ITS 장비 성능평가방법 및 성능평가시설 구축 (Developing the Evaluation System of ITS Device's Performance)

  • 최근 ITS가 전국적으로 확대 구축되면서 교통정보의 신뢰성 확보 및 향상에 대한 요구가 증대되고 있으나 현재까지 교통 정보 신뢰성의 중요 요소인 ITS 장비를 시험하고 검사하기 위한 평가방법과 평가시설이 마련되지 않고 있어 교통정보의 신뢰성이 확보되지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 외국의 ITS 장비 성능평가시스템에 대한 사례 연구를 통해 우리나라 실정에 맞는 성능평가방법을 정립하고 성능평가시설을 구축했다.

  • 현재 ITS 성능평가는 교통정보 수집 장비에 대한 평가를 중심으로 시행하고 있다. 하지만 교통정보 수집 장비에 대한 평가만으로는 도로 이용자에게 제공되는 교통정보의 신뢰성을 보장할 수 없기 때문에 ITS 서비스를 평가할 수 있는 제도적인 뒷받침이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 도로 이용자가 제공받는 구간 통행시간정보의 정확도를 평가할 수 있는 방법을 검토하였다. 그리고 실제 도로에서 데이터를 수집하기 위하여 이동식 평가 기준장비를 개발하였다. 개발한 평가 기준장비에 대한 성능평가와 현장 여건을 고려한 평가 방법을 마련하기 위해, 서울청 관할 국도 2개 구간에서 시범평가를 수행하였다. 평가 결과, 서울청에서 제공하는 통행시간정보는 90% 이상의 정확도로 높게 나타났다. 시범평가 결과를 바탕으로 표본 수를 늘리기 위한 기준장비 검지 방식 개선과 수집지점 위치 조정에 대한 사항을 논의하였다.

  • This paper discusses performance evaluation methodologies for wired/wireless Ethernet adaptors. This paper defines test cases for performance evaluation of LAN adaptor and its environments. Performance evaluation of LAN adaptor is mote complex as compared with interconnection devices such as Ethernet HUB and Ethernet switch, because its performance depends on the system on which the adaptor is plugged. Such dependencies include CUP type, RAM size, system bus architecture(PCI bus clock), etc.

  • The balanced scorecard has drawn attention from many researchers in various fields since its appearance in 1992. It became a norm for performance evaluation framework in many areas, such as marketing, information system evaluation, strategic planning, etc. Centered in the large companies in Korea, the balanced scorecard has been popularly used as a performance evaluation tool for human resource management. Now we Question its applicability to performance evaluation tool even in small business. This study tried to apply the balanced scorecard in developing an information system for performance evaluation in a small business. The study showed that the balanced scorecard can be nicely used in small business as a performance evaluation tool. The process of developing an information system is described in detail. The practitioners are to obtain a lot of insights in designing their human resource management systems from the study results.

  • Measuring and evaluating the business performance plays a very important role in managing business. It is both because business performance, in any types of industry, can be evaluated and managed properly only when the measurement of its performance is estimated and because its performance can be improved through an efficient and effective management. Therefore it is essential to build up the performance evaluation system to raise management efficiency of food service industry, to reinforce competitive power of food service industry. In this study, investigated the present performance evaluation system situation of the food service industry and introduced BSC as the main conceptional framework for evaluating the performance of the food service industry. Finally, this study discussed the possible method for building a balanced scorecard to the food service industry.

  • Measuring and evaluating the business performance plays a very important role in managing business. It is because business performance, in any types of industry, can be evaluated and managed properly only when the measurement of its performance is estimated, and because its performance can be improved through an efficient and effective management. Therefore it is essential to build up the performance evaluation system to raise management efficiency of the foodservice industry, to reinforce competitive power of the food service industry. This study tried to propose a novel point of prospective and method in which the performance evaluation in any family restaurant should be illuminated and be performed. In this study, BSC provided the main conceptional framework for evaluating the performance of a family restaurant, and evaluation items of BSC four prospectives - financial, customers, internal business process, and learning and growth-were adjusted so as to be fitted into the business field. Furthermore, this study verified the validity of the proposed performance evaluation method through specific case analyses and used AHP to quantify its validity objectively. Finally, this study found the fact that non-financial prospectives, compared to financial prospectives, should be more importantly considered as the performance evaluation index of the family restaurants. Especially, the study showed that the proportion of performance evaluation indexes related to Customers prospective and Learning and Growth prospective revealed very highly, therefore variables such as customer satisfaction index, per employee productivity, education and training, customer response rate, employee satisfaction index should be emphasized as key factors at the process of selecting indexes and measuring their performance evaluation of the food service industry.

