2009 오키나와 Deep Mixing 심포지엄 및 공동연구 (International Symposium and Collaborative Study on Deep Cement Mixing, Okinawa 2009)

  • Quality Assurance of Deep Mixing to fulfill the requirements of geotechnical design cannot be achieved only by the process control During production conducted by the deep mixing contractor but it should involve relevant activities that are carried out prior to, during and after the construction by all the parties involved in a deep mixing project. The requirement is different for different application, and hence, QA/QC method/procedure and verification technique may be different for different application. In order to maintain the high quality of deep mixing work in the global market, it is necessary to conduct a research project, such as investigation of illustrations, the variety of existing QA/QC methods/procedures, the correlation between the outcomes of different QA/QC methods. In these reason, it has been held the international meeting to discuss them, in that kind of activities in 2009 it will be held Symposium. Also Collaborative study for QA/QC is on goin, and conduction by all participated members. The subject for collaborative study are, task 1 : investigation of laboratory tests procedures, task 2 : comparing of different laboratory tests procedures, task 3 : QA/QC method/procedures, task 4 : integrated Task1 ~task 3. The discussion of the results in all task will be held in the Symposium separately. In this paper, it was presented four tasks. Also the results in task 1 and 2 conducting domestically until now, such as investigation of laboratory test procedures, effect on the unconfined compressive strength by aging temperature and by delayed time.

撒水濾床法에 依한 畜産廢水의 處理效果에 관한 연구 (Efficiency of Livestock Farming Wastewater Treatment by Trickling Filters)

  • The objectives of this study is to examine efficiency of swinery wastewater treatment by trickling filters' pilot plant. The results of this study are as follows: 1. The characteristics of sample. The BOD$_5$ was from 2,450 to 2,880mg/l, COD(KMnO$_4$ acid method) was from 910 to 1,064mg/l, and SS was from 920 to 990mg/l. The pH of influent was from 7.3 to 7.6, and the temperature of water was from 17.0$\circ$C to 22.5$\circ$C. 2. For experiment by recirculation, the BODs removal efficiency is 65.2% at recirculation ratio (r)=0, and 70.7% at r=1. The ramoval efficiency of this study is higher than NRC formula of U.S.A.. The recirculation is not significant effect on removal efficiency. 3. For experiment by hydraulic load, the BOD$_5$ removal rate decreased from 73.1% at $3.1m^3/m^2\cdot d$ to 65.3% at $9.2m^3/m^2\cdot d$. The design formula of this study which shows the removal rate of soluble BOD is $Le/Li =10^{-0.24} D/Q^{0.24}$ (Q: hydraulic load, D: depth of filter). 4. For experiment by organic load, the BOD$_5$ removal rate is increased from 70.2% at $0.77kg/m^3\cdot d$ to 75.4% at $4.28kg/m^3\cdot d$. We can obtain the straight line y=0.749 x (y: removed BOD, x :applied BOD) by the least squares method. 5. We can know that trickling filters is strong with the hydraulic load and the organic matter shock load. Here, we can judge that trickling filters is a good method for the treatment of swinery wastewater which containing high concentrated organic matter.

  • KIER has been developing a Ru-based preferential oxidation catalysts and a novel fuel processing system to provide hydrogen rich gas to residential PEMFCs system. The catalytic activity of Ru-based catalysts was investigated at different Ru loading amount and different support structure. The obtained result indicated that 2 wt% loaded Ru-based catalyst supported on ${\alpha}-Al_2O_3$ showed high activity in low temperature range and suppressed the methanation reaction. The developed prototype fuel processor showed thermal efficiency of 78% as a HHV basis with methane conversion of 92%. CO concentration below 10 ppm in the produced gas is achieved with separate preferential oxidation unit under the condition of $[O_2]/[CO]=2.0$. The partial load operation have been carried out to test the performance of fuel processor from 40% to 80% load, showing stable methane conversion and CO concentration below 10 ppm. The durability test for the daily start-stop and 8 h operation procedure is under investigation and shows no deterioration of its performance after 50 start-stop cycles. 고로슬래그 혼입 콘크리트의 고온 조건에서의 열역학 성능 (Thermal Characteristics of Concrete Fabricated with Blast Furnace Slag Subjected to Thermal Cycling Condition)

