The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of adolescent's environmental education experience and peer group on pro-environmental consumption behavior The survey study administered 610 questionnaires to general high school students in Daegu. The main findings of this study were as follows. First, adolescent's pro-environmental purchase behavior was positively correlated to the degree of participation in environment-related events in school, the mother's pro-environmental purchase, use and disposal behavior and environment education experience in society, while the peer group's pro-environmental purchase was positively correlated to use and disposal behavior Also adolescent's pro-environmental use behavior was positively correlated to the mother's pro-environmental purchase, use and disposal behavior, the peer group's pro-environmental purchase, and use and disposal behavior. Adolescent's pro-environmental disposal behavior was positively correlated to the degree of participation in environment-related events in school, the mother's pro-environmental purchase, use and disposal behavior, environment education experience in society, the peer group's pro-environmental purchase, and use and disposal behavior. Second, adolescent's pro-environmental purchase behavior was influenced to the greatest extent by the peer group's pro-environmental purchase behavior, followed by the mother's pro-environmental purchase behavior and use behavior, and to a lesser extent, tv environment education experience in society. I have done a case study on group level based-organizational behavior textbooks published in Korea and USA. The objects are 'organizational behavior' by Su Yong Jung and 'organizational behavior' by Im Chang Hee in Korea, and 'organizational behavior' by Schermerhorn, Osborn, Uhl-Bien, & Hunt and 'organizational behavior' by Robbins, & Judge. The goal of this study is to identify the differences of the perspectives on the group level based-organizational behavior between Korean and American textbooks. This research finding shows that it is valid to classify organizational behavior into such categories as group & team, communication, decision making, leadership, power, and conflict & negotiation in the Korean textbooks for the better future study.
This study categorizes consumers by the style of consumers' purchase behavior, and examines the differences in consumers' attitudes toward environment and pro-environmental behavior in the stage of purchase, usage, and disposal. The results of this study are summarized below: First, The style of consumers' purchase behavior can be categorized on a basis of four factors: fashioned-demonstrative consumer group focusing on fashion and demonstration effects when purchasing; rational consumer group more likely to concern price, quality, and product function; indifferent consumer group having no interest in purchasing; and fashioned-functional consumer group who values not only fashion but function. Second, the result of investigating the differences of consumers' attitudes toward environment reveals that the level of concern and awareness for environment is highest in rational consumer group, but lowest in indifferent consumer group. Also, it is higher in fashioned-functional consumer group than in fashioned-demonstrative consumer group. Lastly, the level of pro-environmental behavior in the stage of purchase, usage, and disposal is highest in rational consumer group, but lowest in indifferent consumer group. The level of pro-environmental behavior in usage stage is inactive in fashioned-demonstrative consumer group, whereas that in disposal stage is active in fashioned-functional consumer group for fashioned-demonstrative consumer group. It was so, especially in the area of not-being-a-litterbug.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of group art therapy on the withdrawn behavior, social behavior, social problems, anxiousness/depression, internalizing problems, total behavior problems and self-esteem in children who are withdrawn. Method: A randomized controlled pre-post test design was used. The participants were 31 children who were withdrawn attending J. P. Elementary School in Pohang City. Sixteen were assigned to the experimental group and 15 to the control group. The program consisted of 20 sessions of 80 minutes per session, 2 days a week, for 10 weeks. Instruments used for this study were the Children's Behavior Check List -Korean version (K-CBCL) and a self-esteem inventory. The data were analyzed using fisher exact test and Mann-Whitney U test. Results: Thescores for withdrawn behavior, social problems, anxiousness/depression, internalizing problems and total behavior problems decreased significantly in the experimental group as compare to the control group. Social behavior and self-esteem increased significantly in the experimental group as compared to the control group. Conclusions: This study provides evidence for the pontential and beneficial effects of group art therapy in children who are withdrawn. The program could be adequately used to improve problem behavior in withdrawn children.
This study was made to provide basic materials required to develop the program for desirable change of eating behavior which might be regarded as the aim of nutrition education. In this study, the relationship between the factors known to be affecting eating behavior like nutrition knowledge and dietary self efficacy was examined with high grade elementary students in Gangwon Province. The results are as follows; First, positive relationship was observed with significant difference(p<0.001) in the relationships between eating behavior and dietary self efficacy(r=0.465), between nutrition knowledge level and eating behavior(r=0.216) and between nutrition knowledge level and dietary self efficacy(r=0.312). Second, the ratio explaining the effect of dietary self efficacy and nutrition knowledge on eating behavior was 22.3%, and it affected in the order of significance level such that dietary self efficacy(p<0.001) and nutrition knowledge level(p<0.05). Third, the level of desirable eating behavior was consistent with the level of nutrition knowledge. And the scores of nutrition knowledge were $28.97{\pm}4.66$ for 'poor' group, $30.01{\pm}3.85$ for 'normal' group, $31.13{\pm}3.94$ for 'good' group and $31.75{\pm}4.10$ for 'excellent' group. When the scores of eating behavior was considered in accordance with the level of nutrition knowledge, there was difference between the groups with poor and normal scores and the groups with good and excellent scores(p<0.001), however, there was no difference between poor and normal group, and between good and excellent group. Fourth, it was found that dietary self efficacy affected the eating behavior level by level. The eating behavior score was $23.82{\pm}5.25$ for the poor dietary self efficacy group, $26.88{\pm}4.00$ for the normal group, $30.27{\pm}3.66$ for the good group and $32.81{\pm}3.79$ for the excellent group. It showed that as the degree of dietary self efficacy increased the degree of eating behavior increased in all four groups (p<0.001).
