  • Given vectors x and y in a Hilbert space, an interpolating operator is a bounded operator T such that Tx = y. An interpolating operator for n vectors satisfies the equation $Tx_i\;=\;y_i,\;for\;i\;=\;1,\;2,\;\cdots,\;n$. In this paper the following is proved: Let H be a Hilbert space and L be a commutative subspace lattice on H. Let H and y be vectors in H. Let $M_x\;=\;\{{\sum{n}{i=1}}\;{\alpha}_iE_ix\;:\;n\;{\in}\;N,\;{\alpha}_i\;{\in}\;{\mathbb{C}}\;and\;E_i\;{\in}\;L\}\;and\;M_y\;=\;\{{\sum{n}{i=1}}\;{\alpha}_iE_iy\;:\;n\;{\in}\;N,\;{\alpha}_i\;{\in}\;{\mathbb{C}}\;and\;E_i\;{\in}\;L\}. Then the following are equivalent. (1) There exists an operator A in AlgL such that Ax = y, Af = 0 for all f in ${\overline{M_x}}^{\bot}$, AE = EA for all $E\;{\in}\;L\;and\;A^{*}\;=\;A$. (2) $sup\;\{\frac{{\parallel}{{\Sigma}_{i=1}}^{n}\;{\alpha}_iE_iy{\parallel}}{{\parallel}{{\Sigma}_{i=1}}^{n}\;{\alpha}_iE_iy{\parallel}}\;:\;n\;{\in}\;N,\;{\alpha}_i\;{\in}\;{\mathbb{C}}\;and\;E_i\;{\in}\;L\}\;<\;{\infty},\;{\overline{M_u}}\;{\subset}{\overline{M_x}}$ and < Ex, y >=< Ey, x > for all E in L.

An interpolating operator for n vectors satisfies the equation $Tx_i\;:\;y_i,\;for\;i\;=\;1,\;2,\;{\cdots},\;n$. In this article, we obtained the following : $Let\;x\;=\;\{x_i\}\;and\;y=\{y_\}$ be two vectors in a separable complex Hilbert space H such that $x_i\;\neq\;0$ for all $i\;=\;1,\;2;\cdots$. Let L be a commutative subspace lattice on H. Then the following statements are equivalent. (1) $sup\;\{\frac{\$\mid${\sum_{k=1}}^l\;\alpha_{\kappa}E_{\kappa}y\$\mid$}{\$\mid${\sum_{k=1}}^l\;\alpha_{\kappa}E_{\kappa}x\$\mid$}\;:\;l\;\in\;\mathbb{N},\;\alpha_{\kappa}\;\in\;\mathbb{C}\;and\;E_{\kappa}\;\in\;L\}\;<\;\infty\;and\;$\mid$y_n\$\mid$x_n$\mid$^{-1}\;=\;1\;for\;all\;n\;=\;1,\;2,\;\cdots$. (2) There exists an operator A in AlgL such that Ax = y, A is a unitary operator and every E in L reduces, A, where AlgL is a tridiagonal algebra.

  • Let C[0, T] denote the space of continuous, real-valued functions on the interval [0, T] and let C0[0, T] be the space of functions x in C[0, T] with x(0) = 0. In this paper, we introduce a Banach algebra ${\bar{\mathcal{S}}}_{{\alpha},{\beta};{\varphi}}$ on C[0, T] and its equivalent space ${\bar{\mathcal{F}}}({\mathcal{H}}) $, a space of transforms of equivalence classes of measures, which generalizes Fresnel class 𝓕(𝓗), where 𝓗 is an appropriate real separable Hilbert space of functions on [0, T]. We also investigate their properties and derive an isomorphism between ${\bar{\mathcal{S}}}_{{\alpha},{\beta};{\varphi}}$ and ${\bar{\mathcal{F}}}({\mathcal{H}}) $. When C[0, T] is replaced by C0[0, T], ${\bar{\mathcal{F}}}({\mathcal{H}}) $ and ${\bar{\mathcal{S}}}_{{\alpha},{\beta};{\varphi}}$ reduce to 𝓕(𝓗) and Cameron-Storvick's Banach algebra 𝓢, respectively, which is the space of generalized Fourier-Stieltjes transforms of the complex-valued, finite Borel measures on L2[0, T].

  • Let H be a separable, infinite dimensional, compled Hilbert space and let L(H) be the algebra of all bounded linear operators on H. A dual algebra is a subalgebra of L(H) that contains the identity operator $I_{H}$ and is closed in the ultraweak topology on L(H). Note that the ultraweak operator topology coincides with the wea $k^{*}$ topology on L(H)(see [3]). Bercovici-Foias-Pearcy [3] studied the problem of solving systems of simultaneous equations in the predual of a dual algebra. The theory of dual algebras has been applied to the topics of invariant subspaces, dilation theory and reflexibity (see [1],[2],[3],[5],[6]), and is deeply related with properties ( $A_{m,n}$). Jung-Lee-Lee [7] introduced n-separating sets for subalgebras and proved the relationship between n-separating sets and properties ( $A_{m,n}$). In this paper we will study the relationship between direct sum and properties ( $A_{m,n}$). In particular, using some results of [7] we obtain relationship between n-separating sets and direct sum of von Neumann algebras.ras.s.ras.

