Construction of Practical Teaching System of Database Principles based on Core Literacy

  • The promulgation of the overall framework of Chinese students' development of core literacy has made the implementation of core literacy into specific teaching activities an urgent problem to be solved in the field of education. Based on the analysis of the problems existing in the undergraduate education under the mode of emphasizing theory and neglecting practice, this paper constructs the practical teaching system of Database Principle Course Based on the core quality, expounds the implementation strategy of practical teaching, and probes into how to train the students in the practical teaching of database principle Cultivate scientific spirit, learning ability, practical innovation, responsibility and other core literacy. After 5 rounds of practice, students have achieved better development in independent development and collaborative work, and their awareness of practical innovation has been significantly improved.

Design of Broad Band Amplifier Using Feedback Technique

  • In this paper, an MMIC broadband amplifier for wireless communication systems has been developed by using an active feedback method. This active feedback operates at much higher frequencies than a method by a spiral inductor feedback and its size is independent of the inductance value. The MMIC broadband amplifier was designed using a $0.5{\;}{\mutextrm{m}}$ MESFET library. The fabricated chip area was $1.4{\;}mm{\;}{\times}{\;}1.4{\;}mm. Measurement showed a gain of 18 dB with a gain flatness of ${\pm}3$ dB in a 1.5 GHz~3.5 GHz band. The maximum output power and the minimum noise figure were 14 dBm and 2.5 dB in the same band, respectively.

  • With the advent of knowledge-based economy and information society, information and telecommunications(IT) industry is reckoned as the crucial sector for the creation and diffusion of technological knowledge. In this study, we analyze the process of 'industrialization of IT'and 'informatization of industries' based on the technology linkage structure, or technological knowledge network. The former is defined as the process whereby IT industry absorbs technological knowledge from other industries to grow as an independent industrial sector. The latter is defined as the process whereby other industries adopt IT technology to enhance productivity and upgrade industrial structure, We employ the R&D stock as a proxy for technological knowledge of respective industries and measure the flow of technological knowledge between industries in terms of I/O relationship. By applying the network analysis, we examine the changing pattern of technology linkage structure of the Korean industry throughout the years from 1983 to 1997. Some policy implications are presented based on the findings from the analysis.

The role of firm size in determining corporate strategies for new product programs

  • Success in new product development is vital to most industrial firms. In recent decades, a firm's new product strategy is incresinglyrecognized as an essential component of the total corporate plan in developing countries. In this research, 81 Korean manufacturing firms are examined to identify the relationships between a firm's product innovation stratege and the performance results with special emphasis on firm size in a developing country. First, a total of 8 strategy dimensions were identified, which constitute the specific elements of firm's innovation strategies. Two independent dimensions of performance were also identified and were found to be closely linked to the strategy adopted. Then, a categorization scheme is developed to distinguish firms according to their size, and proves useful in performance results might be altered for different company size. The findings generally suggest that a well-balanced new product program emphasizing both marketing and technological effort appropriately is needed to make the program successful. The different size of the company is found to call for somewhat different strategy dimensions to enhance the performance results.

An Empirical Study on the Success Factors of Inter-Firm Alliances for New Product Development: With a Focus on the SMEs in Korea

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the major determinants of performance of the R&D alliances, with an aim toward raising the success rate in cooperative relationships. In particular, this study assesses whether the success factors of purchasing relationship identified in the literature apply equally to SMEs in Korea. The results of this study indicate that inter-firm cooperation, experienced cooperation, and efficiency of government support have positive impacts on the purchase rate of new products. On the other hand, R&D intensity and resources of competencies of the firm do not influence it. Additionally, market attractiveness does not moderate the effects of the five independent variables on the purchase. The extracted determinants according to the results of surveys give valuable and practical hints to the SMEs when they make a decision on their R&D alliances with large enterprises.

기술혁신의 관점에서 전자상거래 도입단계의 실증분석 (Analysis of Electronic Commerce Adoption from a Technological Innovation Perspective)

  • Despite the increasing pervasiveness of electronic commerce, very little empirical research has been done to examine its use in organizational contexts. Based on theories from the technological innovation literature, we developed an integrated model of electronic commerce initiation, adoption and implementation in Korea. We selected a random sample of 500 Korean leading companies. A questionnaire survey examined factors in initiation, adoption, and implementation of electronic commerce. Independent variables of this research were environment uncertainty, organizational characteristics(namely, organizational size, centralization, and formalization), and information system maturity. The resultant study sample included 62 firms across the industries. The empirical tests of the hypotheses were performed. According to our findings, environmental uncertainty, centralization, formalization, and information system maturity have a significant effect on the electronic commerce initiation, adoption and implementation.

