자아성취감과 몰입 매개요인을 통한 모바일게임 만족도 영향요인의 실증적 연구 (An Empirical Study on Influencing Factors of Mobile Game Satisfaction through Mediating Factors of Self-fulfillment and Flow)

  • The objective of this study is to extract affecting factors on game satisfaction of a mobile game through the two mediated variables, self-fulfillment and flow. To apply mobile environment changed into the research model of a mobile game, we classify independent factors into three types such as system characteristics, cognitive characteristics, and individual characteristics. The previous studies for using mobile game have been based on intrinsic motivation, such as flow, as a mediated factor. However, the flow variable has some limitations in explaining user satisfaction aspects of mobile game, and the self-fulfillment variable is popularly used as an important mediated factor in the field of sports science. Because users of mobile game often attain their goals as sports event, we utilize self-fulfillment as well as flow as mediated variables. We developed a research model that includes independent factors, mediated variables of self-fulfillment and flow, and a dependent variable of game satisfaction. The data were collected from 438 users of mobile game and were used for analysis. Based on the survey results, we found the followings: (1) Immediate connectivity, enjoyment, relationship, early adopter tendency, and competitiveness affect self-fulfillment, and self-fulfillment affects the flow. (2) Enjoyment and competitiveness affect self-fulfillment, flow, and game satisfaction simultaneously.

온라인 게임 서비스품질이 고객만족도와 충성도에 미치는 영향분석 (Effects of Online Game Service Quality on Customer Satisfaction and Loyalty)

  • The considerable progress of IT industry has changed the industrial structure and lifestyle of our society. One of the remarkable fields of IT industry is online game industry. It showed rapid growth for the past decade. But in recent years online game industry faced with the limit of its growth for a number of reasons. To overcome such situation, online game companies should improve functions of game and analyze their customer's needs for sustainable growth through increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty. The purpose of the study is to investigate and evaluate the factors of online game service quality and the relation of customer satisfaction and loyalty. SPSS 14.0 and AMOS 7.0 are used for experimental research. Through reliability and validity test, service quality factors influencing the customer satisfaction are appeared to be 5 latent variables(reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, tangibles). In addition, by structural equation model and covariance structural model, the result showed that empathy is the most influenced factor to customer satisfaction and customer satisfaction has positive effect on customer loyalty. The results of this research have important implications for explaining an mechanism for service quality of online game, customer satisfaction and loyalty and they might provide operational guidelines to the online game service company.

게임개발 전략 수립을 위한 게임만족도 평가시스템 모형 개발에 관한 연구 (An Assessment System Model for Game Satisfaction Degree to Establish Game Development Strategy)

  • 게임제작의 궁극적인 목적은 수요자가 만족하는 게임을 개발하여 최대한 많이 판매하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 게임 공급자나 수요자가 희망하는 높은 만족도를 갖는 게임을 제작 및 개발할 수 있는 근거를 마련하기 위하여 게임만족도를 정량적으로 평가할 수 있는 평가 시스템 모형을 제안하였다. 이를 위하여 설문조사를 통해 얻은 자료를 토대로 게임개발 구성요소들의 중요도를 AHP 방법으로 산출하여 장르별 게임 만족도를 스코어로 정량화시켰다. 또한, 구조방정식모형을 이용하여 게임 만족도에 직접적으로 영향을 미치는 요인의 내용과 그 크기를 분석하였다. 그 결과 게임 만족도에 직접적으로 영향을 미치는 가장 큰 요인은 흥미성으로 평가 되었다. 따라서 높은 만족도를 갖는 게임을 제작 및 개발하기 위해서는 우선적으로 게임의 흥미성 요인에 대한 적극적인 투자와 기술력 확보가 필요함을 제시하였다.

