  • This paper presents recent trends on the on-line monitoring and diagnostic systems for oil-immersed transformers. Specially, our system on YeoSu thermal power plant is introduced for high sensitivity and accuracy of ours. It is combined with communication networks to provide an on-line remote monitoring system. Several alarm criteria are formulated to enable a superimposed monitoring system to perform decisive action. The reasons for monitoring the condition and maintaining the health of electrical apparatus were discussed. The experience at the fields and the criteria for the judgment are also discussed in detail.

  • In this paper, the insulation system of induction motor for subway traction was designed. In order to design the insulation system of induction motor, various types of insulation system were compared, at first, and test method was investigated in order to verify the designed insulation system. The designed insulation system was satisfied economically, technically by experimental test.

  • This paper describes the prediction of location of PD signals in GIS using the difference in the measured time between first and second wave arrival by the external-type PD sensors. It is well accepted that the electromagnetic wave in GIS propagates at the velocity of $3{\times}10^8$m/s. Consequently, we could identify the location of PD with high accuracy. The experience at the fields and the problems for the judgment are also discussed in detail.

  • The main purpose of this study is to design and develop the information display device for power conditioning system of photovoltaic power generation system. The function of this device is to display the information, communicate with PCS controller and store the special information. The developed device is tested to verify the performance and experimental results show the excellent performance. An actual running test is being carried out to verify the reliability of the device including PCS by applying it to 10kW level photovoltaic power generation system established in Ulsan College.

  • 농형 유도전동기의 센서리스 벡터제어시 기존의 약계자 알고리즘은 오토튜닝 오차에 의해 자속기준값이 크게 계산되어질 때 역기전력과, 전압제한값에 의해 최대전류를 출력할 수 없다. 본 논문에서는 약계자 영역에서 토크분 전류제어 오차를 이용하여 자속 기준값을 보상함으로써 전류부족에 의한 속도강하를 방지하는 알고리즘을 소개하였고, 시뮬레이션을 통해 그 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • In this paper, light-weight system of linear induction motor(LIM) for light railway train is presented, and is compared with former type of LIM. For the light-weight system without modification of motor size the material of primary core(silicon steel) is changed with iron-cobalt alloy and the material of primary winding(copper) is changed with aluminium. The characteristics of LIM are analyzed. Specially, the air gap magnetic flux density distribution due to end effect is showed with motor velocity, we will present papers continuously through designing and testing a trial product.

  • 본 연구는 GIS 변전소 내 Dead Bus의 잔류전압 평가에 관한 것이다. 차단기 개방시 발생된 잔류전압이 철공진 현상에 의한 것임을 증명하고 원활한 CB의 재투입을 위해 사선모선의 전압조건 설정시 공진 과전압을 고려하여 재설정 하였다. 철공진 현상을 모의하기 위해 PSCAD/EMTDC를 이용하여 적절한 PT 모델링 방안을 제시하였고 이를 PT 철공진 측정시험결과와 비교 검증하였다. 또한, 제안된 PT 모델과 다양한 GIS 모선 운영에 따른 계통회로를 구성하여 사선모선의 잔류전압을 계산하였다.

  • The main purpose of this study is to design and develop the grid connected 4kW photovoltatic PCS(Power Conditioning System) targeting for Japanese market. To make this task, the development of DC to DC converter, one phase inverter and EMI filters, and the research on connection between inverter and utility line are made. The developed 4kW PCS has fully carried out performance verifications and evaluation works and acquired the JET(Japan Electrical Safety & Environment Technology Laboratories) certification for safety and performance.

  • The standards and technologies developed by the standard organizations and industry consortiums, which are being driven by the computer industry and are making the foundations of the open distributed systems are presented. Its benefits and impacts on EMS industry are described. This paper contains software architecture of open distributed system software. The proposing software architecture is aiming to develop all software highly versatile and open to third party hardware and software, and able to have the incremental modifications and additions.