  • We define the spherical non-commutative torus $L_{\omega}$/ as the crossed product obtained by an iteration of l crossed products by actions of, the first action on C( $S^{2n+l}$). Assume the fibres are isomorphic to the tensor product of a completely irrational non-commutative torus $A_{p}$ with a matrix algebra $M_{m}$ ( ) (m > 1). We prove that $L_{\omega}$/ $M_{p}$ (C) is not isomorphic to C(Prim( $L_{\omega}$/)) $A_{p}$ $M_{mp}$ (C), and that the tensor product of $L_{\omega}$/ with a UHF-algebra $M_{p{\infty}}$ of type $p^{\infty}$ is isomorphic to C(Prim( $L_{\omega}$/)) $A_{p}$ $M_{m}$ (C) $M_{p{\infty}}$ if and only if the set of prime factors of m is a subset of the set of prime factors of p. Furthermore, it is shown that the tensor product of $L_{\omega}$/, with the C*-algebra K(H) of compact operators on a separable Hilbert space H is not isomorphic to C(Prim( $L_{\omega}$/)) $A_{p}$ $M_{m}$ (C) K(H) if Prim( $L_{\omega}$/) is homeomorphic to $L^{k}$ (n)$\times$ $T^{l'}$ for k and l' non-negative integers (k > 1), where $L^{k}$ (n) is the lens space.$T^{l'}$ for k and l' non-negative integers (k > 1), where $L^{k}$ (n) is the lens space.e.

  • Let $\mathcal{B}(H)$ and $\mathcal{B}(K)$ denote the algebras of all bounded linear operators on Hilbert spaces $\mathcal{H}$ and $\mathcal{K}$, respectively. We show that if ${\phi}:\mathcal{B}(H){\rightarrow}\mathcal{B}(K)$ is an additive mapping satisfying ${\phi}({\mid}A{\mid}^2)={\mid}{\phi}(A){\mid}^2$ for every $A{\in}\mathcal{B}(H)$, then there exists a mapping ${\psi}$ defined by ${\psi}(A)={\phi}(I){\phi}(A)$, ${\forall}A{\in}\mathcal{B}(H)$ such that ${\psi}$ is the sum of $two^*$-homomorphisms one of which C-linear and the othere C-antilinear. We will also study some conditions implying the injective and rank-preserving of ${\psi}$.

  • Let H be a separable complex Hilbert space and L(H) be the *-algebra of all bounded linear operators on H. For $T \in L(H)$, we construct a pair of semi-positive definite operators $$ $\mid$T$\mid$_r = (T^*T)^{\frac{1}{2}} and $\mid$T$\mid$_l = (TT^*)^{\frac{1}{2}}. $$ An operator T is called a semi-hyponormal operator if $$ Q_T = $\mid$T$\mid$_r - $\mid$T$\mid$_l \geq 0. $$ In this paper, by using a technique introduced by Berberian [1], we show that the approximate point spectrum $\sigma_{ap}(T)$ of a semi-hyponomal operator T is empty.

Let H be a complex separable Hilbert space and let B(H) denote the algebra of bounded linear operators. • Kang and Ko introduced a skew-symmetrizable matrix to describe a structure theorem for complete intersections of grade 4. Let $R=k[w_0,\;w_1,\;w_2,\;{\ldots},\;w_m]$ be the polynomial ring over an algebraically closed field k with indetermiantes $w_l$ and deg $w_l=1$, and $I_i$ a homogeneous perfect ideal of grade 3 with type $t_i$ defined by a skew-symmetrizable matrix $G_i(1{\leq}t_i{\leq}4)$. We show that for m = 2 the Hilbert function of the zero dimensional standard k-algebra $R/I_i$ is determined by CI-sequences and a Gorenstein sequence. As an application of this result we show that for i = 1, 2, 3 and for m = 3 a Gorenstein sequence $h(R/H_i)=(1,\;4,\;h_2,\;{\ldots},\;h_s)$ is unimodal, where $H_i$ is the sum of homogeneous perfect ideals $I_i$ and $J_i$ which are geometrically linked by a homogeneous regular sequence z in $I_i{\cap}J_i$.

  • let E be a Finsler modules over $C^*$-algebras. A with norm-map $\rho$ and L(E) set of all A-linear bonded operators on E. We show that the canonical homomorphism ${\phi}:L(E){\rightarrow}L(E_I)$ sending each operator T to its restriction $T|E_I$ is injective if and only if I is an essential ideal in the underlying $C^*$-algebra A. We also show that $T{\in}L(E)$ is a bounded below if and only if ${\mid}{\mid}x{\mid}{\mid}={\mid}{\mid}{\rho}{\prime}(x){\mid}{\mid}$ is complete, where ${\rho}{\prime}(x)={\rho}(Tx)$ for all $x{\in}E$. Also, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for the equivalence of the norms generated by the norm map.
