This paper proposes a personal information protection model that allows a user to regulate his or her own personal information and privacy protection policies to receive services provided by a service provider without having to reveal personal information in a way that the user is opposed to. When the user needs to receive a service that requires personal information, the user will only reveal personal information that they find acceptable and for uses that they agree with. Users receive desired services from the service provider only when there is agreement between the user's and the service provider's security policies. Moreover, the proposed model utilizes a mobile agent that is transmitted from the user's personal space, providing the user with complete control over their privacy protection. In addition, the mobile agent is itself a self-destructing program that eliminates the possibility of personal information being leaked. The mobile agent described in this paper allows users to truly control access to their personal information.

This study examined the efficient management of a fire protection system using spatial information, and basic data for the development of related firefighting industry were obtained. To overcome the problems of malfunction and management failure, which are the major issues of fire protection system management, this study analyzed the related laws and regulations on building spatial information of a fire protection system to introduce spatial information to the fire protection system field. For efficient management of the fire protection system, it is necessary to revise the related laws of the fire protection system, such as protection system-related laws including space information technology, and maintain the standardization, effectiveness, and consistency of fire protection system spatial information.

For the past few years, personal information breach incidents, great and small, occurred constantly. Accordingly, the Personal Information Protection related Ordinances are enacted and amended persistently, and the information security products also keep advancing and developing in the same way. There are the certification systems such as Common Criteria Evaluation and Validation(CC) and Korea Cryptographic Module Validation Program(KCMVP) for the information security products. These are also strictly carried out. This paper analyzes and categorizes the 5 Personal Information Protection related Ordinances in the aspects of technical protection measures by using key words. Here are the 5 related ordinances; 'the Personal Information Protection Act', 'the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc', 'the Act on the Protection, Use, Etc, of Location Information', 'the Use and Protection of Credit Information Act', and 'the Electronic Financial Transactions Act.' Moreover, this study analyzes the association between the technical protection measures in the 5 relevant laws and the information security products that are obtaining the CC Evaluation & Validation(CC) and the products that are now produced at KISIA's member companies.

This study was performed to find a way to correctly recognize the importance of health care information management majors by understanding the level of awareness of patient personal information protection. As a research method, a questionnaire survey was conducted on 458 college students majoring in health care information management from four four-year universities in Pusan. For analysis, descriptive statistics, t-test and ANOVA, Chi-square, and multiple regression analysis were performed. As a result of the study, the awareness of the personal information protection system was high at 68.8%. Factors affecting the level of knowledge on patient personal information protection in medical institutions were found to be high grades, awareness of the Personal Information Protection Act, and whether or not to receive education through major subjects. Therefore, it is necessary to learn about personal information protection through major subjects, and systematic education to be familiar with the patient 'personal information protection guidelines' that are actually applied to work in medical institutions will be required.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify the influence of knowledge of personal information protection law and nursing patient advocacy on practice of personal information protection among nurses. Methods: The subjects were 130 nurses who have worked for six months or more in the ward of the tertiary or general hospitals. Data were collected from February 20 to March 3, 2023. Results: Factors influencing practice of personal information protection were acting as an advocate (β=.32, p=.004), environmental and educational influences (β=.21, p=.040), knowledge of personal information protection law (β=.19, p=.013) and clinical experience for five years or more but less than ten years (β=.17, p=.036). The regression model showed an explanatory power of 34.0%. Conclusion: Acting as an advocate has the most effect on practice of personal information protection. To promote practice of personal information protection for nurses, it is necessary to provide education related to privacy protection and encourage nursing patient advocacy.

