  • Stream Naturalness means the index of natural state in stream's ecosystem. The evaluation of stream naturalness can evaluate relatively the effect of environmental damages by human and to show how significantly current stream has been apart from its natural state. And it could be show what is the meaning of importance in stream's ecosystem by such distinctions and it Is done by showing the need how a large scale of action for restoration to be restored to natural state of stream system. In this study, a set of index for Stream Naturalness evaluation is proposed, which is referred to and modified problems with domestic and foreign study cases. This methodology is supposed to show well the characteristics of stream in Korea. A case study of Hong-Chun River shows how this methodology is applied to the Stream Naturalness evaluation. For improving the function of river which are water use and flood control and for preserving the function of inhabitation, the proposed methodology is expected to be used a index of direction for a environmental project related stream improvement by evaluation of ecologically sound function in streams.

  • In this study, we present a grid refinement model in the lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) for two-dimensional incompressible fluid flow. That is, the model combines the desirable features of the lattice Boltzmann method and stream function-vorticity formulations. In order to obtain an accurate result, very fine grid (or lattice) is required near the solid boundary. Therefore, the grid refinement model is used in the lattice Boltzmann method for stream function-vorticity formulation. This approach is more efficient in that it can obtain the same accurate solution as that in single-block approach even if few lattices are used for computation. In order to validate the grid refinement approach for the stream function-vorticity formulation, the numerical simulations of lid-driven cavity flows were performed and good results were obtained.

  • In incompressible flow which has multi-length scale, it has a very important effect which dependent variables are used for adaptive grid generation. Among many length scales in incompressible flow, the dependent variables used for the adaptive grid generation should be able to represent the feature of the concerned system. In this paper, by using vorticity and stream function, in addition to velocity components, the smoother and more stable grid generation is possible and these four flow properties represent each scale. The adaptive grid generation for a lid-driven cavity flow with $N_{re}$ =3200 using four flow properties such as velocity components, vorticity, stream function is performed, and the usefulness of using vorticity and stream function as the indicator for adaptive grid generation is shown.

  • Achieving efficient authentication is a crucial issue for stream data commonly seen in content delivery, peer-to-peer, and multicast/broadcast networks. Stream authentication mechanisms need to be operated efficiently at both sender-side and receiver-side at the same time because of the properties of stream data such as real-time and delay-sensitivity. Until now, many stream authentication mechanisms have been proposed, but they are not efficient enough to be used in stream applications where the efficiency for sender and receiver sides are required simultaneously since most of them could achieve one of either sender-side and receiver-side efficiency. In this paper, we propose an efficient stream authentication mechanism, so called TIM, by integrating Trapdoor Hash Function and Merkle Hash Tree. Our construction can support efficient streaming data processing at both sender-side and receiver-side at the same time differently from previously proposed other schemes. Through theoretical and experimental analysis, we show that TIM can provide enhanced performance at both sender and receiver sides compared with existing mechanisms. Furthermore, TIM provides an important feature for streaming authentication, the resilience against transmission loss, since each data block can be verified with authentication information contained in itself.

  • Instream flow is necessary to manage the basic function of the rivers. The evaluation method of instream flow in a big river has been studied widely. However, the study in a urban hasn't researched. In theses days the environmental function of a river becomes very important. The evaluation method and secure of instream flow are basic conditions to perform it. Especially view of stream, recreation, protection of ecology are highly demanded In a urban according to the multipurpose of river spaces. In this paper the evaluation methods of instream flow were compared and investigated with many papers. This paper presents a proper evaluation procedure of instream flow in a urban stream through comparison and examination. According to the demanded hydraulic conditions the method can be considered the environmental function depend on the purpose of river restoration. The relationship of the coefficient of roughness and the slope of the river bed were examinated in order to estimate the minimum instream flow corresponding to proper Hydraulic conditions. Also calculate the instream flow of Sueng-gi stream in In-cheon.

  • This paper describes a recent development on the divergence free basis function based on a hermite stream function. The well-known cavity problem has been used to compare the accuracy and the convergence of the present method with those of a modified residual method known as one of the stabilized finite e1ement methods. The comparison showed the present method performs better in the accuracy and convergence.

  • A Boolean function generates a binary sequence which is frequently used in a stream cipher. There are number of critical concepts which a Boolean function, as a key stream generator in a stream cipher, satisfies. These are nonlinearity, correlation immunity, balancedness, SAC (strictly avalanche criterion), PC (propagation criterion) and so on. In this paper we construct an algorithm for finding the correlation immune order of a Boolean function, and check how long to find the correlation immune order of a given Boolean function in our algorithm.

  • Understanding of the hydraulics of flow is very important to support the management of river. The cross-sectional area, average velocity, flow depth and discharge can be regarded as a power function each other. In this paper the flow of Bocheong stream basin is experimentally studied. The correlation analysis was performed between observed hydraulic factors by the power type function. The constants resulted from the correlation analysis were calculated by the geomorphologic characteristics of the watershed using the power type function. The correlation coefficients between the hydraulic factors were appeared close to unit having strong correlationship. The two conditions of equality of the continuity equation were analysed, and the conditions were found to be good results. From these results the observed hydraulic data of Bocheong stream basin can be concluded as a reliable data. The correlation coefficients between the parameters of the hydraulic characteristics and geomorphologic factors were found to be close to unit.
