성별에 따른 성인의 사회적 지지와 우울에 관한 연구 (A Study on Social Support and Depression by Gender among Adults)

  • Purpose: This study was to compare social support and depression by gender, to investigate related factors, and to inquire effect of social support on depression by gender. Methods: This study analyzed raw data from a project funded by Jeju Province. The data were collected through home visit interview from 750 households which were selected by using randomized cluster sampling method. CES-D and MOS SSS were used for measuring depression and social support. Data obtained from 896 adults were analyzed using t-test, $x^2$ test and hierarchical regression. Results: There was no significant difference of depression prevalence, presenting 15.2% for men and 14.5% for women. The related factors were marital status, educational level, and socioeconomic status for men and only socioeconomic status for women. The result of hierarchical regression presented that social support was significant on depression, showing increase of $R^2$ from .151 to .328 when adding social support to other variables for men, increase of $R^2$ from .058 to .192 for women. Conclusion: The social support was an influential factor on depression both men and women, the development of strategies considering risk population by gender for enhancing social support to prevent and to manage depression was suggested.

거주형태가 노인의 생활만족도와 우울감에 미치는 영향 (Life Satisfaction and Depression according to Living Arrangement in Elderly)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the living arrangement, life satisfaction and depression in the elderly. Method: The subjects consisted of 371 elderly who has at least one adult child classifying two groups(living with children and not living with children). The data were collected by a structured questionnaire that included general characteristics, Geriatric Leisure Activity Scale, Geriatric Life Satisfaction Scale, Geriatric Depression Scale, from March to December, 2004. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS program including descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2-test$, t-test, Pearson Correlation Coefficient and Hierarchical Regression. Result: In hierarchical regression, the elders who live with their children showed more life satisfaction than elders who lived by themselves. However, living arrangement showed no effect on the level of depression of the elderly parents. Significant leisure activity interaction effect was found on the depression among the elderly: The elderly with no leisure activity reported lower levels of depression when they lived with their adult child. Conclusion: It is necessary to explore further the various relationship among living arrangement and life satisfaction of the elderly, their preferences and expectations regarding inter-generational obligations and living arrangements.

의료기관의 사회적 책임활동에 대한 종사자의 수용태도에 관한 연구 (A study on the hospital employee's attitude towards CSR)

  • The researches on corporate social responsibility(CSR) focused mostly on its effects on financial performance or consumer's behavior. However relatively few studies have dealt with employee's attitude towards CSR. The purpose of this study is to analyze determinants of hospital employee's attitude towards CSR. The data were collected from 163 employees at a general hospital in Gyeonggi-do from June 18 to July 18 in 2012. For the statistical analysis of data, t-test, ANOVA, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis were implemented. The result of hierarchical multiple regression analysis shows that first, perceived management support and direct benefits were positively related to the attitude towards the acceptance of CSR while interruption of work was negatively related. Second, as interruption of work was controlled, the statistically significant relationship between clinical department and attitude towards the acceptance of CSR was disappeared. In order to accommodate CSR in hospitals, first, the enterprise-wide support is more effective rather than expecting the action of each employee. Second, hospitals should provide the education about CSR to let employees expect direct benefits such as improving of their moral sense. Third, the burden of work causing interruption needs to be managed to cause employees to accept CSR.

기초생활수급자의 문제음주정도에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Affecting the Problem Drinking of Public Aid Recipients)

  • 본 연구는 기초생활수급자의 문제음주정도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하고자 실시하였다. 연구대상은 D와 G광역시에 거주하고 있는 기초생활수급자 195명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 기초생활수급자의 1/3정도가 문제음주, 알코올남용 및 의존에 해당하는 것으로 나타나 음주문제가 상당히 심각한 것으로 나타났다. 문제음주정도에 영향을 미친 변인을 위계적회귀분석(hierarchical regression analysis)으로 실시한 결과 19세 미만 첫음주, 자아존중감, 종교, 우울, 성별이 유의한 것으로 나타나 향후 이들 변인들을 고려해서 음주관련 프로그램을 개발하는 것이 필요한 것으로 나타났다.

치과기공사의 조직 내 갈등 및 직무 만족이 이직 의도에 미치는 영향 (The influences of organizational conflict and job satisfaction on the turnover intention of dental technicians)

  • Purpose: This study aimed at exploring the impacts of organizational conflict and job satisfaction on the turnover intention among dental technicians. Methods: This study utilized a descriptive research design. A structured questionnaire was administered to 159 dental technicians. Of the collected questionnaires, data from 127 valid questionnaires were analyzed using t-tests, analysis of variance, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and hierarchical multiple regression using the IBM SPSS 20.0 statistical package. Results: A positive correlation was identified between organizational conflict and turnover intention (r=0.46, p<0.001); however, a negative correlation was shown between job satisfaction and turnover intention (r=-0.50, p<0.001). A hierarchical multiple-regression model was employed to analyze working hours, unfair treatment from dentists and dental hygienists, organizational conflict, and job satisfaction, which contributed to providing an explanation to 39% of the turnover intention of dental technicians (F=14.16, p<0.001). Furthermore, organizational conflict (β=0.32, p<0.001), job satisfaction (β=-0.31, p=0.003), and working hours (β=0.21, p=0.010) were all shown to affect turnover intention. Conclusion: The impact of the negative consequences of organizational conflict and working hours on the turnover intention should be considered within core strategies for increasing the turnover periods for dental technicians.

