  • The load flow calculation is one of the most critical issues in electrical power systems. Generally, load flow has been calculated by Gauss-Seidel method and Newton-Raphson method but these methods have some problems such as non-convergence due to heavy load and initial value. In this paper, to overcome such problems, the power flow is calculated by genetic algorithm. At the heavy load, the solution for problem can not be obtained by the Newton-Raphson method. However, it can be solved in case of using genetic algorithm. In this paper, the strong point of this method would be demonstrated in application to an example system.

  • We synthesize a (Y,Sm)BCO(its composition is (Y/Sm123+0.4Y/Sm211)+1wt%CeO$_2$) powders using polymeric complex method. (Y,Sm)BCO powders are prepared as heated at 970$^{\circ}C$. For measurement of this characterization, We measure XRD and SEM. We use TSMG method for fabricatlon of (Y,Sm)BCO single crystal. The manufactured VBCO single crystal is measured by a magnetic distribution device using 0.5 Tesla magnet. As the result of this measurement, we find that a trapped magnet fields are 550 Gauss.

Finding Declinations Using Lookup Tables and Bilinear Interpolation in the Application of Digital Magnetic Compass

  • This paper describes Declination interpolation method in the application of Digital Magnetic Compass(DMC) with small capacity memory for relatively low-priced system. The purpose of this study is to find accurate declination values using Declination Lookup Table(DLT) and Secular Variation Table(SVT) with the Bilinear interpolation method having four points data only. World Magnetic Model with Gauss coefficients produced by NOAA is used in the calculation of DLT and SVT at desired years. To verify the applicability of the proposed method, the simulation tests and the error analysis are carried out in this work. As results from tests, the interpolation error is within 0.01 degree that is much enough to implement high accurate DMC comparing with commercial DMCs on the market. In summary, the declination interpolation method, proposed in this study, can be useful in the application of DMC.

  • In this paper, a Petrov-Galerkin natural element method (PG-NEM) based upon the natural neighbor concept is presented for the free vibration and dynamic response analyses of two-dimensional linear elastic structures. A problem domain is discretized with a finite number of nodes and the trial basis functions are defined with the help of the Voronoi diagram. Meanwhile, the test basis functions are supported by Delaunay triangles for the accurate and easy numerical integration with the conventional Gauss quadrature rule. The numerical accuracy and stability of the proposed method are verified through illustrative numerical tests.

  • In this paper, we have investigated the properties of multi-layer perceptron (MLP) for odour patterns classification and concentration estimation simultaneously. When the MLP may be has a fast convergence speed with small error and excellent mapping ability for classification, it can be possible to use for classification and concentration prediction of volatile chemicals simultaneously. However, the conventional MLP, which is back-Propagation of error based on the steepest descent method, was difficult to use for odour classification and concentration estimation simultaneously, because it is slow to converge and may fall into the local minimum. We adapted the Levenberg-Marquardt(LM) algorithm [4,5] having advantages both the steepest descent method and Gauss-Newton method instead of the conventional steepest descent method for the simultaneous classification and concentration estimation of odours. And, We designed the artificial odour sensing system(Electronic Nose) and applied LM-BP algorithm for classification and concentration prediction of VOC gases.

동압 계수의 불연속성을 이용한 내면파의 수치해석 (Internal Wave Computations based on a Discontinuity in Dynamic Pressure)

  • Internal waves are computed using a ghost fluid method on an unstructured grid. Discontinuities in density and dynamic pressure are captured in one cell without smearing or oscillations along a multimaterial interface. A time-accurate incompressible Navier-Stokes/Euler solver is developed based on a three-point backward difference formula for the physical time marching. Artificial compressibility is introduced with respect to pseudotime and an implicit method is used for the pseudotime iteration. To track evolution of an interface, a level set function is coupled with the governing equations. Roe's flux difference splitting method is used to calculate numerical fluxes of the coupled equations. To get higher order accuracy, dependent variables are reconstructed based on gradients which are calculated using Gauss theorem. For each edge crossing an interface, dynamic pressure is assigned for a ghost node to enforce the continuity of total pressure along the interface. Solitary internal waves are computed and the results are compared with other computational and experimental results.

