This study is used to understand the characteristics of home economics teachers that could to help develop personal development in home economics teacher and home economics education. The questionnaire survey was conducted on 150 home economics teachers who belong to either the home economics teachers' study association or Korean home economics education essociation. The survey was processed with frequency analysis, standard deviations, factor analysis, independent sample t-test, and reliability analysis using SPSS 12.0 depending on the contents of the research. The study results are as follows. First, for home economics teachers' conscious teaching, they build their own identities as experts, and have a vocation and sense of duty for their job. The culture of research and investigation community to study education and to maintain collaborative relationships with teachers of home economics teachers' associations has evolved. Second, home economics teachers have the ability to analyze and manage students' demands in order to perform teaching activities, and understand individual student characteristics. They understand new study trends and curriculum, develop sources for class, use appropriate teaching and learning theories, and create students' reflective activities. In addition, they grow their learning ability as specialist and study in self-oriented ways.

The purpose of this study was to examine the school parent and student's perception of Practical Arts and Technology Home Economics and to suggest plan to school parent of multicultural and learning disability families. The subjects of this study were elementary and secondary teachers who teaching Practical Arts or Technology Home Economics. The instrument of this study was questionnaire including five sections: influence on students by Practical Arts and Technology Home Economics, interest in Practical Arts and Technology Home Economics to school parents, school support with learning ability improvement, school parents support with home in Practical Arts and Technology Home Economics, data form of school parents support with home in Practical Arts and Technology Home Economics. The findings of this study were as follows; Sociality development of students is influential by Practical Arts and Technology Home Economics. School parents and students believe important subjects in Practical Arts and Technology Home Economics. Teachers ask for support with learning ability improvement for practical training space and programs in Practical Arts and Technology Home Economics. School parents ask for support with learning ability improvement of programs of teaching learning method for home education on Practical Arts and Technology Home Economics.

Purpose: This study is a repetitive comparative analysis of a qualitative case study that carried out a home visiting oral health education program. Method: This study conducted an interview survey through medical examination by interview before and after the home visiting oral health education and measured some pathogenic microorganism counts in the denture. Results: There was a positive change in the self oral care ability of the elderly at home after home visiting oral health education, including the behavior of self management of dentures, and some pathogenic microorganism counts in the dentures. Conclusion: The home visiting oral health education of home care service centers can improve oral health care for the elderly at home.

In this paper, we introduced our designed TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access) based MAC (Medium Access Control) protocol for Home Networks called HomeTDMA. We have implemented and tested it in a test bed using crossbow motes and TinyOS. We also have compared HomeTDMA and CSMA (Carrier Sense Multiple Access) in terms of space and time complexity, channel access time, delivery success ratio, and throughput. Based on our results, HomeTDMA has an advantage over CSMA on channel access time, throughput and delivery success ratioIn the case of complexity, HomeTDMA is more complex compared to CSMA. Thus, CSMA is more appropriate in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) where memory, energy, and throughput are important parameters to be considered. However, HomeTDMA has a natural advantage of collision free medium access and is very promising for home networks where a reliable transmission or data transfer and congestion control is highly preferred.

The Home network system means that information appliances, Home PCs, etc., using wired or wireless network method enable to control and share with peripheral devices such as internet, shared data, a scanner and a printer, and it is networking solution, which intelligent communication will be possible as the system which can do a remote control such as TV Set, refrigerators, air conditioners, DVD players, digital camcorders based on external network using an internet, a potable information terminal and a mobile phone whenever, wherever and freely. In this study, the home network interface solution is used one of the wired network standards, PLC (Power-Line Communication) technology, so we can construct of intelligent home network's home controller without re-build a network at home. On keeping with current waves of thought, we will focus on a home controller development with great interest which is enabled to do an effective managed control, applying intelligent home network technology which can be new paradigm like a cyber apartment.

In order for end-users in home networks to receive opportunities for useful services that go beyond legacy Internet Protocol TV (IPTV) services, this paper proposes a service platform that resides on the residential gateway (RG) for interworking between the home network and IPTV. This proposed service platform is called the home-oriented IPTV service platform (HISP) on the RG (HISP-RG). The proposed HISP-RG provides open architecture and functionalities to enable 3rd party IPTV service providers to locally and directly deliver home-oriented IPTV services to end-users in home networks. The HISP-RG can be an "add-on" and not a "built-in" solution for the existing standard RG. This paper introduces several home-oriented IPTV services that can be executed and delivered locally through the HISP-RG. Then, the open architecture and functionalities of the HISP-RG are defined and their requirements are specified. Finally, use cases of the HISP-RG for home-oriented IPTV services are presented.

The purpose of the study is to search for on teaching and learning to improve creativity in home economics education. It has been important for students to formulate and solve problems about home and family through creative thinking, home economics educators have to provide these teaching and learning methods. This research's methods were to search the importance of creativity in home economics education and the relevance between home economics and creativity, then to find the problems of some recent creativity education and formulate the assumption for creativity education in home economics education. Finally, it was presented the examples of teaching and learning to improve creativity. In above the process, we have to recognize as belows; 1. The teaching and learning methods in home economics education need the creativity for formulating problems and finding the elements which effect on practical problems. 2. It is properly selected to some teaching and learning methods in home economics education, and many methods to improve creativity may be included the assumptions for self-realization and moral responsibility.

The purpose of this study was to identify the risk factors affecting home care patients 65 years of age and older with symptoms of depression. The author conducted this study for 80 depressed and non-depressed who were taking home care. Data was colleted from November 1996 to October 1997. The major findings of this study were as follows. Significant mean group differences were found on age and income in old home care patients with symptoms of depression, compared with non -depressed. Old home care patients who have less than 300,000won of income, smoking, exercise, unsatisfactory of home care, living in saparateness, rent, living alone, unbalanced diet, irregular diet were statistically significant risk factors by logistic regression. Old home care patients who do not exercise, less than 300,000won of income, unsatisfactory of home care, smoking, living alone were the risk factors by final logistic regression model predicting depression.

The Purpose of this study is to theoretically approach about Home-Based Business and develop a clear understanding of the relationship between family functioning and business viability in families who own and operate Home-Based Business. Home-Based Business is perceived as a viable income producing option for people who have lost their traditional income source and a mechanism for using of women’s lafor forces. Home-Based Work are changed in family structure and the allocation of work. Several authorities have suggested that Home-Based Business provides an effective way to balance the demands of paid employment and family responsibilities, particulary for women. All of these factors have contributed to an increase in the number of Home-Based Workers. Therefore, this proposed research reviewed the Home-Based Business as they contributed to individual and family well-being in both family and business settings and examined the Home-Based Business related factors which influencing the family life. Such understanding will be helpful in enhancing the stability and security of families who own and operate Home-Based Business.

Trying to give an overview of home informationization accelerated by the information age, the main purpose of this research is to suggest a guide for home Economics to adjust to the era. While the informatinization in home provides convenience and plays a major role to improve the quality of the life there are still many problems to be reflected on. First of all in order to utilize a variety of information devices it is needed that technical index related to home management such as home information device index and the expenditure on information is studied. Secondly, it is needed to predict possible home life style in the future and build up the ability to adjust to the change. Therefore, in the field of home economics, developing programs to offer the better chance of education on home life and culture, values, relationships, capability to enhance home life etc, is in urgent need of reflection.
