names Dream Studio (KBS) and Space 21 Studio (MBC). As a result of the analysis, it was found that the election broadcast is a chart showing the data and the winning prediction, and that the election broadcast was the trigger to compose the story based on the introduction of the virtual studio. It is a form of historical research dealing with the value of the early virtual studios in this paper. It is meaningful to see the process of Remediation.

  • Recently, the fourth industrial revolution has a great influence on the development of many industries as well as the construction industry. Various technologies related to the industrial revolution 4.0, such as AI and big data, have gained much attention. However, little has been known about the importance and preparedness of stakeholders of the construction industry in Korea for the industry 4.0 technologies so far. This study revealed how the stakeholders perceive and prepare for industry 4.0 using a survey. In addition, collaboration potential score for each technology was calculated to find technologies with high potential for collaboration. Result is that the importance of the technologies was evaluated high in overall, but the preparedness and implementation in university education or business was evaluated low. Technologies with high potential for industry-university collaboration are AI/big data and 3D printing/3D scanning. This study can contribute to the training of industry 4.0 experts and improving preparedness, which would enable the innovation and application of industry 4.0 technologies in the construction industry.

  • This study discusses mass unemployment and job insecurity due to the 4th industrial revolution and technological progress. In particular, the construction automation service method can contribute to increasing work productivity, preventing on-site safety accidents, and enhancing the competitiveness of the construction industry according to rapid development and convergence between technologies. However, there is great concern that the position of workers will decrease and the income distribution will deteriorate. Therefore, this study is necessary to alleviate the anxiety of the labor market and to find a direction for the government and all walks of life to ponder. To carry out this study, in-depth interviews were conducted with two experts currently engaged in the construction field, and through analysis, we intend to derive meaning and identify current trends, identify necessary improvement measures and institutional areas and suggest research directions. As a result of the analysis, it is possible to suggest a response strategy in a total of three themes: purpose, implication, and strategy. Based on this, there are response strategies in four areas: (1) industrial site response, (2) worker response, (3) education, and (4) training response, and government and corporate response. Through this study, it is necessary to revitalize economic and sociological discussions in the future so that the improvement in productivity and efficiency of society as a whole due to technological innovation of construction automation services does not lead to social problems such as an increase in the unemployment rate and a decrease in jobs in the labor market.

Analysis of class satisfaction with Peer Evaluation in Collaborative Learning-based classes (협력학습 기반 수업에서의 동료평가에 대한 수업 만족도 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze class satisfaction with peer evaluation in Collaborative Learning-based classes. For collaborative learning-based classes, problem-based learning and project-based learning were selected. Educational implications were derived by designing Instructional procedures of Collaborative Learning-based classes, Peer evaluation types and questionnaire design, Peer evaluation progress of Collaborative Learning-based classes, Class satisfaction research and analysis In Collaborative Learning-based classes. The subjects of the study were participants in Collaborative Learning-based classes selected as problem-based learning and project-based classes. For class satisfaction with peer evaluation in Collaborative Learning-based classes, a survey was conducted on 168 participants A University in Korea. The research tool was designed as Learning procedures for peer evaluation Collaborative Learning-based classes is Team Building, Plan to the Task, To do Task, Mid-check on task, Task completion, Presentation & Evaluation, Reflection & Self-Evaluation. The content validity of items was confirmed by CVR of 12 experts. In the research results, the average class satisfaction of peer evaluation is 4.05(SD=91), followed by class concentration, diligence, voluntary, learning atmosphere. As a result of t-testing the difference in class type between collaborate learning-based classes, the satisfaction of PBL was higher than that of PjBL and a statistically significant difference was observed. The result of this study have significance in providing implications for class design and operation for the application and expansion of peer evaluation in higher education. However, there is a limit to generalization as a result of research using convenience.

Successful Positioning Strategy of KIA K5 - by understanding market needs - (기아자동차 K5의 포지셔닝 성공사례 - 변화하는 시장을 이해하고 주도하다 -)

  • The objective of this case study is to analyze how effectively KIA K5, which is a leading mid-size car brand, has positioned itself into the mid-size car market. Before KIA launched the K5, Sonata and SM5 were the leading brands in the mid-size car market. They had loyal customers who like their similar images. As many competitors keep launching new brands or new designs into the car industry, Sonata and SM5 were pressured to introduce new versions. But, the YF Sonata and the New SM5 failed to catch up with the new trends in the market. Whilst YF Sonata was perceived as too innovative, the New SM5 was treated as an old car by the target customers of the mid-size car. While the two leading brands struggled to attract customers, KIA K5 found a new market space by identifying and focusing on the lucrative replace and up-grade demand segment and filling the gap between the current product category values and the emerging mid-size car category values. The K5 found the right values that customers need and successfully articulated the values to the customers. This case study illustrates that a successful positioning strategy can be effectively employed to attract customers in the saturated car manufacturing industry. This case can be summarized as the successful positioning strategy of KIA K5 is comprised of four primary pillars: design innovation, market analysis, STP (segmentation, targeting, and positioning), and launch strategy. The KIA K5 case study provides valuable insights and implications for many other companies that are planning to find a proper positioning strategy for their own business.