  • This paper presents a study of 2-dimensional(2-D) eddy current problem using boundary element method(BEM). When compared with finite element method(FEM), there are only a few unknown variables in BEM because it implements numerical analysis only for the surface or boundary of a model. As a result, a lot of computational memory and time can be saved. In order to analyze 2-D eddy current problem, potentials and its derivatives(flux) in a boundary are used as variables. The Mantel function of the second kind of the zero order is used here as a fundamental solution. In order to remove singularity and to solve the integral equations in a boundary, Subtracting Singularity Method and Gauss Quadrature Formula are adopted in this paper.

역추기법을 이용한 해면골의 점탄성 특성 해석 (Estimation of Viscoelastic Properties of Trabecular Bone Using An Inverse Method)

  • An inverse method with regularization has been developed to determine the viscoelastic properties of trabecular bone. A series of stress relaxation experiments were performed under the condition of uniaxial compression stress state. Optimization has been formulated within the framework of nonlinear least-squares and a modified Gauss-Newton method with a zeroth-order regularization technique. The stress relaxation behavior of trabecular bone was analyzed using a standard viscoelastic model. The present study clearly shows that trabecular bone exhibits typical viscoelastic stress relaxation behavior, and the obtained material parameters well represent the viscoelastic behavior of trabecular bone.

경위도(經緯度) 좌표(座標) φ, λ에 의한 측지망(測地網)의 동시조정(同時調整) (Simultaneous Adjustment of Geodetic Networks by Geographical Coordinates φ, λ)

  • 본 논문(論文)에서는 경위도(經緯度) 좌표(座標)(${\varphi}$, ${\lambda}$)에 의해 측지망(測地網)을 동시조정(同時調整)하는 컴퓨터 프로그램을 작성하고, 1점(點) 1방향(方向) 고정(固定)인 경우와 자유망(自由網)조정의 두 경우를 검토하였다. 구성과(舊成果)를 초기치(初期値)로 이용하고 Hubeny 에 의해 확장된 Gauss 의 평균위도식(平均緯度式)을 사용하였으며, 좌표조정법(座標調整法)에 의해 조정계산(調整計算)을 실시하였다. 기준타원체(基準楕圓體)로는 Bessel 치를 사용하고, 관측(觀測)에 대한 중량(重量)을 1로 가정하였다. 우리 나라 일부지역의 실측(實測)데이타를 적용한 결과 평균위치오차(平均位置誤差)가 1점 1방향 고정의 경우 6.2cm, 자유망(自由網)의 경우는 2.4cm로 나타났다. 적용된 삼변망(三邊網)의 단위중량(單位重量)에 대한 표준오차(標準誤差)는 $1.66{\times}10^{-6}$ 라디안 (0.3")이고, 오차타원(誤差楕圓)을 분석한 결과 자유망(自由網)이 오차분배면에서 효과적임을 보여 주고 있다.

  • 본(本) 연구(硏究)에서는 지금까지 이용해온 가우스 상사이중투영법(相似二重投影法)과 세계적으로 널리 사용되고 있는 횡(橫)메르카토르 투영법(投影法)을 비교분석(比較分析)함으로써 보다 정확한 대지측량좌표(大地測量座標)를 제시하여 공공측량(公共測量)의 정확도(正確度)향상 및 국가기준점(國家基準點)으로서의 역할을 다하고자 하는데 그 목적(目的)이 있다. 우리 나라는 1910년대에 조선총독부(朝鮮總督部)가 조선토지조사사업(朝鮮土地調査事業)의 일환으로 계획되고 시행한 삼각측량(三角測量)의 계산에 가우스 상사이중투영법(相似二重投影法)이 사용되었으나, 계산당시 수계산(手計算)에 의존하였으므로 계산상의 오차(誤差)가 포함되었을 뿐만 아니라 투영법(投影法)이 갖는 왜곡오차(歪曲誤差)도 포함되어 정확도면(正確度面)에서 문제가 되어 왔다. 따라서, 횡(橫)메르카토르 투영법(投影法)과 비교분석하여 오차분포(誤差分布)를 고찰하고 횡(橫)메르카토르 투영법(投影法)을 도입하여 삼각점좌표(三角點座標)를 계산할 경우 기대되는 오차(誤差) 향상도 및 공공측량(公共測量)의 계용오차범위(計容誤差範圍)를 고려한 원점(原點)의 적용범위를 비교분석하였다.
