  • In this paper, block designs for control versus test comparisons among the lines for diallel crosses are proposed. These block designs are constructed by using balanced incomplete block designs. Also, the efficiencies of the diallel crosses block designs obtained through this method are tabulated for number of lines 23 or less.

  • In this paper, orthogonal block designs for partial diallel crosses are proposed. These partial diallel crosses block designs for estimating general combining abilities are constructed by using $\alpha$-resolvable partially balanced incomplete block designs. Also, the efficiencies of the partial diallel crosses block designs obtained through this method are reported in table.

  • Force distribution of incomplete meshing teeth for the OHC drive timing belt system is investigated analytically. Finite difference equations of the belt tension are derived based on the force equilibrium and the deformation of the belt tooth. From the numerical results, it is found that of the force distribution prior to the boundary point shows higher values compared with those of the complete meshing state and the force distribution after the boundary point shows lower values. Also, the magnitude of the incomplete meshing region increases as the rotational speed increases and the tight side belt tension decreases.

  • The author experienced 8 cases of pericoronal radiolucency involving an incomplete tooth crown that had not developed to form the cemento-enamel junction, and the underdeveloped crown sometimes appeared to be floating within the radiolucency radiographically. The first impression was that these cystic lesions had odontogenic keratocysts, but half of them turned out to be dentigerous cysts histopathologically. There has been no report concerning odontogenic cysts involving an incompletely developed crown. The purpose of this paper is to report that dentigerous cysts may develop before the completion of the cemento-enamel junction of a developing crown.

  • The problem of the vibration of arches has become a subject of interest for many investigators due to Its importance in many practical applications. The early investigators into the in-plane vibration of rings were Hoppe $^{1)}$ and Love $^{2)}$ . Love $^{2)}$ improved on Hoppe's theory by allowing for stretching of the ring. Lamb $^{3)}$ investigated the statics of incomplete ring with various boundary conditions and the dynamics of an incomplete free-free ring of small curvature.(omitted)

  • In $I{\times}J$ incomplete contingency tables, the test of independence proposed by Chen and Fienberg(1974) uses $I{\times}J-1$ instead of (I-1)(J-1) degrees of freedom without providing much of an increase in the value of the test statistic. For these reasons, Chen and Fienberg tests are expected to have less power. New Wald test statistic related to the part of Chen and Fienberg test statistic is proposed using delta method. These two tests are compared through Monte Carlo studies.

  • In order to investigate the generation of carbon monoxide and heat loss of incomplete combustion in compartment fires, an experiment was conducted in a small scale compartment by using methanol as a fuel. The concentration of carbon monoxide and the toxicity parameter showed high values when the mass air - to - fuel stoichiometric ratio is under 1.0. The constitution of the combustion gas was showed to estimate it from the . The heat loss due to incompleteness of combustion is about one third of heat of combustion in case of under 1.0.

  • In 2009, Japanese government requires exporters to have individual export licenses for certain items and removes South Korea from White Countries. The export control and regulations are likely to be affected by political factors. This study aims to analyze Japan-South Korea trade dispute with a sequential game with incomplete information. The results show that Japan may apply trade regulations on Korea regardless of efficiency of Korea and the possibilities of regulations increases when political factors are important in its decision on export policy.

  • In order that the steel girder and the concrete slab act as a composite structure, the connectors must have adequate strength and stiffness. If there are no horizontal or vertical separations at the interface, the connectors are described as rigid, and complete interaction can be said to exist under these idealized circumstances. However, all connectors are flexible to some extent, and therefore incomplete interaction always exists. This paper presents a practical structural analysis of composite girders with incomplete interaction by three methods. One is the stiffness matrix method derived from the general solutions of differential equation, another is the finite element analysis that alternate method of solution treats the structure as a frame and defines the spring as an additional member, and the other is the finite element analysis using principle of virtual work. The deflection characteristic of composite girder is investigated using these three methods. Also, this paper propose a simplified procedure of estimating a degree of imperfection for a composite girder with incomplete interaction using the sectional properties of girder and spring constants of shear connectors.
