  • Agricultural machines can be viewed as a very important factor to reduce the workforce and reduce production costs as well as keep up with now days trend caused Labor shortages and the workforce reduction by aging in rural. The latest agricultural machinery has developed into a major agricultural industry to apply and integrate the telecommunication, next-generation batteries, semiconductors, wireless communications, content and high-tech display industry technology with a wide range of applications. In this study, to apply the information and communication technologies on agricultural planters relied on a mechanical method, we designed a quick and sophisticated ICT convergence planters that enable to monitor.

  • The maritime ICT-convergence equipment are essentially required to a type approval (TA) certification that needs environmental and functional tests, to install in vessel. The environmental test is to experiment the possession for required durabilities of the target device in maritime environment, and the functional test is to check the required functions of target equipment based on international standard. In Korea, the environmental testing facilities amount to 227 sites, but there is no functional testing facility. Because of this, we establish a function test facility for the maritime ICT-equipment. In this paper, we analyze and design the functional testing requirement and required interlocking simulators for digital interfaces and navigation communication equipment. We propose the 2-steps of functional testing procedures, which are single test and integration test, to improve the reliability of testing result. The single test is to examine own functions of the target device, and the integration test is to check harmonized operation with other navigation and communication devices.

  • In this paper, we propose an ICT-based smart farm design. At present, the decrease in rural population is naturally inevitable due to the decrease of the total population. The economic burden on each farm grows with increasing labor costs. As a solution to this, the necessity of spreading smart farms using computing resources is emerging. The proposed system utilizes the ICT technology emerging from the Fourth Industrial Revolution. We will use big data analysis to collect a large amount of data and propose a platform for managing collected data and providing efficient services. The proposed platform consists of SOA service layer, middleware layer, resource pool layer and physical resource layer. ICT-based smart farm service can reduce costs and be easy to install and manage because ICT-based smart farm service provides only necessary functions from the user's point of view.

  • The research objectives investigates main research topics and trends in the information and communication technology(ICT) field, Korea using LDA(Latent Dirichlet Allocation), one of the topic modeling techniques. The experimental dataset of ICT research and development(R&D) project of 5,200 was acquired through matching with the EZone system of IITP after downloading R&D project dataset from NTIS(National Science and Technology Information Service) during recent five years. Consequently, our finding was that the majority research topics were found as intelligent information technologies such as AI, big data, and IoT, and the main research trends was hyper realistic media. Finally, it is expected that the research results of topic modeling on the national R&D foundation dataset become the powerful information about establishment of planning and strategy of future's research and development in the ICT field.

  • This paper aims to provide a better understanding about how Information and Communication technology (ICT) has diffused. The investigation is conducted with the consideration of ICT evolution in terms of technological change and usage pattern. The definition used is presented as 'the ICT is a process of convergence of technologies between information-processing and information-transforming technologies, mainly due to the advent of microelectronlcs'. After examining technological changes of ICT, the diffusion path of ICT is traced through the usage ratio in total input and/or investment based on Input-Output tables (I-O). It shows that the evolution of ICT from the change of usage pattern is an up-and-down usage pattern rather than a uni-modal usage time path. With this recognition, the diffusion index is prepared. • Purpose Smart farms play a leading role in changing the safety food culture for the citizens. The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors that are important to covid 19-response in the case of ICT smart farm. To do so, we classified the factors as operating effect aspect and industrial wave effect aspect of the smart farm. Design/methodology/approach This study was conducted by visiting Geumsan County, which is attempting to perform a smart farm. Through interviewing farmers representatives based on their operational effect expectations on the smart farm, we derived the industrial crash effect factors and thereafter designed the research model. This study applied AHP, which is an expert decision-making method cans be used to measure relative importance for determining priorities. After interviewing the experts with smart farm, we obtained the factors which are important to smart farm development. Findings According to analysis, the productivity improvement factor was ranked as the most important among the operational effect items. This is consistent with the ultimate goal of smart farms with ICT convergence technology, which is increase the profitability of agriculture. The second place is the factor in the development of infrastructure and infrastructure, and the third and fifth positions were export expansion, environmentally friendly management, and job creation in terms of operational effectiveness.

  • The potential security threat is increasing as the supply of ICT products to the defense sector increases with the development of information and communication technology. Attempts to neutralize, such as intelligence gathering and destruction, through attacks on the defense power support system and the intelligence system of the weapons system could pose a fatal threat. Therefore, security measures of supply chain shear system that take into account ICT product production and operation stage to maintenance stage are needed in defense field. In the paper, technical and administrative measures for responding to 12 ICT supply chain security threats at each stage of the defense ICT supply chain life cycle were presented.

  • The research analysis will be proceeded with a specific question: The kind of endeavors the ICT providers must focus on within the ICT industry's Schumpeterian pattern of using barriers of knowledge during the rapid technological transformation and pursuing appropriability of guaranteed opportunities. The study was carried out by targeting and conducting empirical observations on the proliferation of technological patent applications made by ICT companies among approximately 5,700 listed North American corporations. The risk of arising cases, in which late-coming non-ICT companies adopt and participate in the technical pertinence and concept derived from the technological advent, will be treated as an independent variable in a survival analysis. Through this analysis, innovative technological attempts and absorption capabilities indicate significance.

  • Companies are now rapidly entering the realm of the realtime economy named 'Now Economy'. 'Now Economy' features the measurement and assessment, accelerating speed of decision making about business. According to this, companies intend to change their disposition to be able to make quick and accurate decision by gathering informations rapidly and correctly, and then by processing that. Applications of ICT can be possible to change the new decision system of companies. In this thesis, the new decision system through amalgamations of BPMS, Mobile, Cloud Service, Hadoop, BI and AI is presented. It will be able to make decision quickly and accurately by collecting all information between the most efficiently managed process and formal and informal data inside company through this, and then by combining changes with situations outside company.

  • Utilizing Sb-based bulk epilayers on large-scale low-cost substrates such as GaAs for fabricating infrared (IR) photodetectors is presently attracting significant attention worldwide. For this study, three sample series of $GaAs_xSb_{1-x}$, $In_{1-x}Ga_xSb$, and $InAs_xSb_{1-x}$ with different compositions were grown on semi-insulating GaAs substrates by using molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) and appropriate InAs quantum dots (QDs) as a defect-reduction buffer layer. Photoluminescence (PL) signals from these samples were observed over a wide IR wavelength range from $2{\mu}m$ to $12{\mu}m$ in agreement with the expected bandgap, including bowing effects. In particular, interband PL signals from $InAs_xSb_{1-x}$ and $In_{1-x}Ga_xSb$ samples even at room temperature show promising potential for IR photodetector applications.
