Hydrological models simulate the land phase components of the water cycle and provide a mechanism for evaluating the effects of climatic variation and change on water resources. Evapotranspiration(ET) is a critical process within hydrological models. This study evaluates five different methods for estimating ET in the SLURP(Semi-distributed Land Use Runoff Process)model, in the Yongdam basin. The five ET methods were the FAO Penman-Monteith, Morton CRAE (Complementary Relationship Area Evapotranspiration), the Spittlehouse-Black, the Granger, the Linacre model. We evaluated the five ET models, based on the ability of SLURP model to simulate daily streamflow, and How the five ET methods influence the sensitivity of simulated streamflow to changes in key model parameters and validation SLURP independently for each ET methods. The results showed that the Merton CRAE model had more physical significance and gave better agreement simulated stream flow and recorded flows. It noted that the Morton CRAE model might be more appropriate for the simulation of the actual evapotranspiration in SLURP hydrologic model.

In order to analyze key parameters of important radionuclides in dose evaluation model of decommissioning site, a sensitivity analysis was performed. This analysis assumed a resident farmer for an exposure scenario and 0.037Bq/g for the concentration of radionuclides. As a result of sensitivity analysis, the key parameters of radionuclides considered were the area of contaminated zone, external gamma shielding factor and indoor time fraction for Cs-137 and Co-60. The key parameters for C-14 were the environmental parameters and hydrological parameters of unsaturated zone. Also, the key parameter for Sr-90 was the density of contaminated zone.

In general, Rainfall-Runoff model parameter set is optimized using the entire data to calculate unique parameter set. However, Korea has a large precipitation deviation according to the season, and it is expected to even worsen due to climate change. Therefore, the need for hydrological data considering seasonal characteristics. In this study, we conducted regional sensitivity analysis(RSA) using the conceptual Rainfall-Runoff model, GR4J aimed at the Soyanggang dam basin, and clustered combining the RSA results with hydrometeorological data using Self-Organizing map(SOM). In order to consider the climate characteristics in parameter estimation, the data was divided based on clustering, and a calibration approach of the Rainfall-Runoff model was developed by comparing the objective functions of the Global Optimization method. The performance of calibration was evaluated by statistical techniques. As a result, it was confirmed that the model performance during the Cold period(November~April) with a relatively low flow rate was improved. This is expected to improve the performance and predictability of the hydrological model for areas that have a large precipitation deviation such as Monsoon climate.

Hydrological models are tools intended to realistically represent the basin's complex system in which hydrological characteristics result from a number of physical, vegetative, climatic, and anthropomorphic factors. Spatially distributed hydrological models were first developed in the 1960s, Remote sensing(RS) data and Geographical Information System(GIS) play a rapidly increasing role in the field of hydrology and water resources development. Although very few remotely sensed data can applied in hydrology, such information is of great. One of the greatest advantage of using RS data for hydrological modeling and monitoring is its ability to generate information in spatial and temporal domain, which is very crucial for successful model analysis, prediction and validation. In this paper, SLURP model is selected as semi-distributed hydrological model and MODIS Leaf Area Index(LAI), Normalized Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI) as Remote sensing input data to hydrological modeling of Kyung An-chen basin. The outlet of the Kyung An stage site was simulated, We evaluated two RS data, based on ability of SLURP model to simulate daily streamflows, and How the two RS data influence the sensitivity of simulated Evapotranspiration.