Analyses of the Structural Relationships between College Students' Perceived Game Realism, Flow and Learning Satisfaction in Game-Based Learning

  • Perceived game realism (PGR) has recently emerged as a key concept in explaining the mental processing of digital game playing and the societal impact of digital games. However, few studies have examined its conceptualization and educational effects from an empirical viewpoint, especially in educational games. This study's participants included 292 university students in South Korea. A total of 212 questionnaires were valid and used for the analyses. They learned English expressions using a computer-based educational game and then completed questionnaires on the research variables. We investigated six factors of PGR: simulational realism (SIR), freedom of choice (FRC), perceptual pervasiveness (PEP), social realism (SOR), authenticity (AUT), and character involvement (CAI). We expected the factors to have valid effects on the university students' flow and learning satisfaction after a game-based learning (GBL) experience. Our research results demonstrated a causal relationship between SIR, FRC, CAI, and learning satisfaction. Furthermore, the indirect effects of SIR and CAI on learning satisfaction through flow were statistically significant.

게임요소의 만족도분포 추정에 관한 연구 (On the Estimation of Satisfaction Distribution for Game Factors)

  • 게임 완성도 향상 및 수출 증가 등 게임산업 경쟁력 강화를 위해서 수요자들의 게임만족도가 일정한 수준에 도달해야 되며 이를 위하여 기존 또는 향후 개발되는 게임들의 만족도가 어느 정도 되는지를 평가할 수 있는 연구가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 게임산업의 경쟁력과 부가가치를 높이기 위한 방안으로 게임만족도 요소들의 점수분포를 추정하는 방법을 연구하였다. 그리고 온라인 RPG 게임을 대상으로 얻은 설문자료에 근거하여 SAS/INSIGHT의 모수적 밀도함수 추정방법을 이용하여 만족도 요소들의 점수분포를 각각 정규분포로 추정하였다. 제안된 방법을 활용하여 기존 또는 향후 개발되는 게임들의 만족도 수준과 기준을 예측할 수 있는 기대효과를 얻을 수 있다.

모바일 게임에 대한 몰입과 만족도에 미치는 영향요인 연구 (A Study on the Factors Affecting Game Flow and Satisfaction in Mobile Game)

  • Purpose Research purpose is extraction of the factors affecting game flow and satisfaction in mobile game. Design/methodology/approach In mobile game, the factors affecting game flow were classified into three parts: mobile game platform characteristics, user cognition characteristics, and user individual characteristics through previous studies for existing online game and mobile game. In the research we extracted the factors as follows: the connectivity, usability, network speed, pleasure, service quality, relatedness, proficiency, self-fulfillment, early adopter tendency, and competitive spirit. Using the factors, we established research model and tested hypotheses empirically. This survey was conducted five months targeting from teenagers to fifties with mobile game experience. The questionnaire items were reconstructed according to the questionnaires of the present study or those newly developed by the game experts and total 56 items in the literature of Internet game, smartphone game, and mobile game based on the existing literature study respectively. Findings According to the analysis result, this study showed that ease of use, enjoyment, self - fulfillment and competitive spirit had a significant influence on user flow and also that service quality, proficiency and competitive spirit had a significant influence on user satisfaction in mobile games.

가족기능, 부모-자녀 의사소통, 가족만족도와 청소년의 게임사용간의 상관성 (Family Function, Parent-Child Communication, and Family Satisfaction Influencing Game Use among Korean Adolescents)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to explore the influential factors of family function, parent-child communication, and family satisfaction on Korean adolescents game use. Methods: The participants were 940 adolescents in Seoul. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data. The study variables were family function, parent-child communication, family satisfaction, and game use. Results: Game use was different by gender, age, time to spend in game during weekdays and weekend. Game use had significant negative correlations with family cohesion, family adaptability, communication with father, communication with mother, and family satisfaction. Multiple regression analysis showed that 20.3% of the game use was explained by gender, communication with mother, hours of playing games during weekdays, family adaptability, and hours of playing games during weekend. Conclusions: These results suggest that being male and lack of communication with mother, low family adaptability, game hours during weekdays and weekend can be potential risk factors for excessive game use in the adolescents, which should by considered in developing a prevention program for excessive game use focused on family factors.