Effects of Fermented Wild-ginseng Culture by-products on Growth Performance, Blood Characteristics, Meat Quality and Ginsenoside Concentration of Meat in Finishing Pigs (발효산삼 배양액 부산물 급여가 비육돈의 생산성, 혈액성상, 육질특성 및 육내 Ginsenoside 함량에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate effects of fermented wild-ginseng culture by-product on growth performance, blood characteristics, meat quality and ginsenoside concentration of meat in finishing pigs. Forty-eight pigs(Landrace×Yorkshire×Duroc, 76.26±1.06kg average initial body weight) were used in 49d growth assay. Dietary treatments were included 1) CON(basal diet), 2) FWG1(basal diet+2.5% fermented wild-ginseng cultures by-product) and 3) FWG2(basal diet+5.0% fermented wild-ginseng cultures by-product). The pigs were allotted into four pigs per pen with four replicate pens per treatment by completely randomized design. No differences were found among treatments for ADG, ADFI and gain/feed from 0day to 49day of the experiment(P>0.05). Dry matter digestibility was greater in FWG1 treatment than CON treatment(P<0.05). In cholesterol concentration of blood, HDL cholesterol was significantly higher in CON treatment than FWG1 treatment(P<0.05). In meat quality, TBARS was significantly lower in FWG1 and FWG2 treatments than CON treatment(P<0.05). In sensory evaluation, Marbling was significantly higher in CON treatment than FWG1 treatment(P<0.05). Firmness in FWG2 and CON treatments was higher than FWG1 treatment(P<0.05). In meat color, L*-value of longissmus dorsi muscle was increased in FWG1 treatment compared to CON and FWG2 treatments(P<0.05). a* and b*-value of longissmus dorsi muscle were increased in CON and FWG1 treatments compared to FWG2 treatment (P<0.05). Ginsenoside concentration of meat was significantly higher in FWG2 treatment than CON treatment(P<0.05). In conclusion, fermented wild-ginseng culture by-product was effective for improving dry matter, TBARS, firmness, meat color and ginsenoside concentration of meat in finishing pigs.

A study on the developing and implementation of the Cyber University (가상대학 구현에 관한 연구)

  • The Necessity of Cyber University. Within the rapidly changing environment of global economics, the environment of higher education in the universities, also, has been, encountering various changes. Popularization on higher education related to 1lifetime education system, putting emphasis on the productivity of education services and the acquisition of competitiveness through the market of open education, the breakdown of the ivory tower and the Multiversitization of universities, importance of obtaining information in the universities, and cooperation between domestic and oversea universities, industry and educational system must be acquired. Therefore, in order to adequately cope wi th these kinds of rapid changes in the education environment, operating Cyber University by utilizing various information technologies and its fixations such as Internet, E-mail, CD-ROMs, Interact ive Video Networks (Video Conferencing, Video on Demand), TV, Cable etc., which has no time or location limitation, is needed. Using informal ion and telecommunication technologies, especially the Internet is expected to Or ing about many changes in the social, economics and educational area. Among the many changes scholars have predicted, the development and fixations of Distant Learning or Cyber University was the most dominant factor. In the case of U. S. A., Cyber University has already been established and in under operation by the Federate Governments of 13 states. Any other universities (around 500 universities has been opened until1 now), with the help of the government and private citizens have been able to partly operate the Cyber University and is planning on enlarging step-by-step in the future. It could be seen not only as U. S. A. trying to elevate its higher education through their leading information technologies, but also could be seen as their objective in putting efforts on subordinating the culture of the education worldwide. UTRA University in U. S. A., for example, is already exporting its class lectures to China, and Indonesia regions. Influenced by the Cyber University current in the U.S., the Universities in Korea is willing .to arrange various forms of Cyber Universities. In line with this, at JUNAM National University, internet based Cyber University, which has set about its work on July of 1997, is in the state of operating about 100 Cyber Universities. Also, in the case of Hanam University, the Distant Learning classes are at its final stage of being established; this is a link in the rapid speed project of setting an example by the Korean Government. In addition, the department of education has selected 5 universities, including Seoul Cyber Design University for experimentation and is in the stage of strategic operation. Over 100 universities in Korea are speeding up its preparation for operating Cyber University. This form of Distant Learning goes beyond the walls of universities and is in the trend of being diffused in business areas or in various training programs of financial organizations and more. Here, in the hope that this material would some what be of help to other Universities which are preparing for Cyber University, I would 1ike to introduce some general concepts of the components forming Cyber University and Open Education System which has been established by JUNAM University. System of Cyber University could be seen as a general solution offered by tile computer technologies for the management on the students, Lectures On Demand, real hour based and satellite classes, media product ion lab for the production of the multimedia Contents, electronic library, the Groupware enabling exchange of information between students and professors. Arranging general concepts of components in the aspect of Cyber University and Open Education, it would be expressed in the form of the establishment of Cyber University and the service of Open Education as can be seen in the diagram below.