  • 이 연구에서는 고온의 태양열 에너지를 저장하기 위한 고로슬래그 콘크리트의 열역학적 특성을 파악하였다. 고로슬래그 콘크리트의 열역학적 특성에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위한 실험연구를 수행하였다. 실험변수로써 고로슬래그 함유량과 물-바인더 비를 고려하였다. 고로슬래그 콘크리트의 역학적 특성으로써 열사이클 전과 후의 압축강도 및 인장강도를 측정하고, 열적 특성으로써 열전도율과 비열을 측정하였다. 고로슬래그를 포함한 콘크리트의 열싸이클 적용 후의 잔류압축강도가 고로슬래그를 포함하지 않은 콘크리트의 잔류압축강도보다 크다. 또한, 고로슬래그를 혼입한 콘크리트의 열전도율이 고로슬래그를 포함하지 않은 콘크리트의 열전도율보다 더욱 크다. 이는 고로슬래그 콘크리트가 열에너지의 축열과 방열에 효과적인 것을 나타낸다. 실험연구 결과는 콘크리트 열저장 축열 모듈 설계에 효율적으로 활용될 수 있다.

원자로 제어봉과 결합된 하이브리드 히트파이프의 CFD 해석 (CFD Analysis of a Concept of Nuclear Hybrid Heat Pipe with Control Rod)

  • After the Fukushima accident in 2011, it was revealed that nuclear power plant has the vulnerability to SBO accident and its extension situation without sufficient cooling of reactor core resulting core meltdown and radioactive material release even after reactor shutdown. Many safety systems had been developed like PAFS, hybrid SIT, and relocation of RPV and IRWST as a part of steps for the Fukushima accident, however, their applications have limitation in the situation that supply of feedwater into reactor is impossible due to high pressure inside reactor pressure vessel. The concept of hybrid heat pipe with control rod is introduced for breaking through the limitation. Hybrid heat pipe with control rod is the passive decay heat removal system in core, which has the abilities of reactor shutdown as control rod as well as decay heat removal as heat pipe. For evaluating the cooling performance hybrid heat pipe, a commercial CFD code, ANSYS-CFX was used. First, for validating CFD results, numerical results and experimental results with same geometry and fluid conditions were compared to a tube type heat pipe resulting in a resonable agreement between them. After that, wall temperature and thermal resistances of 2 design concepts of hybrid heat pipe were analyzed about various heat inputs. For unit length, hybrid heat pipe with a tube type of $B_4C$ pellet has a decreasing tendency of thermal resistance, on the other hand, hybrid heat pipe with an annular type $B_4C$ pellet has an increasing tendency as heat input increases.

  • Service conditions for structures at elevated temperatures in nuclear power plant involve transient thermal and mechanical load levels that are severe enough to caeuse inelastic deformations due to creep and plasticity. Therefore, a systematic mehtod of inelastic analysis is needed for the design of structural components in nuclear poser plants subjected to such loading conditions. In the present investigation, the Chabodhe model, one of the unified viscoplastic constitutive equations, was selected for systematic inelastic analysis. The material response was integrated based on GMR ( generallized mid-point rule) time integral scheme and provided to ABAQUS as a material subroutine, UMAT program. By comparing results obtaned from uniaxial analysis using the developed UMAT program with those from Runge-Kutta solutions and experimentaiton, the validity of the adopted Chaboche model and the numerical stability and accuracy of the developed UMAT program were verified. In addition, the developed material subroutine was applied for uniaxial creep and tension analyses for the plate with a hole in the center. The application further demonstrates usefulness of the developed program.