MOBA 게임 뉴시즌 Update를 위한 게임 만족 및 밸런스 연구 (A Study on Game Satisfaction and Game Balance of MOBA Game in New Season Update)

  • The MOBA game is updated every year with a new season, the new season update brings fun to the game users and also makes them feel unfamiliar with the new gameplay. In order to let game users better adapt to the new season, this study will extract the new season balance evaluation factors. Firstly, we used one-on-one review to collect the unbalanced factors that game users had encountered at the beginning of the new season of the MOBA game, and secondly, we organized the collected review data into a questionnaire and conducted a survey. The first step of the experiment was to filter out the lower factors through exploratory factor analysis and extract the balance evaluation factors of the MOBA game new season. The second step of the experiment was to examine the correlation between the factors through confirmatory factor analysis, as well as to confirm the appropriateness and explanatory value of the factors. The analysis resulted in "Game character experience", "Game view's expression", "Game level", and "Composition of the game setting" are the four factors. Finally, through correlation analysis, the most relevant factor for game satisfaction is the "Game character experience", and each factor is correlated with each other.

온라인게임 이용자들의 만족도에 영향을 미치는 주요 요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of Critical Factors on Consumer Satisfaction of Online Game Users)

  • 온라인게임에 관한 대다수의 연구들은 주로 심리학자들에 의한 인터넷 중독과 과학자들에 의한 관련기술의 개발에 관해 수행되어왔다. 온라인 비즈니스 모델의 관점에서 고객만족을 연구한 논문은 드문 편이다. 본 연구의 목적은 온라인게임 이용자들을 대상으로 고객만족과 주요 요인들 간의 인과관계를 조사하는 것이다. 이를 위해 연구모델은 고객만족에 영향을 미치는 주요 요인들을 규명하기 위해 상호작용, 즐거움, 도전, 보상, 디자인의 개념을 이용하였다. 연구결과 상호작용, 즐거움, 도전 요인이 온라인게임 이용자들의 고객만족에 유의한 영향을 미치는 요인으로 규명되었다. 온라인게임 이용자들의 만족도에 영향을 미치는 주요 요인에 관한 연구는 지속적으로 논의되고 있다.

FPS게임에서 쾌감의 구성 요소 창출과 선호도 상관관계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Correlation about Creating Component of Pleasure and Satisfaction on FPS Game)

  • 재미학(funology)을 기반으로 재미학, 프로이드의 쾌감이론, 칙센트미하이의 몰입(Flow)이론, 윌리엄 글라써 욕망이론, 아브라함 매슬로우 욕구이론, 로제카이와의 놀이 분류 이론 을 통해 쾌감요소를 추출하였다. 이렇게 추출된 쾌감 요소를 게임에 직접적으로 대입하여 온라인 1인칭 슈팅(First-Person Shooter, FPS) 게임에서 1차적으로 필요한 쾌감요소로 재 추출하였다. 그리고 온라인 FPS게임 전문가 인터뷰를 통해 쾌감의 구성 요소를 2차로 정리 하였고 3차로 유명 국내 온라인 4개(서든 어택, 카운터스트라이크, 아바, 팀 포트리스2)에 대해 전문가의 인터뷰를 실시하여 빈도 분석을 통해 쾌감의 구성 요소를 압축 하여 추출 하였다. 이 데이터를 기반으로 게임 조작적 정리 방법을 사용하여 가설을 세웠고, 그 가설을 증명하기 위해 설문 조사를 실시해서 얻은 데이터를 SAS라는 통계 패키지를 이용해서 쾌감요인들인 종속변수와 선호도인 독립변수인 회귀 분석 식을 사용하여 쾌감의 구성요소와 게임선호도의 상관관계를 증명하였다. 이상 결과를 종합하여 보면, 온라인 FPS게임에서 쾌감 요소는 게임을 더욱 몰입하게 만들고 오래 지속적으로 게임을 즐기게 만드는 요소로써 상관관계가 있다는 것을 논리적으로 파악 할 수 있는데, 온라인 FPS게임에 대해서 고유한 특징 구조 및 인간의 쾌감에 대해서 이론적으로, 경험적으로 심층 분석 한 요소 정리가 부족한 현실에서 본 연구는 게임 연구나 개발에 중요한 근거를 제시 할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