In January 2021 heavy flood affected South Kalimantan with causing many casualties. The heavy rainfall is predicted to be generated due to the ENSO (El Nino-Southern Oscillation). The weak La-Nina mode appeared to generate more convective cloud above the warmed ocean and result in extreme rainfall with high anomaly compared to past historical rainfall event. Subsequently, the antecedent soil moisture distribution showed to have an important role in generating the flood response. Saturated flow and infiltration excess mainly contributed to the runoff generation due to the high moisture capacity. The hydro-meteorological processes in this event were deeply analyzed using the coupled atmospheric model of Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) and the hydrological model extension (WRF-Hydro). The sensitivity analysis of the flood response to the SST anomaly and the soil moisture capacity also compared. Result showed that although SST and soil moisture are the main contributors, soil moisture have more significant contribution to the runoff generation despite of anomaly rainfall occurred. Model performance was validated using the Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) and Soil Moisture Operational Products System (SMOPS) and performed reasonably well. The model was able to capture the hydro-meteorological process of atmosphere and hydrological feedbacks in the extreme weather event.
The impacts of climate change on soil moisture in sub - Arctic watershed simulated by using the hydrologic model. A range of arbitrary changes in temperature and precipitation are applied to the runoff model to study the sensitivity of soil moisture due to potential changes in precipitation and temperature. The sensitivity analysis indicates that changes in precipitation are always amplified in soil moisture with the amplification factor for flow. The change in precipitation has effect on the soil moisture in the catchment. The percentage change in soil moisture levels can be greater than the percentage change in precipitation. Compared to precipitation, temperature increases or decreases alone have impacts on the soil moisture. These results show the potential for climate change to bring about soil moisture that may require a significant planning response. They are also indicative of the fact that hydrological impacts affecting water supply may be important in consider-ing the cost and benefits of potential climate change.
This study intends to provide the necessary basic data needed for predicting the water quality and examining changes in water quality on the basis of the hydrological changes: an outflow or the character of a flow by investigating the interaction of the parameters through the estimation of optimal parameters need for predicting the water quality of the dam basin and the sensitivity among those estimated parameters. Im-Ha Dam in the upstream area of the Nakdong River was selected for analysis, and the water quality survey data necessary for parameter estimation was based on the monthly water quality data (water temperature, BOD, T-N and T-P) between December 1, $2005{\sim}$November 31, 2006. K1C(the saturated growth rate of plant plankton), K1RC (endogenous respiratory quotient of plankton), KDC(deoxidized ratio), K71C(minealized ratio of dissolved organic phosphorus), K83C(mineralized ratio of dissolved organic nitrogen) have been considered as the factors of the water quality performed in this water quality simulation, that is, the most effective parameters on BOD, T-N and T-P. In the result of the analysis of the sensitivity, KDC(deoxidized ratio) was the most sensitively reacted parameter on BOD and it was K71C(mineralized ratio of dissolved organic phosphorus) and K83C(mineralized ratio of dissolved organic nitrogen) on T-N and T-P. It is considered that it will be possible to apply the most optimal parameter to an analysis of the water quality simulation at Im-Ha Ho basin in the goal year by examining the interaction of the parameters through the parameters sampling which are able to applicable to prediction of the water quality and the analysis of the its sensitivity, in the future, also the analysis on the basis of the hydrological conditions: an outflow or the character of a flow will be needed.
This study presents a systematic framework to derive the best values of design and planning parameters for low impact development (LID) practices. LID was developed to rehabilitate the distorted hydrological cycle due to the rapid urbanization. This study uses Water Management Analysis Module (WMAM) to perform sensitivity analysis and multiple scenario analysis for LID design and planning parameters of Storm Water Management Model (SWMM). This procedure was applied to an urban watershed which have experienced rapid urbanization in recent years. As a result, the design and planning scenario derived by WMAM shows lower total flows and peak flow, and larger infiltration than arbitrary scenarios for LID design and planning parameters. In the future, economic analysis can be added for this application in the field.

A validation study has been performed using the Soil and Water Assessment Tool(SWAT) model with data collected for the Neponset River watershed, which includes roughly 130 square miles of land located southwest of Boston. All of this land drains into the Neponset River, and ultimately into Boston Harbor. This paper presents the methodology of a SWAT model. The calculated contribution of the baseflow to the streamflow is far too high whereas the interflow is strongly underestimated. Alternatively, the modified and calibrated model yields far better results for the catchment. The modification allows hydrological processes to be modeled while not restraining the applicability of the model to catchments with other characteristics. For this study, the SWAT 2005 model is used with ArcGIS 9.1 as an interlace, and sensitivity analysis is performed to provide rough estimated values before adjusting sensitive input parameters during calibration period.

The effects of the temporal scale of input hydrological data on runoff simulation have been studied using hydrological data with various time scales. TOPMODEL has been employed to explores these effects. The Genetic a1gorithm was used to calibrate model Parameters. The results of sensitivity analysis in various time scales provide the insight of parameter space for TOPMODEL operation of different time scale. The variation of temporal scale of input hydrological data appeared to have significant impacts on the model efficiency, average water table depth, the ratio of the surface runoff to the total runoff and the calibrated parameters. Generally, the longer the time scale, the more surface runoff and the less average water table death were calculated. It is found that the impact of lime scale to runoff simulation results from the structure of TOPMODEL and the hydrographic morphology.
