Zagier lift gives a relation between weakly holomorphic modular functions and weakly holomorphic modular forms of weight 3/2. Duke and Jenkins extended Zagier-lifts for weakly holomorphic modular forms of negative-integral weights and recently Bringmann, Guerzhoy and Kane extended them further to certain harmonic weak Maass forms of negative-integral weights. New Zagier-lifts for harmonic weak Maass forms and their relation with Bringmann-Guerzhoy-Kane's lifts were discussed earlier. In this paper, we give explicit relations between the two different lifts via direct computation.

We classify the extreme and exposed symmetric bilinear forms of the unit ball of the space of symmetric bilinear forms on ${\mathbb{R}}^2$ with hexagonal norms. We also show that every extreme symmetric bilinear forms of the unit ball of the space of symmetric bilinear forms on ${\mathbb{R}}^2$ with hexagonal norms is exposed.

Our final purpose may be to introduce generalized differential forms on the space Map(S, M) of mappings from a manifold S into a manifold M and discuss the differential geometry of the space Map(S, M) from the point of the generalized forms. Here we take a subspace X of the space Map(S,M) and we introduce the generalized differential forms on X, taking the dual to the chain space with the flat norm. This method of construction allows us to discuss a sufficient condition for a subspace Y of X to admit the generalized differential forms and the natural integration as the dual operation.

Underground building constructions are recently more important because the ratio of underground area is increasing in the huge and high-rise building construction projects. For reducing the total building construction periods, it is required to reduce not only the over-ground structural work periods but also the underground structural work periods. Therefore, this study is proposed the non-supporting system forms for single face walls in underground building construction by one of the methods for reducing the underground structural work periods and investigated the applicability of the non-supporting system forms by analyzing the case-study in civil construction project. In regard of construction duration, the results of analyzing the case-study showed that the non-supporting system forms are better than the euro forms with soldier system for single face walls in underground building construction. In addition, it is showed that the cost of these two forms is similar and usage the working space and safety in non-supporting system forms are better that those of the euro forms with soldier system, too.

The binding interaction of ethidium to a series of synthetic deoxyoligonucleotides containing a B-Z junction between left-handed Z-DNA and right-handed B-DNA, was studied. The series of deoxyoligonucleotides was designed so as to vary a dinucleotide step immediately adjacent to a B-Z junction region. Ethidium binds to the right-handed DNA forms and hybrid B-Z forms which contain a B-Z junction, in a highly cooperative manner. In a series of deoxyoligonucleotides, the binding affinity of ethidium with DNA forms which were initially hybrid B-Z forms shows over an order of magnitude higher than that with any other DNA forms, which were entirely in B-form DNA The cooperativity of binding isotherms were described by an allosteric binding model and by a neighbor exclusion model. The binding data were statistically compared for two models. The conformation of allosterically converted DNA forms under binding with ethidium is found to be different from that of the initial B-form DNA as examined by CD spectra. The ratio of the binding constant was interestingly correlated to the free energy of base unstacking and the conformational conversion of the dinucleotide. The more the base stacking of the dinucleotide is unstable, or the harder the conversion of B to A conformation, the higher the ratio of the binding constant of ethidium with the allosterically converted DNA forms and with the initial B-Z hybrid forms. DNA sequence around a B-Z junction region affects the binding affinity of ethidium. The results in this study demonstrate that ethidium could preferentially interact with unusual DNA structures.

The present study investigated what kind of form-focused instruction would yield better results for incidental learning of English verb patterns in two experiments. Experiment 1 compared the effectiveness of focus on form (reading + translation) and focus on forms (verb pattern list + translation) tasks in learning new English verb patterns incidentally in Korean EFL college classrooms. The results of Experiment 1 showed significantly higher results for the focus on forms group. Since it was revealed by Experiment 1 that the learners did not notice unknown target verb patterns, Experiment 2 was undertaken to examine whether the difference between the focus on form and focus on forms conditions found in Experiment 1 would be retained even after the isolated form-focused instruction or focus on forms aiming at teaching students how to recognize verb patterns was provided for the learners before the focus on form and focus on forms tasks were carried out. The results showed that the focus on form group yielded significantly higher incidental learning scores than the focus on forms group. The effectiveness rates of the focus on form in Experiment 2 were statistically higher than those of the focus on forms in Experiment 1. The results of the two experiments indicated that the combination of the isolated form-focused instruction and focus on form was significantly more effective in learning English verb patterns incidentally. In conclusion, form-focused instruction including both isolated form-focused instruction and focus on form is an effective way to incidental learning of English verb patterns.

This is a basic study for developing educational dress forms of male adults' pattern making. While examining the reality of each university's men's wear education and the production of male dress forms, this paper found the following findings: 1. Survey of Dress Forms Used by Men's Apparel Companies The men's apparel companies had dissatisfaction with domestic dress forms but satisfaction with foreign-made ones. In general, among the unsatisfied items were wide discrepancy in male Korean body sizes, unfitting domestic somatotypes, lacking dress forms for those in the 20s, and no diverse forms per body type. To be specific, unsuitable hip and shoulder parts as well as weak fixing parts were pointed out. Every apparel companies found it necessary to develop male dress forms based on Korean male adults. When they are developed for sale, they will be highly utilized in the order of fitting, pattern making, male design research, and somatotype research. 2. Survey of Education for Men's Wear in Fashion Dept. of University 61.54% of the investigated universities had some teaching as far as men's wear were concerned. Application areas of male dress forms were such as pattern making (53.85%), fitting (41.38%), and design research (5.77%). As to the degrees of utilization, 73.08% predicted them high.
