Neural Network-Based System Identification and Controller Synthesis for an Industrial Sewing Machine

  • The purpose of this paper is to obtain an accurate nonlinear system model to test various control schemes for a motion control system that requires high speed, robustness and accuracy. An industrial sewing machine equipped with a Brushless DC motor is considered. It is modeled by a neural network that is configured as an output-error dynamical system. The identified model is essentially a one step ahead prediction structure in which past inputs and outputs are used to calculate the current output. Using the model, a 2 degree-of-freedom PID controller to compensate the effects of disturbance without degrading tracking performance has been de-signed. In this experiment, it is not preferable for safety reasons to tune the controller online on the actual machinery. Experimental results confirm that the model is a good approximation of sewing machine dynamics and that the proposed control methodology is effective.

  • A new RMRAC scheme far the PMSM current regulation is proposed in a synchronous frame, which is completely free from the parameter's uncertainty. A current regulator of PMSM is the inner most loop of electromechanical driving systems and plays a foundation role in the control hierarchy. When the PMSM runs in high speed, the cross-coupling terms must be compensated precisely for large system BW. In the proposed RMRAC, the input signal is composed of a calculated voltage defined by MRAC law and an output of the disturbance compensator. The gains of feed forward and feedback controller are estimated by the proposed modified gradient method, where the system disturbances are assumed as filtered current regulation errors. After the compensation of the system disturbance from error information, the corresponding voltage is fed forward to control input to compensate for real disturbances. The proposed method robustly compensates the system disturbance and cross-coupling terms. It also shows a good realtime performance due to the simplicity of control structure. Through real experiments, the efficiency of the proposed method is verified.

  • This paper deals with the experimental study of the vibration suppression of the smart structures. First, a new high-speed active control system is presented using the DSP320C6713 microprocessor. A peripheral system developed is composed of a data acquisition system, A/D and D/A converters, piezoelectric (PZT) actuator/sensors, and drivers using PA 95 for fast data processing. Next, the processing time of the peripheral device is tested and the corresponding test results are provided. Since fast data processing is very important in the active vibration control of the structures, achieving the fast loop times of the control system is focused. The control algorithm using PPF in addition to FIR filter is implemented. Finally, numerous experiments were carried out on the aluminum plate to validate the superior performance of the vibration control system at different control loop times.

  • 이 논문은 새로운 개념의 엔진으로 균질혼합압축점화기관(HCCI)에 대해서 이야기 하고 있다. HCCI 엔진은 디젤기관과 가솔린기관의 미래대체엔진으로 고려되고 있다. HCCI엔진은 부분부하에서 높은 지시열효율과 매우 낮은 질소산화물을 배출하는 잠재력 있는 엔진이다.이 논문의 목적은HCCI 엔진에서 의 배기가스재순환(EGR)의 효과를 분명히 하는데 있다. 이러한 연구목적을 위해서 4실린더 압축점화기관이 HCCI 기관으로 개조가 되었다.이 작업은 일정한 회전속도에서 프로판과 부탄의 연료를 사용하였다.

  • AISI 316 steel has been used extensively for heater and boiler tube of the structural plants such as power, chemical and petroleum plants under severe operating conditions. Usually, material degradation due to microcrack or precipitation of carbides and segregation of impurity elements, is occured by damage accumulated for long-term service at high temperature in this material. In this study, the effect of aging time on fracture toughness was investigated to evaluate the measurement of material degradation. The elastic-plastic fracture toughness behaviour of AISI 316 steel pipe aged at $550^{\circ}C$for 1h-10000h (the aged material) was characterized using the single specimen J-R curve technique and eletric potential drop method at normal loading rate(load-line displacement speed of 0.2mm/min) in room temperature and air environment. The fracture toughness data from above experiments is compared with the $J_{in}$ obtained from predicted values of crack initiation point using potential drop method.

  • 냉동 냉장창고용 냉수펌프 시스템을 태양광발전 시스템과 연계하여 펌프의 양정 및 유량의 변화에 따른 압력의 변화에도 불구하고 목표치 압력을 일정하게 제어할 수 있도록 하였다. BLDC 모터를 벡터제어 함으로써 각 운전속도의 영역에서 최대토크 운전 및 높은 신뢰성을 가능하도록 하여 냉동 냉장창고용 냉수 펌프 시스템의 에너지 절감 효과를 실현하였다.

  • PERISTOR-3000 loaded with 32 bit DSP(Digital Signal Processor) is a technically advanced versatile dc motor controller in applications with very high requirements for rapid response, control accuracy and reliability. The current controller of PERISTOR-3000 is of the predictive type and gives fast control with both discontinuous and continuous current compared to the conventional PI current control. The speed controller gain is compensated to improve response behavior. PERISTOR-3000 communicates with its host computer, POSTAR-3200, or any IBM or compatible PC and can be controlled. Dedicated monitoring system for MMI is introduced.

  • In this study we deal with design procedures for the flywheel energy storage system that has the capacity to store the regenerative energy produced from the railway vehicles. The flywheel energy storage system (FESS) stores the regenerative electrical energy into the high speed rotational flywheel, by conversion the electrical energy into the mechanical rotational energy. Thus the FESS is composed of the energy conversion components, such as the motor and generator, mechanical support components, such as the rotational rotor, the magnetic bearings to support the rotor, and the digital controller to control the air gap between the rotor and the magnetic bearings. In this paper the design procedures for the rotor operating at the rigid mode and the magnetic bearings to support the rotational rotor without contact are presented.

  • 본 논문에서는 공기제동의 문제점을 보완하기 위한 유지보수와 환경문제, 효율성, 경제성 등을 개선하기 위하여 정지에서 고속영역까지의 전 영역에서 전기제동을 사용하는 방법이 제시되었다. 전기적으로 완전제동을 위한 2가지 방법으로 인버터 출력전압의 증대에 의한 방법과 전동기와 인버터 사이에 직렬저항을 삽입하는 방법을 통하여 경제적이며 실제 적용이 가능한 제어방법인 직렬저항을 삽입하는 방법을 적용하기로 하였다. 직렬저항에 의한 전력손실을 감소시키기 위한 직렬저항을 단락 하는 방법을 사용하여 효율을 개선하고 전 영역에서의 제동력확보는 실험환경 내에서 우수한 인버터의 단자전압을 상승시키는 방법과 동일한 특성을 보였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 가변속 교류 전동기 구동에 많이 사용되는 3상 ac/dc/ac PWM 컨버터 시스템에서의 직류링크 리플전류를 주파수 영역에서 해석하고자 한다. 고조파 전류는 컨버터의 스위칭함수와 지수함수 형태의 퓨리에 급수 전개를 이용하여 분석된다. 전원측 컨버터와 부하측 인버터의 스위칭 주기간의 변위각과 비동기 PW이 리플전류에 미치는 영향도 고찰된다. 해석 결과가 PSIM을 이용한 시뮬레이션으로부터 나온 고조파 스펙트럼과 잘 일치함을 확인한다 제시된 해석기법은 PWM의 원리에 대한 이해를 돕고, 해석 결과는 직류링크 커패시터의 고주파 등가 모델링에 이용된다.
