GEGENBAUER WAVELETS OPERATIONAL MATRIX METHOD FOR FRACTIONAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

  • In this article we introduce a numerical method, named Gegenbauer wavelets method, which is derived from conventional Gegenbauer polynomials, for solving fractional initial and boundary value problems. The operational matrices are derived and utilized to reduce the linear fractional differential equation to a system of algebraic equations. We perform the convergence analysis for the Gegenbauer wavelets method. We also combine Gegenbauer wavelets operational matrix method with quasilinearization technique for solving fractional nonlinear differential equation. Quasilinearization technique is used to discretize the nonlinear fractional ordinary differential equation and then the Gegenbauer wavelet method is applied to discretized fractional ordinary differential equations. In each iteration of quasilinearization technique, solution is updated by the Gegenbauer wavelet method. Numerical examples are provided to illustrate the efficiency and accuracy of the methods.

A Six-Phase CRIM Driving CVT using Blend Modified Recurrent Gegenbauer OPNN Control

  • Because the nonlinear and time-varying characteristics of continuously variable transmission (CVT) systems driven by means of a six-phase copper rotor induction motor (CRIM) are unconscious, the control performance obtained for classical linear controllers is disappointing, when compared to more complex, nonlinear control methods. A blend modified recurrent Gegenbauer orthogonal polynomial neural network (OPNN) control system which has the online learning capability to come back to a nonlinear time-varying system, was complied to overcome difficulty in the design of a linear controller for six-phase CRIM driving CVT systems with lumped nonlinear load disturbances. The blend modified recurrent Gegenbauer OPNN control system can carry out examiner control, modified recurrent Gegenbauer OPNN control, and reimbursed control. Additionally, the adaptation law of the online parameters in the modified recurrent Gegenbauer OPNN is established on the Lyapunov stability theorem. The use of an amended artificial bee colony (ABC) optimization technique brought about two optimal learning rates for the parameters, which helped reform convergence. Finally, a comparison of the experimental results of the present study with those of previous studies demonstrates the high control performance of the proposed control scheme.

  • In this paper, a new class of bi-univalent functions that are described by Gegenbauer polynomials is presented. We obtain the estimates of the Taylor-Maclaurin coefficients |m2| and |m3| for each function in this class of bi-univalent functions. In addition, the Fekete-Szegö problems function new are also studied.

  • The proper orthogonal decomposition (POD) method for time-dependent problems significantly reduces the computational time as it reduces the original problem to the lower dimensional space. Even a higher degree of reduction can be reached if the solution is smooth in space and time. However, if the solution is discontinuous and the discontinuity is parameterized e.g. with time, the POD approximations are not accurate in the reduced space due to the lack of ability to represent the discontinuous solution as a finite linear combination of smooth bases. In this paper, we propose to post-process the sample solutions and re-initialize the POD approximations to deal with discontinuous solutions and provide accurate approximations while the computational time is reduced. For the post-processing, we use the Gegenbauer reconstruction method. Then we regularize the Gegenbauer reconstruction for the construction of POD bases. With the constructed POD bases, we solve the given PDE in the reduced space. For the POD approximation, we re-initialize the POD solution so that the post-processed sample solution is used as the initial condition at each sampling time. As a proof-of-concept, we solve both one-dimensional linear and nonlinear hyperbolic problems. The numerical results show that the proposed method is efficient and accurate.

Coefficient Estimates for a Subclass of Bi-univalent Functions Associated with Symmetric q-derivative Operator by Means of the Gegenbauer Polynomials

  • In the present paper, a subclass of analytic and bi-univalent functions is defined using a symmetric q-derivative operator by means of Gegenbauer polynomials. Coefficients bounds for functions belonging to this subclass are obtained. Furthermore, the Fekete-Szegö problem for this subclass is solved. A number of known or new results are shown to follow upon specializing the parameters involved in our main results.

  • In this study, we introduce and investigate a novel subclass of analytic bi-univalent functions, which we define using Gegenbauer polynomials. We derive the initial coefficient bounds for |a2|, |a3|, and |a4|, and establish Fekete-Szegö inequalities for this class. In addition, we confirm that Brannan and Clunie's conjecture, ${\mid}a_2{\mid}\,{\leq}\,{\sqrt{2}}$, is valid for this subclass. To facilitate better understanding, we provide visualizations of the functions, using appropriately chosen parameters.

  • The principal object of this paper is to study a class of matrix polynomials associated with Humbert polynomials. These polynomials generalize the well known class of Gegenbauer, Legendre, Pincherl, Horadam, Horadam-Pethe and Kinney polynomials. We shall give some basic relations involving the Humbert matrix polynomials and then take up several generating functions, hypergeometric representations and expansions in series of matrix polynomials.

  • 본 논문에서는 모서리 경계조건을 만족하는 접지된 유전체층 위의 저항띠 격자구조에 의한 TE(transverse electric)산란 문제를 수치해석 방법인 FGMM(Fourier-Galerkin Moment Method)를 이용하여 해석하였다. TE 산란에 대하여 유도되는 표면 전류밀도는 스트립 양 끝에서 0의 값이 기대되며, 이때 저항띠에 유도되는 표면 전류밀도는 차수가 1인 Gegenbauer (Ultraspherical) 다항식과 적절한 모서리 경계조건을 만족하는 함수의 곱의 급수로 전개하였다. 제안된 방법의 검증을 위하여 기존의 R = 100 ohms/square 및 완전도체 경우인 균일 저항율 R = 0에 대한 정규화된 반사전력의 수치결과는 기존의 논문들과 일치하였다.

SynRM Driving CVT System Using an ARGOPNN with MPSO Control System

  • Due to nonlinear-synthetic uncertainty including the total unknown nonlinear load torque, the total parameter variation and the fixed load torque, a synchronous reluctance motor (SynRM) driving a continuously variable transmission (CVT) system causes a lot of nonlinear effects. Linear control methods make it hard to achieve good control performance. To increase the control performance and reduce the influence of nonlinear time-synthetic uncertainty, an admixed recurrent Gegenbauer orthogonal polynomials neural network (ARGOPNN) with a modified particle swarm optimization (MPSO) control system is proposed to achieve better control performance. The ARGOPNN with a MPSO control system is composed of an observer controller, a recurrent Gegenbauer orthogonal polynomial neural network (RGOPNN) controller and a remunerated controller. To insure the stability of the control system, the RGOPNN controller with an adaptive law and the remunerated controller with a reckoned law are derived according to the Lyapunov stability theorem. In addition, the two learning rates of the weights in the RGOPNN are regulating by using the MPSO algorithm to enhance convergence. Finally, three types of experimental results with comparative studies are presented to confirm the usefulness of the proposed ARGOPNN with a MPSO control system.

  • 쐐기형 영역에서 전파되는 음향파는 다음 3가지 성분으로 분류할 수 있다 : 직접 전달 경로에 의한 성분, 경계면으로 부터의 반사에 의한 상(image) 성분 그리고 정점에 의한 산란 성분, 2개의 평면으로 경계가 구성된 쐐기(또는 봉우리) 영역에서 점원에 의한 3차원적인 시간 조화 장(field)에 대한 Helmholtz 방정식의 새로운 해를 구하였으며, 그 해는 위의 3가지 성분을 모두 내포하고 있다. 이 해는 정상모우드 들의 무한 급수로 이루어졌으며 각 모우드 계수는 Gegenbauer polynomial을 포함하는 유한적분으로 주어진다. 위의 해석해를 사용하여 봉우리 영역에서 음파의 분포를 계산하였다.