This study is to analyze and examine the relations of lifestyle, fashion behavior, and make-up behavior of post digital generation and to provide the basic data which help to establish and perform the distinctive marketing strategies targeting the post digital generation. Subjects were 1,460 male and female undergraduates who attend colleges or universities in Seoul, Busan, and Daegu. Average, standard deviation, MANOVA, and ANOVA were conducted using SPSS 12.0 statistic program. The results were as follows: The higher points the group got in all the subfactors regarding information seeking pursuit and sensation intention fascination pursuit, the higher points the group had in the subfactors of fashion behavior and make-up behavior. The group with higher fashionenjoyment pursuit appeared to seek after more brand price choice behavior, internet shopping purchasing behavior, fashion information source seeking behavior, and impulse buying behavior in the subfactors of fashion behavior as well as more self-satisfaction appearance orientation and fashion information buying orientation in the subfactors of make-up behavior. With the group in pursuit of more multi activities, not only were brand price choice behavior and fashion information source seeking behavior in the subfactors of fashion behavior sought after more, but self-satisfaction appearance orientation and fashion information buying orientation in the subfactors of make-up behavior were pursued more as well. The more interpersonal relations the group had, the more self-satisfaction appearance orientation and fashion information buying orientation in the subfactors of make-up behavior as well as the more brand price choice behavior, fashion information source seeking behavior, impulse buying behavior, other-regarding behavior and independent buying behavior in the subfactors of fashion behavior the group had.
The major findings are(were) as follows: 1) The Eco-friendly consumption behavior was divided into three(3) clusters, namely "The Middle Group" of eco-friendly consumption behavior(cluster I), "The Inferior group" of eco-friendly consumption behavior(cluster II), and "The Excellent Group" of eco-friendly consumption behavior(cluster III). 2) The differences in the general characteristics among the three clusters were founded on the experience of green consumption information and sources of information. 3) The characteristics of cluster I(The Middle Group) were(are) found to be eco-conscious, and aware of the consequences of behaviors, green market conditions and environmental issues. This cluster was the middle-average group. The characteristics of cluster III(The Excellent Group) were(are) found to have the willingness to pay additional costs, being aware of the social norms of the reference group, having an awareness of eco-institutional conditions, being knowledgeable about environmental policy, and finally, being personally involved in green consumption behavior. This cluster was the high-average group, whereas cluster II(The Inferior Group) was the low-average group.
Purpose: This study was performed to investigate effects of behavior modification on obesity index, skinfold thickness, body fat, serum lipids, serum leptin in obese elementary school children. Method: Forty seven students were selected from two elementary schools. Twenty four children in one school were assigned to experimental group and twenty three children in another school were assigned to control group. Experimental group was received 60~70 minutes of behavior modification once a week for 8 weeks. Result: Obesity index of the experimental group was significantly decreased after behavior modification. But there was no significant difference between two groups. The increase of skin fold thickness was significantly low in the experimental group compared to the control group. Percentage of body fat and fat mass were significantly decreased in the experimental group. Fat free mass was significantly increased in the experimental group. HDL-C, triglyceride and serum leptin between the experimental group and control group showed no significant difference. Conclusion: These results indicate that behavior modification is effective in decreasing percentage of body fat and fat mass, in less increasing skinfold thickness and in increasing fat free mass. In conclusion, behavior modification can be used as effective strategy for managing obesity in elementary school children.
The purpose of this research was to provide basic data to the welfare policy for the aged by studying the relation of health concern, health behavior, and subjective health condition between the aged and the preliminary aged group. Subjects were composed of a total of 259 (116 males, 143 females) living in seoul, aged 50-64(preliminary old people) and over 65(old people), and they were asked to answer the survey Questionnaires The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, chi-square test, and spearman's correlation coefficient. As a result of the study, the preliminary aged group was significant than the aged group in all three variables. In the relation of health concern and health behavior, there was significance both for the preliminary aged(p〈0.01) and the aged group(p〈0.001). Also, there was significance in the relation of health behavior and subjective health condition of two groups(p〈0.001). However, in the relation of subjective health condition and health concern, there was significance only for the aged group(p〈0.001). For the correlation among three variables, there was significance in the relation between health concern and health behavior and between health behavior and subjective health condition of the preliminary aged group(p〈0.01), but there was significance in the relation between health concern and health behavior and between health behavior and subjective health condition of the aged group(p〈0.01).
The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of unstructured and spontaeous role-playing in pro-social behavior of a child. The experimental group in this study is 7 children who go to after-school class in J. social welfare facility and the controlled group is 7 children in composition class., While the experimental group did role-playing with each other the control group did not have any treatment, In order to find out effects of an experiment pre-test first post-test and second post-test were done. The results can be concluded as following. First in pre-test the degree of behavior resulted the same in experimental group and in controlled group. However in the first post-test the pro-social behavior of the experimental group with role-playing showed an improve than that of the controlled group. Therefore it can be emphasized once more that the role-playing improves pro-social behavior of a child. Second in the second post-test done 2 moth after the role-playing it was found that the pro-social behavior of experimental group keep the improved points as in the first post-test Therefore it can be concluded that the effect of role-playing on pro-social behavior of a child is continuous.