  • 이 논문은 인터넷 백본서비스 품질에 대해 서로 다른 반응도를 가진 사용자가 있는 경우, 백본을 보유한 독점적 기업은 자사의 서비스에 대해 가격을 어떻게 차별화 하는가를 분석하고 있다. 특별히, 인터넷 사용에 있어 혼잡이 있는 경우, 비선형적인 가격책정이 어떻게 진행되는 것인가에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 인터넷 혼잡효과를 고려할 경우, 제공되는 서비스 품질은 특수한 상황 하에서 망사용자의 전략적 형태와 인터넷 상에 제공되는 어플리케이션의 특성과 무관하게 사회적 최적으로 제공할 수 있음을 보여주고 있다. 또한 사회적 최적품질의 서비스가 제공되지 않는 경우에 있어서 파라미터의 조건들을 제시하고 있다.

  • 본 논문은 조직구성원의 팀내 교환관계와 기술경영교육이 혁신행동에 미치는 영향을 임파워먼트를 매개효과로 고찰하였다. 조직 경쟁력 유지를 위해서는 조직내 혁신행동의 지속적 창출은 필수적인 요소가 되었다. 이러한 혁신행동 창출을 위한 요인으로 본 논문에서는 기술경영교육과 팀원간 교환관계를 고찰하였다. 또한, 이러한 기술경영교육과 팀원간 교환관계가 임파워먼트를 매개효과로 혁신행동에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. 설정된 가설은 다음과 같다. 가설1: 팀내 팀원들간의 교환관계의 질(TMX)이 높은 종업원은 혁신행동 창출을 보다 많이 할 것이다. 가설2: 팀내 팀원들의 기술경영교육이 높으면 혁신행동 창출이 보다 많이 이루어질 것이다. 가설3: 팀내 팀원들간의 교환관계와 기술경영교육이 혁신행동에 미치는 영향에 있어서 개인수준의 임파워먼트는 매개효과를 할 것이다. 이러한 가설의 검증을 위하여 대전의 벤처기업 조직구성원을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며 가설의 검증은 상관관계효과, 회귀분석, 매개효과 분석을 실시하였다. 가설검증결과 팀내 TMX, 기술경영교육은 혁신행동에 정의 영향을 미치고 있었으며 임파워먼트는 매개효과를 하고 있었다. 혁신행동에 영향을 미치는 선행요인으로 다양한 요인이 고찰되었지만 본 논문에서는 임파워먼트를 매개효과로 하여 기술경영교육과 팀내 교환관계를 고찰하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다고 할 수 있다.

Prognostic Model Built on Blood-based Biomarkers in Patients with Metastatic Colorectal Cancer

  • Background: We had previously showed that the neutrophil lymphocyte ratio (NLR), ${\gamma}$-glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT) and carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) are prognostic factors for metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) patients. In this study we developed a prognostic model based on these three indices. Materials and Methods: A total of 243 patients who were initially diagnosed as mCRC between 2005 and 2010 in the Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center were studied. The endpoint was overall survival (OS). Results: NLR>3, elevated GGT and elevated CEA were confirmed as independent risk factors which could predict poor prognosis. Patients could be divided into three groups according to the number of risk factors they had. Those with two or three were defined as the high risk group, individuals with one risk factor as the modest risk group and patients without risk factor as the low risk group. The OS values for these three groups were 16.2 months (2.80~68.8), 24.2 months (4.07~79.0), and 37.2 months (12.6~87.8), respectively (p<0.001). Conclusions: We developed a simple but useful model based on NLR, GGT and CEA to provide prognostic information to clinical practice in highly selected mCRC patients. Further prospective and multi-center studies are warranted to test our model.

중소 제조기업의 기술혁신 성과 결정 요인에 관한 분석 (The Analysis for the determinant Factors on the Outcome of Technology Innovation Among Small and Medium Manufacturers)

  • 본 연구는 기술혁신형 중소기업(제조업 중심)의 기술혁신성과를 결정하는 요인에 대한 분석을 통하여 정부의 기술혁신형 중소기업 지원정책과 기술혁신형 중소기업 평가모델의 적합도를 개선하는데 도움을 주고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 '기술혁신성과'를 기술의 경쟁력 변화 성과, 기술혁신 경영 성과, 기술적 예측성과"를 포함하는 광의의 기술 혁신 성과로 정의하였다. 이를 설명하기 위한 설명변수는 55개 설명변수를 '기술 혁신 능력', '기술사업화능력', '기업의 기술 혁신 경영 능력'의 3가지 대분류 및 중 그리고 소분류를 이용하여 분석을 시도하였다. 분석한 결과, 기술혁신능력, 기술사업화능력, 기술혁신경영능력 모두가 기술혁신성과에 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타나 있다. 특히 기술 혁신 능력은 기술 경쟁력을 높이면서 미래의 사업결과에도 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 기술사업화 능력은 기술 경쟁력 변화 성과를 높이는 것으로 나타났고 기술 예측성과도 높이는 것으로 나타났으나 당장 경영 수준을 높이지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 기업의 기술 혁신 경영 능력은 기술경쟁력변화성과를 높이면서 기술 혁신을 이끌 수는 있으나 동 기간 내에 기술 경영 성과를 이룰 수는 없는 것으로 나타났으며, 나아가 미래의 기술적 성과를 높이지 못하는 것으로 나타났다.