청년층의 경제적 합리성으로 본 희망자녀수와 출산시기 : '저출산트랩'가설을 중심으로 (Testing the Economic Rationality Hypothesis of the Low Fertility Trap Among Korean Youths)

  • The purpose of this study is to test the economic rationality hypothesis of the low fertility trap among 412 college students at 13 private universities located in Seoul. The respondents were requested to complete the self-administered questionnaire, and the hierarchical multiple regression analyses were performed for analyzing the data. The major findings of this study were as follows: First, the students' views on the prospects for their future employability were 54.6% for big business, 64.51% for medium-sized business, and 49.63% for public sector. In the most employable job, the mean desired monthly salary was 3,505,400 won, while the mean expected monthly salary 2,753,600 won. Second, hierarchical regression analyses revealed that the family income in parental home was positively related to youths' consumption aspirations. Finally, the gap between youths' consumption aspirations and their expected income was negatively related to their desired number of children, while not significantly related to their planned age of first child birth. Thus, the low fertility trap hypothesis was supported in terms of birth rate drop, but not supported in terms of childbearing postponement. The implications of the study results are discussed.

가상환경상의 인간공학적 제품설계를 위한 인체모델군 생성기법 개발 및 적용 (Development and Application of a Generation Method of Human Models for Ergonomic Product Design in Virtual Environment)

  • A group of digital human models with various sizes which properly represents a population under consideration is needed in the design process of an ergonomic product in virtual environment. The present study proposes a two-step method which produces a representative group of human models in terms of stature and weight. The proposed method first generates a designated number of pairs of stature and weight within an accommodation range from the bivariate normal distribution of stature and weight of the target population. Then, from each pair of stature and weight, the method determines the sizes of body segments by using 'hierarchical' regression models and corresponding prediction distributions of individual values. The suggested method was applied to the 1988 US Army anthropometric survey data and implemented to a web-based system which generates a representative group of human models for the following parameters: nationality, gender, accommodation percentage, and number of human models.

함정 근무 장병의 신체활동 관련 요인: 생태학적 접근 (Correlates of Physical Activity among Korean Navy Personnel: An Ecological Approach)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to measure the relationships between ecological factors and Navy personnel's physical activity (PA) based on McLeroy's Ecological model. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted with a convenience sample of 184 Navy personnel working in 10 Navyships. A self-reporting questionnaire consisted of measures of intrapersonal, interpersonal, organizational and community factors related to Navy personnel` s PA. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, $x^2$-test, t-test, analysis of variance, and hierarchical multiple regression using SPSS/WIN 17.0 programs. Results: Their mean PA level was $2,848.1{\pm}3,344.5$ MET-min/week, and mostly moderate level (50.5%). Hierarchical multiple regression analysis showed that religion, working department, working type, perceived health status and community environment were significant PA correlates. Conclusion: Community environmental factors as well as intrapersonal factors were significantly associated with Navy personnel's PA, indicating that community health nurses should expand an approach for individual-level behavioral change to incorporate Navy personnel specific community environmental barriers into PA interventions.

농촌 치유관광 참여자의 관여도 영향요인 분석 (Factors Influencing Involvement of Rural Healing Tourism Participants)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the factors influencing involvement of rural healing tourism participants. The hierarchical regression analysis was applied for this study. In the first stage, age, educational level, and motivation(physical cure) had a positive effect on involvement. However, Occupation(public officials/faculty staff) had a negative effect on involvement. In the second stage, age, educational level, motivation(physical cure), and propensity to pursue wellness had a positive effect on involvement. In the third stage, age, educational level, propensity to pursue wellness, attention restoration awareness, and rural healing tourism satisfaction had a positive effect on involvement. The results of this study show that not only the characteristics of rural healing tourists, but also positive experiences in healing tourism have the greatest influence on tourists' involvement. The results of this study suggest practical implications for how to effectively increase the degree of tourists' involvement in healing tourism.

산업장근로자의 건강증진행위, 지각된 건강상태가 건강관련 삶의 질에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Health Promotion Behavior and Perceived Health Status on the Health-related Quality of Life of Industrial Employees)

  • Purpose: This study examined the correlations between the health promotion behavior, perceived health status, and health-related quality of life(HRQOL) to identify the factors influencing HRQOL of industrial employees, Methods: The target of this study was 126 industrial the employees in a vehicle company who understood the purpose of the study and agreed to participate. The collected data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, independent t-test, one way ANOVA, Scheffé test and hierarchical regression analysis using SPSS 25.0 program. Results: Hierarchical regression analysis showed that the Perceived Health Status was the influencing factor of Physical Component Summary of HRQOL(��=.56, p<.001), which had an additional explanatory power of 21.2%. The influencing factor of Mental Component Summary of HRQOL was Health Promotion Behavior(��=.32, p<.001), which had an additional explanatory power of 17.2% and Perceived Health Status(��=.29, p=.002), which had an additional explanatory power of 5.1%. Conclusion: To improve the HRQOL of life of industrial employees, counseling and education that recognizes the current state of health and induces positive health awareness are necessary, and appropriate promotion programs without limiting the time and place are needed.