Designing a Hydro-Structural Ship Model to Experimentally Measure its Vertical Bending and Torsional Vibrations

  • We herein propose a new design procedure of a flexible container ship model where the vertical bending and torsional vibration modes are similar to its prototype. To achieve similarity in torsional vibration mode shapes, the height of the shear center of the model must be located below the bottom hull, similar to an actual container ship with large opening decks. Therefore, we designed a ship model by imparting appropriate stiffness to the hull, using urethane foam without a backbone. We built a container ship model according to this design strategy and validated its dynamic elastic properties using a decay test. We measured wave-induced structural vibrations and present the results of tank experiments in regular and freak waves.

UAV를 활용한 ITS검지기 성능평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Performace Evaluation of ITS Detectors using UAV)

  • 본 연구는 최근 활용도가 급속히 확대되고 있는 드론을 활용한 ITS 검지기 성능평가 방안을 부산광역시의 사례를 중심으로 제시하고. 드론을 활용하여 센터 자체적으로 성능평가를 시행할 경우의 경제성에 대해 분석하고자 하였다. 부산시에서 운영중인 DSRC, 영상검지기, 레이더검지기 설치지점 중 분석대상 지점을 선정하여 드론촬영을 실시하고, 영상분석을 통해 통행속도, 대기행렬, 지체시간 등의 데이터를 확보하여 검지기수집 데이터와 비교하였다. 비교분석 결과, DSRC, 영상검지기 등 대다수의 주요 검지기 성능평가에 드론활용이 가능하다는 것을 충분히 확인하였으며, 실제로 현장의 상당수 검지기의 성능개선이 필요하다 사실도 손쉽게 파악할 수 있었다. 또한, 센터 자체인력으로 성능평가 수행시 외부기관 위탁시와 비교하여 절반 이하의 비용이 소요되어 비용과 시간 측면에서 매우 경제성이 높은 것으로 분석되었다.

사용자 특성이 인터넷 쇼핑몰 이용에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증적 연구 (Empirical Validation of Customer Characteristics on Internet Shopping Mall Usage)

  • This study establishes key factors on ISM (Internet Shopping Mall) performance in Korea. The four factors are derived from the relevant literature and clarified the concept of ISM characteristics, customer characteristics, ISM evaluation level. and perceived risks by distinguishing between its components and determinants. ISM performance indicators were derived from the previous studios classifying by ISM attitude and ISM usage. We examine on the impact of ISM characteristics and customer characteristics on the ISM evaluation level, then its level and perceived risks on the ISM performance. Hypotheses on four factors of ISM performance were tested for 172 respondents. Results indicate that four factors may partially serve as key predictors on ISM performance. ISM characteristics and customer characteristics was found to be positively influenced on ISM evaluation level, and its level also positively affected on ISM performance while perceived risks negatively affected on ISM performance.

A Case Study on the Performance Evaluation of a Not-for-Profit Organization by the Balanced Scorecard Perspectives: Focused on the Korea Shipping Association

  • This paper aims to examine the use of the Balanced Scorecard in a not-for-profit organization (the Korea Shipping Association). The KSA has begun using the Balanced Scorecard paradigm in its strategic planning process. In this paper an overview is presented of the basic concepts of the Balanced Scorecard including the financial perspective, customer perspective, internal process perspective, and learning and growth perspective. The accounting system and its pros and cons of the KSA are then surveyed in terms of its performance evaluation. The application of the Balanced Scorecard approach to the KSA is discussed in detail. Implications in using the Balanced Scorecard are discussed. Finally, conclusions regarding the use of the Balanced Scorecard in a not-for-profit organization are presented. Through this paper, the comprehensive understanding of the performance evaluation for not-for-profit organizations as the KSA would be promoted.
