골리앗 크레인의 구조안정성 검증 (Structural Evaluation of the 300 Ton Goliath Crane)

  • 본 연구는 유한요소해석에 의해 300톤 골리앗 크레인의 구조해석 및 평가를 하였다. 300톤 골리앗 크레인의 구조는 110m의 스판과 50m의 높이로 구성되어 있다. 크레인은 자중, 크레인의 주행 관성력, 트롤리의 주행 관성력, 풍하중, 지진하중을 받는다. 다양한 하중 조건을 입력하여 크레인의 구조 해석을 수행하였다. 크레인의 등가응력과 전체 변형량을 ANSYS Workbench에서 얻은 결과를 이용하여 크레인의 구조 안전성 여부를 판단하였다.

의학교육 평가인증의 국제적 동향 (Current Trend of Accreditation within Medical Education)

  • Currently, accreditation within medical education is a priority on the agenda for many countries worldwide. The World Federation for Medical Education's (WFME) launch of its first trilogy of standards in 2003 was a seminal event in promoting accreditation within basic medical education (BME) globally. Parallel to that, WFME also actively spearheaded a project to recognize the accrediting agencies within individual countries. The introduction of competency-based medical education (CBME) with the two key concepts of "entrusted professional activity" and milestones has enabled researchers to identify the relationship between patient outcomes and medical education. Recent data driven by CBME has been used for the continuous quality improvement of trainees and training programmes as well. The goal of accreditation has shifted from the single purpose of quality assurance to balancing quality assurance and quality improvement. Even though there are a plethora of types of postgraduate medical education (PGME), it may be possible to accredit resident programmes on a global scale by adopting the concept of CBME. In addition, the alignment of the accreditation for BME and PGME, which center on competency, will be achievable. This argument may extend the possibility of measuring the outcomes of the accreditation itself against patient outcomes as well. Therefore, evidence of the advantages of costly and labor-consuming accreditation processes will be available in the near future and quality improvement will be the driving force of the accreditation process.

보건의료인을 위한 약물감시교육의 해외 동향 및 국내 현황 (Educating Healthcare Professionals in Pharmacovigilance: Global Trends and Korea's Status)

  • This narrative review introduces global trends in pharmacovigilance (PV) education for healthcare professionals and the status of PV education in Korea. Proactive participation of healthcare professionals, including physicians, pharmacists, and nurses in reporting suspected adverse events is the main driving force for effective operation of the spontaneous adverse event reporting system database, which in turn facilitates early safety signal detection of otherwise unknown suspected adverse events. The World Health Organization recognizes PV education curriculum as a key aspect in promoting awareness of PV and adverse event reporting among healthcare professionals, and multiple studies have demonstrated that PV educational interventions for healthcare professionals have increased overall adverse event reporting. Considering the global trends in PV education, the curriculum in Korean universities still has room for improvement in promoting PV obligation among future healthcare professionals. Further research is needed to develop PV education curriculum. We suggest a three-step project for innovating PV education in Korea to meet the global PV educational standards: a survey to gauge current PV competencies among healthcare professionals, reform of current PV academic curriculum, and evaluation and fine-tuning of the reformed curriculum.

  • 본 연구는 우리나라에서 방화원인조사를 주로 담당하고 있는 소방과 경찰관서의 실무자들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 방화원인조사에 관한 인식을 조사하였다. 설문조사결과 방화통계관리를 위한 전담부서의 설치, 광역 방화원인조사전담팀의 설치, 국립과학수사연구소 이외의 화재감정기관의 설립, 화재조사 장비 보유기준 제정, 방화(화재)원인조사 전문교육제도의 개선, 방화(화재)원인조사 담당자들의 전문화를 위한 제도개선 등이 필요한 것으로 나타났다.

A brief review on recent developments of superconducting microwave resonators for quantum device application

  • Quantum information processing using superconducting qubit based on Josephson junction has become one of the most promising candidates for possible realization of a quantum computer. In the heart of the qubit circuits, the superconducting microwave resonator plays a key role in quantum operations and measurements, which enables single-photon level microwave quantum optics. During last decade, the coherence time, or the lifetime of the quantum state, of the superconducting qubit has been dramatically improved. Among several technological innovations, the improvement of superconducting microwave resonator's quality has been the main driving force in getting the qubit performance almost ready for elementary quantum computing architecture. In this paper, I will briefly review very recent progresses of the superconducting microwave resonators especially aimed for quantum device applications during the last decade. The progresses have been driven by ingenious circuit design, material improvement, and new measurement techniques. Even a rather radical idea of three-dimensional large resonators have been successfully implemented in a qubit circuit. All those efforts contributed to our understanding of the qubit decoherence mechanism and as a result to the improvement of qubit performance.

