농촌 공정관광의 재참여 결정요인 (Determinants of Re-participation for Rural Responsible Tourism)

  • Responsible tourism has become an established area of the tourism industry. This study aims to identify the factors that influence re-participation in responsible tourism in rural Korea. On-site survey was conducted on 436 tourists by seven responsible tourism agencies in Korea. The motivation for responsible tourists was categorized into seven types: family togetherness, escape and relaxation, personal growth, social interaction, various experiences, learning, and natural experience. The estimation of a binary logistic regression model determined the characteristics of responsible tourists who are most likely to opt for re-participation in responsible tourism. Results indicated that important factors for re-participation in responsible tourism were 'age', 'educational level', 'accompany', 'length of stay', and 'motivation'. The results implied that tourists' internal and external factors are important for re-participation in responsible tourism. It is expected that this study will contribute to the market expansion of responsible tourism.

프랜차이즈 패밀리레스토랑의 브랜드 포지셔닝에 관한 연구 (Brand Positioning Strategy of Franchise Family Restaurant)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 프랜차이즈 패밀리레스토랑의 전략적 포지셔닝 맵을 그리고 실무적 시사점을 제공하는 것이다. 본 연구는 패밀리레스토랑 매출순위와 브랜드가치순위를 참고하여 다섯 곳의 브랜드(빕스, 아웃백스테이크하우스, 애슐리, TGI프라이데이스)를 선정하여 4곳 모두를 이용한 경험이 있는 성인을 대상으로 1500개의 자료를 수집하여 통계분석에 적절하지 않은 24개를 제외한 1476개의 자료를 최종분석에 사용하였다. 총 연구결과를 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 요인 분석을 통해 23개의 아이템으로 구성된 다섯 개의 품질 속성(종업원 서비스, 물리적 환경, 마케팅, 접근성, 음식 품질)을 추출하였다. 둘째, 판별분석 결과 4곳의 브랜드에 대한 서비스 품질 요인 중 판별력에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 종업원 서비스, 접근성, 음식의 품질을 2차원으로 표시한 결과와 브랜드별 차이를 분석한 결과에서 아웃백스테이크하우스는 다른 패밀리레스토랑과 비교해 상대적으로 높은 평가를 얻은 반면, TGI프라이데이스와 애슐리는 대체적으로 평가가 낮게 나타났다. 따라서 TGI프라이데이스와 애슐리는 판별력이 높은 종업원의 서비스, 접근성, 음식의 품질 중 종업원의 서비스와 음식의 품질에 대한 차별화 전략을 구사하여야 할 것이며, 향후 새로운 가맹점을 개설 할 경우 접근성을 고려해야 할 것이다.

PROFITABILITY AND SUSTAINABILITY OF A TOURISM-BASED SOCIAL-ECOLOGICAL DYNAMICAL SYSTEM BY BIFURCATION ANALYSIS

  • In this paper we study a four dimensional tourism-based social-ecological dynamical system. In fact we analyse tourism profitability, compatibility and sustainability by using bifurcation theory in terms of structural properties of attractors of system. For this purpose first we transformed it into a three dimensional system such that the reduced system is the extended and modified model of the previous three dimensional models suggested for tourism with the same dimension. Then we investigate transcritical, pitchfork and saddle-node bifurcation points of system. And numerically by finding some branches of stable equilibria for system show the profitability of tourism industry. Then by determining the Hopf bifurcation points of system we find a family of stable attractors for that by numerical techniques. Finally we conclude the existence of these stable limit cycles implies profitability and compatibility and then the sustainability of tourism.

농촌관광의 내재적동기와 음식선호에 대한 융복합 연구 (A Convergence Study on the Relationship between Food Preferences and Intrinsic Motivation of Rural Tourism)

  • 연구의 목적은 농촌관광 내재적동기와 음식선호의 관련성을 살펴봄으로써 농촌관광 음식상품의 방향을 제안하는 것이다. 분석을 통해 농촌관광 내재적동기는 '여가지향', '가족지향', '관계지향', '건강지향', 음식선호는 '요리건강성', '재료기능성', '지역자원성', '소비체험성' 요인이 추출되었다. 상관관계 분석결과 '여가·건강지향'은 요리건강성, '건강·관계지향'은 재료기능성, '여가·가족·관계지향'은 지역자원성, 관계지향은 소비체험성과 유의미한 관계가 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 그러므로 휴식과 힐링, 건강을 원하는 관광객에게는 건강한 요리를 제공하고, 가족 등과 여가 시간을 희망하는 관광객은 향토요리나 특산물요리를 제공하며, 사람과의 관계를 원하는 관광객은 기능성식품이나 한방약초 요리가 권장된다. 관광객 요구에 맞는 농촌관광 음식상품은 관광객의 만족도를 높임으로써 재방문을 유도하여 농촌관광의 확대를 통해 농촌 지역 경제 활성화를 가져올 것이다.

