To this end, this paper was a questionnaire developed for use, it consists of the status, the writing skills and recognition of integrated science essay. Firstly, all grade students recognize the interest in integrated science essay class, but the need for third grade boys urgently was feeling. Second, STEAM class as a whole than average preference was. Third, integrated science essay was the most relevant, then was mathematics, languages, philosophy ethics, and social. Fourth, integrated science essay class with boys than girls in grade 1, science essay writing, reading science-related essay books, grammar, knowledge of the science and philosophy of science lessons, classes STEAM, read commentary essay reference all on the item, the higher affinity. Currently being implemented in integrated science essay test compared to the first, team teaching approach in schools project under one class teaches students how many teachers should be made. Second, it would require modifications of course content tailored to the preferences of female preference for science higher grade female students to disappear.

  • This study aims to develop the constructs for evaluating team presentations performed by undergraduate international students in Korea. To achieve the goal, this study reviews related research and sets the criteria to analyze the problems of team presentations performed in Korean by undergraduate international students. Through this analysis we got to know which problems they were making. They were failing to reorganize the resources they had referenced and to organize the contents into one. And errors or mistakes of grammar and spelling were found often in their PPT files, and the editing styles of the PPTs were not consistent. Moreover, their performances were not unlike their PPT files. One made a good presentation but the other students just recited the script without interaction with the audience. Moreover, they could not operate the Q&A part and lead the discussion well, and components for wrapping up the presentation also were omitted frequently. After the analysis, this study conducted a survey with 23 Korean language educators asking about the validity of the construct and description of the survey. Based on the collected feedback, the construct list has been modified primarily, and carried out a second survey with an expert group. Based on their opinion, the final construct list was fine-tuned.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify differences in the report assessment patterns of international undergraduate students and instructors. Based on two sample reports, the following differences were confirmed between international students and instructors' assessments of reports. First, instructors and students showed no differences in their assessments of the well-formatted report. However, the two groups exhibited differences in their assessments of the report that was not well formatted in that students evaluated the report more highly than instructors did. Second, instructors and students exhibited notable differences in their assessments of items such as citation, logic, and expression. This may have been because students lacked knowledge on citation methods and the use of grounds for arguments based on citation methods and topics. Third, students and instructors showed differences in their areas of focus when evaluating reports. Instructors mostly focused on the main topics of each report, whereas students focused on supporting details for the main topics. Based on these findings, instructors need to emphasize the following areas in educating international undergraduate students on report writing. First, they should stress proper source citation. They should provide frequent guidance on how to accurately cite sources. Second, they should help students to first think about the overall form and content of their reports. Instructors should emphasize that having a logical overall report structure and content that is relevant to the subject is more important in general than grammar or accuracy of vocabulary.

  • The purpose of this study is to observe the effects of text modification by comparing differences in Korean reading comprehension levels that arise from differences in vocabulary levels in texts. This study intends to use simplified texts with the vocabulary difficulty adjusted differently from the original text to measure reading comprehension levels of Korean learners and analyze the result. To measure reading comprehension, the researcher divided 55 Korean learners of intermediate to advanced level of fluency into two groups; the control group read the original text and the treatment group read a simplified text in which complex vocabulary were substituted with easier words of medium difficulty. Then the two groups were tested with the same questionnaire to measure comprehension levels of each group. The result showed that the groups that read simplified texts scored higher than the control group; this suggests that the reading comprehension level was increased in the treatment group. The experiment confirmed that unknown vocabulary density has direct impact on Korean reading comprehension. The result shows that the proportion of unknown vocabulary should be reduced for meaning-focused reading. It also demonstrates that comprehension of the learner was enhanced with lexical simplification rather than structural simplification i.e. simplification of grammar or sentences. Thus, diverse reading materials adjusted to the learners' level of fluency should be developed to enable reading for learning Korean. By reducing the burden of understanding the meaning of each vocabulary, learners will be able to achieve the initial goal of reading.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine satisfaction with liberal education at H university. In particular, the study is interested in students' and satisfaction with the courses of and , compulsory liberal studies. As a result of analysis, students were most satisfied with 'the percentage of liberal studies credits', being followed by 'the number of students per liberal studies class' and 'the systemicity of curriculum.' The survey also showed that, in and , students were highly satisfied with 'chance for communication with native faculty, improvement of ral expression skills' and 'improvement of orthography and grammar skill and so on. With regard to items whose satisfaction were low, the survey showed that there was the lack of connectivity between liberal studies and employment in 3 categories in common. Therefore, a direction toward enhancement of efficiency in connection with career center and the like was required in addition to establishing, developing and specifying employment category in liberal studies.

  • This study approached EPL learning with deductive teaching and learning methods and inductive teaching and learning methods which are grammar teaching and learning methods. In the entry site, lectures provided for elementary school students in grades 5 to 6 were set as deductive learning courses. Based on this, inductive learning process was developed and each learning process was composed of 12 periods. After conducting the research, EPL utilization evaluation, learning satisfaction and immersion test were conducted between the two groups. It was difficult to obtain statistically meaningful results between the two groups. However, in the three tests, the mean value of groups using inductive teaching and learning methods was high. If we construct a long-term learning process and conduct research, we think that statistically meaningful results are produced between the two groups.

  • This study focused on the development of an AI essay tool for assessing writing-communication competence using ChatGPT. During the development process, the interaction between content expert and technical expert was emphasized to explore the fusion of IT and humanities and social sciences. Through close communication and interaction between the content and technical experts, they incorporated scoring criteria for writing-communication competence and developed an AI essay test tool that provides scores and feedback in the appropriateness of content, effectiveness of organization, and accuracy of grammar. This process revealed how content and technology combine and presented considerations for future fusion researchers, including technical experts in generative AI assessment tools.

  • Programming is excellent tool on realizing ideas. However students often complain of difficulties due to requiring the strict programming grammar and the highly thinking. Although various researches have been conducted to teach the programming easily for students, it should precede the analysis of what and why programming concept is difficult for learners. In this study, we analyzed what and why the programming concept is difficult for novice learners in basic programming education. Based on the results, we suggested: improving problem-solving skills based on accurate understanding and internalization on the programming concept, on reducing error between thought and execution results through the creation of sophisticated algorithms and on offering a variety of troubleshooting experience, establishing strategies to think freely for problem-solving process, and promoting the effectiveness of the learning through the learning procedure design.

  • Recently, many supports about the education linked with industrial field have been provided in technical specialized high schools. In order to keep pace with the global trend to emphasize software education and to move away from traditional grammar-based programming learning, various physical computing tools have been used in the education fields. For this study, we conducted a programming class using Raspberry Pi for technical high school students. In the class, students were instructed to produce actual results based on the knowledge they had learned. Project-based learning was used to help students create products and thus they performed tasks while discussing and collaborating on a team-by-team basis. In particular, self-regulation learning strategies were considered to provide effective project-based instruction. After the class, we interviewed the students' satisfaction with it. The results showed that the students' satisfaction was high, and the fellow teachers also had a lot of possibilities and expectations about the programming instruction and project-based learning using Raspberry Pi.