Smartwork technology, using teleworking, smartwork centers and mobile terminal, provides a flexible work environments without constraints of time and space. Smartwork system to increase the work efficiency has the information protection threats according to their convenience. Thus, in order to build smartwork, it is proper to provide information protection audit to help ensure the information protection. In this paper, we have proposed an infortaion protection audit model at the practical and technical level for building a smartwork environment. We were classified as a terminal, network and server area for information protection, and derived a professional information protection check items. Further, by establishing a smartwork information protection audit time to map ISMS control items, we have proposed an audit model so that it is possible to improve the security and efficiency. It also verified whether the proposed model is suitable or not by doing a survey if deduced audit domain and check items correspond with the purpose of the smartwork information protection audit to auditors and IT specialists. As the result, this study was 97% satisfaction out of 13 check items.

Purpose : This study explores the effects of dental hygiene students' ethical propensity and self-esteem on their awareness of protecting patient medical information and how these factors interact to influence their professional ethical consciousness. The aim of this study is to highlight the role of university education in shaping the ethical values of dental hygienists. Methods : Between June 1 and November 30, 2023, 210 dental hygiene students in Busan Metropolitan City participated in this study. After providing consent, the participants completed a self-administered questionnaire comprising 69 questions. The questions covered general characteristics (8 questions), ethical propensity (20 questions), self-esteem (10 questions), and awareness of patient medical information protection (31 questions), all measured on a five-point Likert scale. Results : Correlation analysis indicated that idealism had a significant positive correlation with relativism (r=0.35, p<.001), self-esteem (r=0.28, p<.001), and awareness of patient medical information protection (r=0.46, p<.001). Relativism had a significant positive correlation with self-esteem (r=0.17, p<0.05) and awareness of patient medical information protection (r=0.23, p<.01). Self-esteem had a significant positive correlation with awareness of patient medical information protection (r=0.34, p<.001). Multilinear regression analysis revealed that idealism (ß=0.38) and self-esteem (ß=0.22) significantly increased the level of awareness of patient medical information protection. However, relativism did not have a significant impact on the level of awareness of patient medical information protection. The model explained 26.0 % of the variance (24.9 % when corrected). Conclusion : Higher levels of idealism and self-esteem correlate with greater awareness of patient medical information protection. In addition to appropriate program development and strategies, university curricula for dental hygiene students should include systematic and continuous training to enhance the values of ethical awareness, idealism, and self-esteem.

This research aims to empirically explore the antecedents that could impact on internet users' information protection behavior. 282 of sample data collected from internet users was used to test the hypotheses. The results of this research reveal that the internet users' information privacy concerns has a significant impact on self-efficacy, perceived usefulness, and information protection behavior. In addition, we found that perceived usefulness and information protection behavior are significantly influenced by self-efficacy. However, contrary to expectations, perceived usefulness has no statistically significant effect on information protection behavior. These findings provide significant implications for online companies and internet uses as well as educational stakeholders that give educations about information protection.

The purchase of information protection products accounts for the largest portion of corporate information protection activity budgets. However, there are no evaluation factors and evaluation models that should be applied to objectively compare information protection products, and therefore, product selection is difficult. Therefore, in this study, we study the inherent quality characteristics of information security products and select evaluation factors accordingly. The selected evaluation factors are analyzed and a quality determination model is given by weighting according to importance. The target is limited to the network information protection product and can be extended to all information protection products.

Purpose Since the number of personal information breach incidents increased, many people have perceived the importance of personal information protection, in the recent. Especially, the number of personal information breach targeting middle-aged and elderly people rapidly increases. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify the factors which influence to fail of online information security behaviors among the elderly. Design/methodology/approach This study made a research model by adopting the factors deducted from the protection motivation theory. To analyze the research model, we conducted an online survey targeted on the elderly and middle ages users who have nations of Korean and Chinese respectively. Findings According to the empirical analysis result, we identified that only perceived severity and perceived vulnerability affected information security awareness. On contrast, it was also discovered that perceived barriers, self-efficacy, and response efficacy did not affect information security awareness. Additionally, the awareness of information security also did not affect information security behaviors. Middle-aged and elderly people with personal information protection education did more information security behaviors than people those who no education experiences. Korean middle-aged and elderly people with education significantly did more information protection behaviors than the people without the education.
