The matrix-type superconducting fault current limiter (MSFCL) consists of the trigger and current-limiting parts. The trigger part with reactors connected in parallel improves the quenching characteristics by applying the external magnetic field into the superconducting units. The current-limiting part with superconducting units connected in parallel and shunt reactors connected in series limit the fault current when the fault occurs. We developed the integrated reactor with the trigger and the current-limiting parts to apply high external magnetic field into the superconducting units. This was composed of a superconducting unit for the trigger part and two superconducting units for the current-limiting parts. We confirmed that the external magnetic field generated in the MSFCL with an integrated reactor was larger than that of the MSFCL with the separated reactors. So the differences of voltages generated between superconducting units were decreased in the difference according to the increment of the applied voltage. The whole magnitude of the SFCL was reduced because the volume of an integrated reactor could be reduced by one-third than that of the separated reactors. We confirmed that the critical behavior between the superconducting units in the MSFCL with an integrated reactor was more improved than that of the MSFCL with the separated reactors.

Cu thin film was deposited by a self-ion assisted beam source (SIAB) and the assessment of the Cu films was given. Some characteristics of the source and the experimental procedure are described at various conditions such as total power, ionization efficiency, and ion current vs. deposition rate. The dependence of crystalline structure, impurity concentration, and resistivity of the Cu films deposited by SIAB on acceleration voltage are discussed.

Using a simple analytic model based on the MHD stability arguments we obtain the size of the magnetosphere for the magnetic compact stars. We assume the ordered, field-aligned flow in the magnetosphere and estimate the wellknown Alfven radius. The dependence of the X-ray absorption in the magnetic funnel on the size of this radius is further considered. We show that such a determination of the magnetic interaction radius can be applied to the reconstruction of X-ray light curves of the magnetic binary stars.

Quantum graph of Sierpinski gasket type with attached leads in an electric eld is considered. We study the dependence of the transmission coecient via the wave number of the quantum particle. It has strongly resonance character. The in uence of the amplitude and the orientation of the electric eld on the coecient is investigated.

Thickness dependent morphology of ZnO films was studied, and ZnO can be intentionally grown into amorphous phase by reducing the thickness. The top-gate amorphous ZnO TTFTs with rather high field-effect mobilities and on/off current ratios were effectively fabricated.

In this study, near the 3-phase power lines with branch lines were formulated. In rectangular coordinates, dependence of branch angle $\alpha$ on electromagnetic field components $B_x,\;B_y,\;B_z$ 및 $E_x,\;E_y,\;E_z$ was analyzed. The resultant electromagnetic fields B and E were discussed.

The first and second harmonics have been measured in the iron whisker with the axial current that produces a circular field. The observed harmonics profiles have been discussed in terms of theoretical analysis based on the nonlinear, asymmetric magnetization that are related to the nucleation, transformation and annihilation of domains. The change of second harmonics profile is more sensitive to the domain variation than that of first harmonics.