바이오센서 계측 결과를 이용한 식혜제조의 최적화 (Optimization of Sikhe Processing using the Obtained Data by Biosensor)

  • 식혜 제조시 당화에 영향을 미치는 인자인 엿기름 추출온도와 시간, 엿기름과 물의 비율, 밥의 양을 반응표면분석법의 중심합성계획에 따라 설계하여 각각 조건들의 영향을 dual cathod system으로 구성된 바이오센서로 행하였을 때 포도당과 맥아당의 측정은 엿기름 추출온도 및 각각의 조건들은 포도당과 맥아당의 최적조건이 약간은 다른 결과를 보였는데 포도당에서는 $60^{\circ}C$, 맥아당은 $55^{\circ}C$에서 최적의 온도를 나타내었고 엿기름 추출시간은 포도당이 6시간 30분, 맥아당은 5시간 45분이었으며 물과 엿기름의 비율은 포도당과 맥아당 각각 1:6.3, 1:8.8이었고 엿기름 추출액과 고두밥의 양에서는 0.48%는 포도당, 0.6%는 맥아당이 최적조건이었다. 반응표면분석법에 의하여 유의차를 검증한 결과 그 상관관계를 비교했을 때 유의성이 높게 나타났다.

마찰스프링의 주퇴복좌장치 적용성 연구 (Application Study of Recoil Mechanism using Friction Springs)

  • The conventional medium and large caliber gun, in general, utilize the hydro-pneumatic recoil mechanism to control the firing impulse and to return to the battery position. However, this kind of mechanism may cause the problems like the leakages and the property changes in oil and gas due to the temperature variations between low and high temperatures. Accordingly, the friction spring mechanism has recently been researched as an alternative system. The friction spring mechanism consists of a set of closed inner and outer rings with the concentric tapered contact surfaces assembled in the columnar form, and can only be used under the compression load. When the spring column is axially loaded, the tapered surfaces become overlapped, causing the outer rings to expand while the inner rings are being contracted in diameter allowing an axial displacement. Because of friction between tapered contact surfaces, much higher spring stiffness is obtained on the stroke at the increase in load than the stroke at the decrease. In this paper, the dynamic equations regarding the friction spring system and the design approach have been investigated. It is also tried for a dynamic model representing the recoil motion and the friction spring forces. And the model has been proved from firing test using a gun system with friction springs. All the results show that the recoil mechanism using friction springs can substitute for the classic hydro-pneumatic recoil system.

마이크로 피라미드 패턴 응용 도광판 제작을 위한 니켈 스탬퍼 제작에 관한 연구 (Fabrication of Ni Stamper based on Micro-Pyramid Structures for High Uniformity Light Guide Panel (LGP))

  • Pyramid shape of micro pattern is applied to the light guide panel (LGP) to enhance the uniformity of the brightness of the LCD. The micro pyramids are molded in intaglio on the surface of the LGP. The size of each pyramid is 5$\mu$m $\times$ 5$\mu$m on bottom and the height is about 3.5$\mu$m. The pyramids are distributed on the LGP surface randomly to be sparser where the light comes in and denser at the opposite side as a result of a simulation using lightools$^{TM}$ Based on this design, a silicon pattern master and a nickel stamper are fabricated by MEMS process and electro plating process. Intaglio micro pyramids are fabricated on the 6' of silicon wafer from the anisotropic etching using KOH and the process time, temperature of the KOH solution, etc are optimized to obtain precise shape of the pattern. A Wi stamper is fabricated from this pattern master by electro plating process and the embossed pyramid patterns turns out to be well defined on the stamper. Adopting this stamper to the mold base with two cavities, 1.8' and 3.6' LGPs are injection molded.

3D MEMS 소자에 적합한 열적 응력을 고려한 수직 접속 구조의 설계 (A design of silicon based vertical interconnect for 3D MEMS devices under the consideration of thermal stress)

  • 3D MEMS 소자 또는 적층형 패키지에 응용하기 위해서 실리콘 관통 비아를 이용한 새로운 수직 접속 방법을 제안하고 그 실효성을 증명하기 위해 제작하였다. 제안된 실리콘 관통 비아는 기존의 관통 비아에서 도전 물질로 사용되던 구리대신 실리콘을 적용하였다. 그 결과 열팽창 계수 차이에 의한 열응력 줄일 수 있어 높은 온도에서 이루어지는 MEMS 공정과 병행 가능하게 되었다. $30{\mu}m$ 두께의 실리콘 기판 2층이 적층되었으며 $40{\mu}m$$50{\mu}m$의 간격을 가지는 관통 비아 배열을 제작하였다. 관통 비아의 전기적 특성을 측정하고 분석하였다. 측정된 저항 값은 $169.9\Omega$이었다.
