  • We construct three kinds of complete embedded singly-periodic minimal surfaces in $\mathbb{H}^2{\times}\mathbb{R}$. The first one is a 1-parameter family of minimal surfaces which is asymptotic to a horizontal plane and a vertical plane; the second one is a 2-parameter family of minimal surfaces which has a fundamental piece of finite total curvature and is asymptotic to a finite number of vertical planes; the last one is a 2-parameter family of minimal surfaces which fill $\mathbb{H}^2{\times}\mathbb{R}$ by finite Scherk's towers.

  • In this paper a robust stabilization problem is discussed for plant with both time-varying parameter perturbations and unstructured uncertainty. It is shown that, a robust L$_{2}$-stabilizing controller can be obtained by solving an H$_{\infty}$ standard problem with a scaling parameter. Using an H$_{\infty}$ design method, a robust L$_{2}$-stabilizing controller is derived. Finally, a numerical example is given.n.

  • In this paper, we present a robust H\ulcorner control design method for parameter uncertain systems that have delay in both state and control input. Through a certain algebraic Riccati inequality approach, a state feedback controller is obtained. The proposed state feedback controller stabilizes parameter uncertain delay systems and guarantees disturbance attenuation within a prescribed level. An illustrative example is given to demonstrate the results of the proposed method.

  • In this paper, we provide the technique of H$\infty$ controller design algorithm for input-saturated linear systems using a linear parameter varying(LPV) framework. The LPV controller with parameter dependent dynamic state feedback controller concept guarantees the asymtotic stability and H$\infty$ norm bound within prescribed level v using the saturation nonlinearity as scheduling parameters. Especially, the sufficient conditions for the existence of H$\infty$ controller are formulated in terms of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs) that can be solved very efficiently.

  • Traditional adaptive control algorithms are not robust to dynamic uncertainties. The adaptive control algorithms developed previously to deal with dynamic uncertainties do not facilitate quantitative design. We proposed a new robust adaptive control algorithms consists of an $H^{\infty}$ suboptimal control law and a robust parameter estimator. Numerical examples showing the effectiveness of the $H^{\infty}$ adaptive scheme are provided.

  • Hydrophilic and hydrophobic polyethersulfone (PES)-zinc oxide (ZnO) sublayers were prepared by loading of ZnO nanoparticles into PES matrix. Both porosity and hydrophilicity of the hydrophilic sublayer were increased upon addition of hydrophilic ZnO, while these were decreased for the hydrophobic sublayer. In addition, the results demonstrated that the hydrophilic membrane exhibited smaller structural parameter (S value or S parameter or S), which is beneficial for improving pure water permeability and decreasing mass transfer resistance. In contrast, a higher S parameter was obtained for the hydrophobic membrane. With a 2 M NaCl as DS and DI water as FS, the pure water flux of hydrophilic TFN0.5 membrane was increased from $21.02L/m^2h$ to $30.06L/m^2h$ and decreased for hydrophobic TFN0.5 membrane to $14.98L/m^2h$, while the salt flux of hydrophilic membrane increased from $10.12g/m^2h$ to $17.31g/m^2h$ and decreased for hydrophobic TFN0.5 membrane to $3.12g/m^2h$. The increment in pure water permeability can be ascribed to reduction in S parameter, which resulted in reduced internal concentration polarization (ICP). The current study provides a feasible and low cost procedure to decrease the ICP in FO processes.

  • This paper deals with the parameter study of roller leveling process of steel cord using finite element analysis. A simplified model of roller leveling process is constructed for the efficient numerical simulation considering the computing time. Using the constructed simulation scheme, the parameter study of main process parameters, such as back-tension and intermesh, is carried out in order to evaluate elastic recovery angle and roller force quantitatively. The effect of the initial shape of steel cord is also evaluated during the parameter study. And the mechanism of roller leveling process is verified by investigating the residual stress distribution.

  • This paper suggests a deign method of the model-following $H{\infty}$ control system having robust performance. This $H{\infty}$ control system is designed by applying genetic algorithm(GA) with reference model to the optimal determination of weighting functions and design parameter ${\gamma}$ that are given by $H{\infty}$ control theory. These weighting functions and design parameter ${\gamma}$ are optimized simultaneously in the search domain guaranteeing the robust performance of closed-loop system. The effectiveness of this $H_{\infty}$ control system is verified by computer simulation.