  • Since the Discussion on responsible tourism sector began in the 1980s, the interest in responsible tourism has increased. Responsible tourism aims to preserve the local culture and environment, and make the benefits return benefits to local stakeholders. This study aims to obtain an empirical understanding of the responsible tourism market by using a segmentation approach to provide better information for responsible tourism marketers in Korea. A self-administered survey was obtained from 471 tourists in seven responsible tourism sites. As for the motivations of responsible tourism, seven factors ('faimly togetherness', 'escape relaxation', 'personal growth', 'social interaction', 'various experience', 'learning' and 'natural experience') were extracted. Six distinct segments were identified based on the motivation: escape from daily life relaxation seekers (19.15%), overall low motivation (7.8%), family togetherness seekers (21.18%). various experience seekers (12.77%), noverlty learning seekers (22.46%) and want-it-all (16.55%). Socio-demographic characteristics and tourism behaviors of each segmentation were also analyzed. The findings should be of interest to practitioners of responsible tourism marketing and operation.

노인의 관광경험이 삶의 질에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Tourism Experience on the Quality of Life of the Elderly)

  • 본 연구에서는 노인들의 관광경험이 삶에 질에 미치는 영향관계를 구조방정식모형을 이용하여 알아보았다. 연구의 조사대상은 제주지역에 거주하는 65세 이상으로 총 209부의 설문 내용이 분석에 활용되었다. 연구 결과, 관광경험은 '가족', '사회', '건강', '심리적', '물질적', '여가' 삶의 영역 만족에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 또한, '가족', '건강', '심리적', '여가' 삶의 영역에 만족은 전반적인 삶의 만족에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나, '사회', '물질적' 삶의 영역 만족은 전반적 삶의 만족에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 밝혀졌다.

  • The purpose of this study is to highlight the importance of relationship marketing which has been developed as an alternative way of handling marketing in family restaurants. This study focused on the consumers' behavior - mainly their switching behavior and loyalty toward relationship marketing activities exercised by from family restaurants. 269 usable questionnaires were collected from customers patronizing three family style restaurants in Seoul. Several statistical methods were used including descriptive analysis, reliability test, covariance analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and covariance structural analysis. The result drawn from empirical test proved that relationship marketing activities actually are the significant determinants of relationship quality and thus to the customers' behaviors toward the restaurants they patronize. Managerial implications can be drawn from the result findings that restaurant companies can identify the activities of relationship marketing to continue the long-term relationship with their customers. Also restaurant companies can use the activities of relationship marketing as differentiating strategies, and allocate their resources into the activities of relationship marketing.

패밀리 레스토랑의 서비스 스케이프 및 이미지 포지셔닝 맵에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Servicescape and Image Positioning Map in the Family Restaurant Industry)

  • The growth of foodservice industry has caused keen competition in the family restaurant industry. For a differentiation strategy to be competitive, on the preferential basis, it is necessary for each family restaurant business to analyze its position in the market. Therefore, this study is to certify customers' perceived servicescape and image similarity and analyzes positioning of seven family restaurants. For this research, multidimensional scaling(MDS) is performed to determine how they are positioned relative to competitors. According to the result of the positioning map(ALSCAL and PROFIT map), it is found that Outback steakhouse, T.G.I. Friday's, Bennigans' have more strong competitiveness than VIPS, Marche and Sizzler in servicescape factors and restaurant selection attribute except menu diversity. But the preference order does not follow the order of competitiveness. This result from the positioning map means that each business needs various marketing strategies that cannot be copied easily.

농촌관광에 있어서 관광동기와 만족이 충성도에 미치는 구조관계 분석: 성별의 조절효과 (Structural Relationships among Rural Tourism Motivation, Satisfaction, and Loyalty Including the Moderating Effects of Gender)

  • Gender is frequently being identified as a key moderator in consumer behavior studies. However, there has been insufficient studies in this field in rural tourism areas. The purpose of this study examined the structural relationships among rural tourism motivation, satisfaction, and loyalty including the moderating effect of gender. Data were collected from 442 farmstay visitors by field survey in rural areas. SPSS 15.0 and LISREL 8.80 statistical package were used to analyze the data. Principle component analysis and path analysis were carried out to identify the structural relationships. Results showed that refreshment and family togetherness of tourism motivation had a negative effect on satisfaction. However, rural life of tourism motivation had a positive effect on satisfaction. Tourists' satisfaction had a positive effect on loyalty. The results also indicated that gender moderated the relationship among tourism motivation, satisfaction, and loyalty. The study suggested that it was important for tourism service marketers to develop proactive relationship marketing techniques that could have a lasting impact on customer retention.

지역축제 방문동기의 만족영향 요인 -관여도 조절효과 - (Motivational Factors Influencing Visitors' Satisfaction - Moderating Effects on Tourism Involvement -)

  • Tourism motivation and involvement are important variables influencing visitors satisfaction. The study aims to identify the factors influencing visitors' satisfaction. Particularly, the study examine the moderating effects on tourism involvement between tourism motivation and visitors' satisfaction. Data were collected from 430 usable questionnaires among visitors of Gigisi local festival. Results of a factor analysis yielded three dimensions of tourism motivation which are family and local food, recreation and escape, and social factor. Results show that social factors among three dimensions of sense of community have significance for visitors satisfaction. And tourism involvement has a negative interactional effects as a moderator between recreation and escape motivation and involvement. It means that even though higher recreation and escape motivation, less likely to have visitors satisfaction if visitors have higher involvement in local festival. It was suggested that tourism motivation and involvement should be considered in local festival management and policy.
