Purpose - This study explored factors of online education that affect student dissatisfaction and learning effectiveness in higher education during the COVID-19 pandemic. Research design, data, and methodology - This study combined qualitative and quantitative designs. The qualitative part of this study involved in-depth interviews using a criteria-based purposive sampling technique. The quantitative part of this study consisted of an online survey. Results - The qualitative results revealed that students faced significant problems related to online learning, including a lack of learning environment, interaction, and support from the school. The quantitative results indicated that the effects of transitioned-online courses on student dissatisfaction were higher with student support, the interaction between students and instructors, online learning environment, and course organization and evaluation based on the order, while the effects on learning effectiveness were higher with the online learning environment, interaction between students and instructors, course organization and evaluation, and student support based on the order. Conclusion - The results implied that online learning in the era of the COVID 19 pandemic negatively affects student satisfaction and learning effectiveness. Policymakers and school leaders should improve students' satisfaction and learning effectiveness when confronted with the pandemic. Better policies should be adopted to improve better way of teaching in the era of COVID19.
The purpose of this study supports the establishment of national e-learning policy by analyzing e-learning status and current status of higher education. Enhance the competitiveness of higher education through sharing information between universities. And to improve e-learning quality management. We surveyed the current status of e-learning in 341 universities and questionnaires about e-learning content, e-learning application form, e-learning platform status was surveyed through each school's learning management system. As a result, the infrastructure of e-learning, the rate of platforms secured, and the contents are increasing gradually each year; however, still, not all students can receive the services equally. Dedicated servers and learning management systems were secured by more than 70% of general universities. In the current development status of e-learning content, multimedia, animation, and text forms are gradually decreasing, but video contents are increasing every year. Most of the online contents were used in the e-learning contents by application type, and blended learning, flipped learning, and mooc is not yet actively used since they are still in the beginning stage. Learning analysis techniques should be supported in order to easily use online learning contents such as flipped learning and mooc. We suggest that the effectiveness of e-learning should be measured and the current state of learning analysis for customized learning should be done. This study aims to contribute to the improvement of competitiveness of higher education by sharing information about e-learning among universities as a basis for improvement of e-learning policy. Future tasks are to improve the customized learning environment by adding whether the system environment for learning analysis is provided at the time of the survey.

Electronic educational environments in the conditions of quarantine restrictions of COVID-19 have become a common phenomenon for the organization of distance educational activities. Under the conditions of Russian aggression, Ukrainian proof of their use is unique. The purpose of the article is to analyze the role of electronic educational environments in the process of training applicants for higher education in Ukraine in the realities of a large-scale war. General scientific methods (analysis, synthesis, deduction, and induction) and special pedagogical prognostic methods, modeling, and SWOT analysis methods were used. In the results, the general properties of the Internet educational platforms common in Ukraine, the peculiarities of using the Moodle and Prometheus platforms, and an approximate model of the electronic learning environment were discussed. The reasons for the popularity of Moodle among Ukrainian universities are analyzed, but vulnerable elements related to security are emphasized. It was also determined that the high cost of Prometheus software and less functionality made this learning environment less relevant. The conclusions state that the military actions drew the attention of universities in Ukraine to the formation of their own educational platforms. This is especially relevant for technical and military institutions of higher education.

This study analyzes the public lecture conducted by a university in Seoul and examined how a public lecture on the emergence of a new media environment could influence the actual field of engineering education. The current public lecture is changing away from past patterns which have been conducted on a daily, irregular and offline basis. Online lectures such as Mooc programs, as well as broadcast programs in the Internet media environment, are becoming increasingly popular with mainstream education. This study focuses on exploring how public lecture experiences of engineering professors have affected the improvement of learner centered education and their communication skills. It also examines how public lecture in the field can affect to enhance public understanding of engineering. The advent of a new media environment is likely to inject new vitality into a college lecture that seems to fall behind in the past. It is highly likely that the reliance on the teaching capabilities of professors become higher according to the emphasis on active learning environment. The genre of public lecture is expected to greatly helpful to expand future engineering education methodologies.

This study randomly targeted 428 adult consumers in Seoul (219) and Beijing (209) to grasp the demand of customer education and a purchasing intention for fair trade products. The results of this study are as follows. First, participants showed a low cognition of fair trade and purchase intention, while consumer demand for fair trade education on concept, campaign and effect had a comparatively higher level. Chinese consumers showed a higher level of purchase intention, but a lower level of consumer education demand for fair trade concepts. Second, a higher education level resulted in a higher cognition of fair trade by Korean consumers and more experienced Chinese consumers had a higher cognition. Third, the cognition of fair trade affected the purchase intentions positively for both in Korean and Chinese consumers. This study is aimed to suggest a direction for the general environment education through analyzing current environment education curriculums and survey of educational needs for students in Korean universities. Since the result of this survey shows that most university students lack experience in environmental education in their secondary education, the basic educational programs as well as advanced educational programs should be included to develop a general environmental education curriculum for university students. So far, general environmental education for university students has not witnessed a clear and distinct object and direction. Since we live in a situation where environmental problems should be considered in every aspect of our society, the general environmental education curriculum for university students shall play a role to solve these problems. Additionally, we need to change the way of environment education from educating and raising the environment professionals to educating and raising people who comprehensively understand economy, society and environment under the sustainable development paradigm. Also the focus of environmental education should swift from natural science to over all perspectives. Recently, the need of interdisciplinary curriculum for the environment education field has been discussed in universities. However, it has not been integrated into the normal curriculum. In this regard, systemic improvement which enables general education curriculum to operate flexibly will be followed. The key to establish an interdisciplinary curriculum is a flexible educational curriculum system which can solve problems arising from departmental curriculums, and promptly respond to the demand of educational and social consumers. Additionally, the result of survey shows that students want diverse educational operations and teaching methods, equipping educational assistance system for these needs will be required.