Critical Factors Affecting Employers' Satisfaction with Accounting Graduates in Hanoi

  • In recent years, many firms have built a good recruitment policy, focusing on the requirements set for candidates to meet the employers' satisfaction; they often have certain requirements for each accounting job's position. The study aims to identify and measure factors affecting the employers' satisfaction with accounting graduates in Hanoi, the important locus of firms' labor force. We conducted a questionnaire consisting of 16 observation variables with a 5-point Likert scale. Independent variables were measured from 1 "without effect" to 5 "strongly". Based on the literature review and results of interviews, a total of 150 questionnaires were sent to participants; 135 of them met the standards and were subject to be analyzed. The results of Cronbach's alpha, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Multiple Regression Analysis (MRA) identify three main determinants influencing the employers' satisfaction with accounting graduates in Hanoi, including students' experience before graduating (SEG), reputation of universities (RU), and university's recruitment support policy (RSP). Based on the findings, some recommendations have been proposed to help universities design training programs for creating better satisfactions for employers in the future. On this basis, the authors propose a number of recommendations to improve the employers' satisfaction with accounting graduates in Hanoi.

2016년 경주지진에 의한 국내 도시철도 교량의 잠재적 손상평가 (Damage Potential of a Domestic Metropolitan Railway Bridge subjected to 2016 Gyeongju Earthquake)

  • Damage potential has been investigated for a domestic metropolitan railway bridge subjected to 2016 Gyeongju earthquake which has been reported as the strongest earthquake in Korea. For this purpose, nonlinear static pushover analyses for the bridge piers have been carried out to evaluate ductility capacities. Then, the capacities have been compared with those suggested by Railway Design Standards of Korea. This comparison shows that all piers possess enough safety margins. Nonlinear dynamic time-history analysis has also been conducted to estimate both displacement and shear force demands for the bridge subjected to ground motions recorded at stations in near of Gyeongju. Maximum demands reveal that response under the ground motions remains essentially in elastic. In addition, for a further assessment of the bridge under the Gyeongju earthquake, fragility analyses have been performed using those ground motions. The fragility results indicate that the recorded earthquakes do not significantly affect the damage exceedance probability of the bridge piers.

  • 현재 해상교통안전시설인 표준등부표의 종류는 10가지이며, 가장 작은 등부표가 4.4m로 대형인 것이 현실이다. 따라서 제작, 교체 및 수리가 용이한 부유형의 소형 등부표를 제안하고자 하였다. 한편 부유형의 경우 환경적 외력에 의한 위치 신뢰도가 떨어지며, 특히 유실 등의 사고에 대비하기 위한 안정성 검토가 필요하다. 이 논문에서는 새로운 등부표의 운동성(Heave, Sway, Pitch)을 상용프로그램을 사용하여 Encounter Frequency별 분석하고, 2차원 경계요소법(Boundary Element Method, BEM)을 이용하여 부유체의 단면형상에 따른 유체력을 수치시뮬레이션하였다.

GPU를 이용한 TDD LTE MU-MIMO 시스템에서의 재전송 구현 (Implementation of Retransmission in TDD LTE MU-MIMO system using GPU)

  • The TDD LTE MU-MIMO HARQ system is designed and implemented using GPU based on 3GPP Rel.10 standard. The system consists of the DU part of the base station and the terminal using the general computer based on the GeForce GTX TITAN graphics card provided by NIVIDIA, and constructed the part of the RU using USRP N210 provided by Ettus. In the implementation part, SDR standard is applied, so that various communication standards can be compatible with software. The retransmission is implemented by combining the previous data with the retransmission data using Chase Combining among HARQ methods. In order to confirm that the retransmission was successful, the performance evaluation used LLR constellation. First, if there is an error in the data, the LLR value is not distributed at the corresponding position. in this case, a retransmission is performed to chase combine the previously stored error data and retransmitted data. As a result, the LLR value was distributed at the position of the corresponding LLR value per bit. Through this, it can be confirmed that error - free data is formed by using Chase Combining after retransmission.

응답 스펙트럼 해석을 이용한 원심펌프의 내진 건전성 평가 (Evaluation of the Seismic Integrity of a Centrifugal Pump using Response Spectrum Analysis)

  • 내진 평가에서 동적 해석이 필요한 원심펌프에 대하여, 시간 이력 해석에 비해 간편한 스펙트럼 해석을 이용하여, 진동 응답을 산출하였다. 유한요소법에 의하여 모드 해석을 하였으며, 모드 해석 결과에 입각하여 스펙트럼 해석을 수행하였다. 스펙트럼 해석에 의해 구해진 진동 응답은 시간 이력 해석의 결과보다 보수적으로 산출되어 안전하게 설계할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구에서의 펌프는 IEEE 344-1987에서 요구되는 조건에 따라 내진 구조 건전성이 평가 되었다. 각 부재의 최대 응력은 허용 응력이하로 산출되었으며, 펌프는 주어진 지진 입력에 대하여 요구되는 안전 조건을 구비하고 있음이 판명되었다.
