The Korean on-line game industry is going through a rapid change. The future business environments for potential on-line game companies are very uncertain due to the new service and the different market trends. In this paper, I propose the use of morphological analysis approach for scenario generation about the future of the On-line game industry. The stages of research process were as follows; Firstly, digital contents analysis and key issues were drawn on IPTV in the on-line game industry. Secondly, each key issue was analyzed and the influence factors and directivity flow were found. Thirdly, highly probable future on-line game industry scenarios were derived. In this case, morphological analysis. On the basis of the developed scenarios, I formulated some implications for business strategy of a potential on-line game companies.
While numerous On off-line and mobile games have been released in our domestic game market annually, the release of mechanic games in our domestic game market is merely a minority. The marketability of robot-typed mechanic game among our domestic game markets has net been widened. What are the reasons that the robot-typed mechanic game in our domestic games has not been expanded in terms of its users? The purpose of this study is to figure out the reasons why there have been few demands and manufactures of robot-typed mechanic games in domestic market. This study investigate the present conditions of robot-typed mechanic games released domestically and internationally and the reasons for game users' avoiding them through the ranking of sale and popularity. In addition, it analyze three biggest causes such as the absence of planning capability, cultural exclusivism against robots and difficulties in manipulation. Lastly, the study investigate the necessity and importance of robot-typed mechanic games in domestic markets.
Recently, the Online Game industry has appeared the various change of the development environment in the rapid growth. So the online game company has been trying to search games able to success and they are performing diversified researching to prepare the judgment ground of success from initial stage of development. The aim of this study is to find success factors which is in the process from development to distribute for the online game through collecting opinions of specialist and taking survey to people employed in online game development field. Consequently, we indicate success factors using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and make out success factors for the online games. Furthermore, we suggest the way which is able to apply factors objectified so that exceed the limit of using it to the company planning to develop successful games objectively.

With the development in the IT industry and the growth in the game industry, user's game data is recorded in seconds according to various plays and options, and a vast amount of game data can be analyzed based on Bigdata. Combined with business, Bigdata is used to discover new values for profit creation in various fields, but it is utilized in the game industry in insufficient ways. In this study, considering the characteristics of the subdivided lines, we constructed a win-loss prediction model for each line using the game data of League of Legends, and derived the importance of variables. This study can contribute to planning of strategies for general game users to get information about team members in advance and increase the win rate by using the record search sites.

Since the development of NCS-based curriculum in field of game education is not well studied, so we carried out research on the curriculum development of game contents department of Kimpo University as the first study to link game education and NCS. In order to develop the NCS-based game education course, we analyzed the game industry environment and conducted a demand survey on the game industry officials to derive the vocational basic subjects required for game contents creation. In addition, we analyzed the types of manpower training by using on-site experts (SME). SME also designed the NCS curriculum by matching the manpower type comparing with NCS classification and capacity unit, analyzing the usefulness of each Capacity unit, and finally, by arranging each NCS and non-NCS subjects by semester. This research is meaningful as the first study linking NCS and game content creation, and it will be a reference for other education institutions planning game education course based on NCS. It also can be used as a basic material for researching game education quality management (CQI) as well as improvement methods for future game education courses.
As digital technology evolved, digital paradigm emerged and storytelling began to evolve. Especially, since digital storytelling is the core of the digital game, it is a tendency to develop content in consideration of the strategy of transmedia storytelling at the planning stage even for IP expansion. By fusing media in a variety of ways and expanding the story, players can experience meaningful storytelling in a new media environment and game loyalty allows game developers to expand and innovate their businesses. In this study, we analyzed the case of , a proven powerful IP that has been expanding its story to various media for more than 20 years in order to investigate the transmedia storytelling strategy based on game media. I would like to take a look at the strategy of using the transmedia storytelling.
Battles between players and monsters are considered to be the core issues of RPG games, and they are something that effects the players the most when it comes to thinking whether that particular game is fun or not. Even though MMORPGs have enabled RPGs to get out of the repetitiveness into unlimited possibility of expandability and capability of modification of game plays, essential game play process remains still important - the basic battle between the player and the monsters. In this research, we made a simulator to simulate the process of the battles to estimate results of battles by pre-testing the battles with setting up the experience values of players and monsters using formulae needed for the battle systems at the beginning of game development. It can be utilized at a tester to find out a better configuration of monsters in the maps for better optimization of time and efficiency of the battles to satisfy the game planning.

This research will apply the environmental characteristics of physical computing to game development, which has the concept of giving substantial materiality to digital media that do not exist in reality. The processing process of physical computing is digital input and digital output, and analog input and analog output, which mainly uses Malik controllers. Therefore, we select development elements by analyzing research cases in the field of digital art and information education where physical computing is studied a lot, and by analyzing games that borrowed some physical computing elements. The derived elements are verified by the Delphi's research methodology through agreement with experts. 12 elements are selected in this study, and the importance is shown in order of the physical properties in the virtual world, the suitability of the implementation technology, and the conformity between real and virtual players.
The purpose of this study is to classify the types of internet personal game broadcasting in China and to examine viewers' preferences type of it. By targeting top 100 creators of Player-Unknown's Battleground streaming as a personal game broadcaster with over 100,000 followers, the game types were classified based on the purpose and characteristic of game broadcasting such as game play, entertainment, and audience participation. As a result, the type of internet personal game broadcasting in China was classified into progamer type, cooperative playing type, storytelling type, and reciprocal entertainment type. The progamer type was 38% and it was the highest proportion of Player-Unknown's Battlegrounds streaming. Next came storytelling type, cooperative playing type and reciprocal entertainment type with 25%, 19% and 18% respectively. In sum, progamer type and storytelling type which shows relatively low real - time communication with audiences accounted for a high percentage of 63%. This implies that the characteristics of the broadcast media focused on 'showing' have influenced the production and planning of personal game broad casting. The interactive characteristics of the platform of personal game broad casting can be expected to gradually change the conventional customs of broadcasting media.
