  • This research was studied the action of the coupling ozone-hydrogen peroxide on aqueous humic acid. PEROXONE process is enhanced the generation of hydroxyl radicals which is effective for degradation of organic matters. Therefore the changes of $UV_{254}$ and TOC were investigated through the change of concentrations, injection time of $H_2O_2$, initial pH of aqueous humic acid and concentrations of radical savenger as $HCO_3{^-}$ in the PEROXONE processes. And the GC/ECD was used to detect the formaldehyde formed by ozonation of humic acid. From the experimental results, concentrations and injection time of $H_2O_2$ and initial pH in solution in the PEROXONE processes were very important for enhancing the efficiency of degradation in humic acid. The results indicated that removal efficiency of TOC was the highest when concentration of $H_2O_2$ was 5mg/L, injection time of $H_2O_2$ was 5 minutes and initial pH in solution was 10.5. And presence of alkalinity in solution was reduced the efficiency of treatment. The formaldehyde were formed less PEROXONE processes than only ozone. When initial pH in solution were changed from 3.5 to 10.5, the formaldehyde were formed highest concentration at pH 5.

  • The formation behavior of a passive state film on the surface of STS304 in electrolytic solution was analyzed to determine its metallic ion composition. The properties of passive state films vary depending on the Fe and Cr ions in the electrolytic solution. It was observed that the passive state film surface became flat and glossy as the concentration of Fe and Cr ions in the electrolytic solution increased. The corrosion resistance property of the passive state film was proportional to the amount of Fe and Cr in the electrolytic solution. An initial passive state film with high Fe concentration was formed on the surface of STS304 during early electrolytic polishing. Osmotic pressure of Fe ions occurs between the passive state film and electrolytic solution due to the Fe ion concentration gradient. The Fe in the passive state film is dissolved into the electrolyte, and Cr fills up the Fe ion vacancies. As a result, a good corrosion-resistant floating film was formed. The more Fe ions in the electrolytic solution, the faster the film is formed, and as a result, a flat passive state film containing a large amount of Cr can be formed.

  • In this paper, generalized difference methods(GDM) for one-dimensional viscoelastic problems are proposed and analyzed. The new initial values are given in the generalized difference scheme, so we obtain optimal error estimates in $L^p$ and $W^{1,p}(2\;{\leq}\;p\;{\leq}\;{\infty})$ as well as some superconvergence estimates in $W^{1,p}(2\;{\leq}\;p\;{\leq}\;{\infty})$ between the GDM solution and the generalized Ritz-Volterra projection of the exact solution.

  • In this paper, we study optimal control problems for parabolic hemivariational inequalities of dynamic elasticity and investigate the continuity of the solution mapping from the given initial value and control data to trajectories. We show the existence of an optimal control which minimizes the quadratic cost function and establish the necessary conditions of optimality of an optimal control for various observation cases.

  • An impulsive semilinear parabolic equation subject to Robin boundary condition is considered. We prove that for certain classes of impulsive sources and continuous initial data, the solutions of the problem under consideration blow up in the desired time interval.

  • We measured the rate of water transfer across the isolated small intestine of the rat in Wiseman apparatus using tritiated water ($^3H_2O$) in drinking beverages such as electrolytes solution, fruit juice, carbonated water and barley water. Initial transfer rate of water using four beverages were determined: Electrolytes solution is the fastest and followed by barley water, carbonated water and fruit juice.

  • The method of Conjugate Gradient(C.G.M) is applied to the solution of current distribution from body of revolution (B.O.R).Using the C.G.M it is possible to analyze electrically large arbtrarily oriented B.O.R. The fundamental differences between C.G.M and moment method are outlined. This method converges for any initial guess and this techniqe gurantees a monotonic convergence. Numerical results are presented for electromagnetic case which show good agreement with moment solution.

  • We consider an algorithm for the Crew Scheduling Problem (CSP) based on the Transportation Problem approach. The main flows of the algorithm are arranged in three steps. First we propose a heuristic algorithm of the greedy principle to obtain an initial feasible solution. Secondary we present a method of formulating CSP into a Modified Transportation Problem format. Lastly the procedures of network search to get the optimal solution are presented. This algorithm can be applied to the general GSP and also to most combinatorial problems like the Vehicle Routing Problems. The computational results show that the large size CSP's could be tackled.

  • This short article compares different solution methods for a basic RBC model (Hansen, 1985). We solve and simulate the model using two main algorithms: the methods of perturbation and projection, respectively. One novelty is that we offer a type of the hybrid method: we compute easily a second-order approximation to decision rules and use that approximation as an initial guess for finding Chebyshev polynomials. We also find that the second-order perturbation method is most competitive in terms of accuracy for standard RBC model.
