체험학습을 통한 고등학생의 방사선 인식 변화에 대한 고찰 (Consideration on the Perception Change for Radiation of High School Students through an Experiencing Program)

  • 우리나라 원자력 산업은 일본 후쿠시마 원전 사고로 큰 타격을 받았다. 대부분의 사람들은 TV, 인터넷 등 대중매체를 통해 발표되는 사고 및 사건에 관련된 내용으로 인하여 원자력 및 방사선에 대한 부정적인 인식을 갖고 있다. 특히, 우리나라 학생들은 정규 교육과정에서 거의 원자력 및 방사선을 배우지 않고 있다. 본 연구에서는 대전 지역 일반 고등학생을 대상으로 방사선 체험학습 프로그램을 수행하고 이를 통한 방사선에 대한 개념과 위험성 인식의 변화를 설문조사 방식으로 파악하고자 하였다. 그 결과 다수의 학생들은 체험학습을 통하여 방사선에 대한 개념을 정립하는 한편 일부 학생들의 인식이 긍정적으로 변화된 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 사실을 바탕으로 학생들을 대상으로 방사선에 대하여 바르게 알리고 이해시키기 위하여 보다 개선된 설문조사 방식의 개발과 이를 활용한 다양한 방사선 관련 체험학습이 개발되어야 할 것이며, 방사선 안전에 대한 교육과 홍보가 상호보완적으로 수행될 수 있는 방안이 모색되어야 할 것이다.

놀이 중심 자기표현 훈련 프로그램이 자기표현 및 학습태도에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Play-Based Assert ive Training Program on Self-expression and Learning Attitude)

  • The object of this study is to inspect how much influence the play-based assertive training program has on the self-expression and learning attitude of elementary students. To perform this study, I set up two subjects of research. First, does the play-based assertive training program have influence on the self-expression improvement of elementary students? Second, does the play-based assertive training program have influence on the attitude of elementary students? I established 28 students in the third grade of K elementary school in Gongju City as experiment group for this research. In experiment group, 1 peformed play-based assertive training program in the class of discretion and extra-curricula activity twice a week and maintained the program for 6 weeks. By the standard of 12 times of performances, I put pre-test and post-test into operation. The major consequences revealed through above processes are followed: First, as the consequence of analyses of differences between pre-test and post-test about self-expression of experiment group adapted by play-using assertion training program, the level of self-expression was advanced meaningfully. Second, as the consequences of analyses of differences between pre-test and post-test about learning-attitude of experiment group adapted by play-based assertive training program, the level of learning-attitude was advanced meaningfully. Among 8 sub-fields of learning attitude, the field of superiority, accomplishment motives, concentration, self-study show statistically meaningful difference s respectively. The conclusion drawn from above consequences is that the play-based assertive training program is very effective in developing students' self-expression and attitude for learning.

충북대학교 학생들의 학생생활·교육경험 실태분석 (A Study on the Students' Life and Educational Experiences at Chungbuk National University)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 충북대학교 대학생들의 학생생활과 교육경험 인식조사를 통해 대학 만족의 정도를 도출하여, 대학 교육의 질향상을 위한 정책결정을 이끌어냄과 실태분석의 발전적 방향 모색에 있다. 연구 과정에서 드러난 몇 가지 시사점들을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 충북대학교 학생들은 자신들의 팀과제수행능력이나 인터넷활용능력을 높게 평가하는 반면에 자신들의 외국어 능력이 부족하다고 인식하고 있으며, 대학생활을 통해서도 외국어 실력과 관련해서는 교육성과가 상대적으로 낮다고 인식하고 있다. 취업과 관련하여 자신의 논리적 사고능력, 개성, 적극성 등을 높게 평가하고 있는 반면, 사회봉사, 해외연수, 인턴체험 등 자신의 취업관련경험에 대해서는 낮게 평가하고 있다. 장학금, 아르바이트, 교육 성과와의 관계 분석에서 언급하였듯이 학생의 경제적 수입원의 종류 및 비율에 관한 문항이 추가될 필요가 있다. 이를 통해 학생들의 재정 상태와 관련한 정보를 보다 정교화할 수 있을 것이며, 이는 교육 성과 관련 변인 탐색 등 다양한 연구에서 활용될 수 있다. 또한 학생 유형화 연구에서 언급하였듯이, 학생들의 협력 학습, 교수와의 관계, 다양한 배경의 동료와의 협력, 다양한 교육 현장의 경험과 같은 문항들이 추가될 필요가 있다. 이를 통해 정규 교육과정 이외의 영역에서 학생들이 어떤 교육경험을 하고 있는지에 관한 정보를 보다 풍부하게 할 수 있다.

대학 구성원 인식에 기초한 MOOC 개발 활용 전략 연구 (A Study on the MOOC Development and Utilization Strategies based on Recognitions of University Members)

  • 본 연구는 대학 교수-학습의 주체자인 학생과 교수의 온라인 대중공개강좌(MOOC)에 대한 인식에 기초하여 개발 및 활용 전략을 탐색한 것이다. 대학 구성원 모두 MOOC의 기본 개념인 개방, 공유, 참여에 대해 긍정적으로 인식하였으며, MOOC에 대한 이해와 인식 수준은 학부생과 대학원생이 매우 낮은 반면 교수는 그에 비해 상대적으로 높았다. 대학 교육과정의 혁신과 고유 콘텐츠의 확산 목적의 MOOC이 인문학, 자연과학, 사회과학, 기술공학, 예체능 영역의 강좌가 개발되길 원했다. 대학의 학습 주체자인 학부생들은 MOOC이 교양 교육과정 이수나타분야 기초 학습, 비교과 과정으로 이수할 수 있길 원했고, 평생 학습자인 대학원생은 지역시민의 평생교육 강화를 위해 MOOC이 개발 활용되길 원했다. 고품질 교육의 제공자이자 평생 학습자인 교수는 대학교육의 혁신과 고유 콘텐츠의 확산을 목적으로 해당 전공 과정의 심화학습에 MOOC이 활용되기를 원했다. 앞으로 대학은 다양한 MOOC 개발을 지원하고 이수체계를 정립하여 고도화된 고품질 온라인 교육 서비스를 제공해야 할 것이다.

한국과 일본 유치원의 공간구성 실태 비교 (A Comparative Study on Space Organization of Kindergarten in Korea and Japan)

  • 본 연구는 한국과 일본 유치원의 공간조사 및 비교분석을 통해 향후 한국 공립유치원의 바람직한 공간구성 방향의 기초를 마련하는 것을 목적으로 진행되었다. 유치원 공간구성의 최근 경향을 조사하기 위해 최근 5년간 신축되거나 리모델링된 유치원을 추천 받아 시설도면, 실태조사 자료를 바탕으로 "진입 및 배치, 옥외공간", "스페이스프로그램", "평면구조 및 단위공간계획"으로 구분하여 비교분석을 실시하였다. 결론적으로 공간의 구성형태, 배치형태, 실 면적, 면적구성 비율 등 공간 조직의 관점에서 한국과 일본 유치원은 유사성이 매우 많았으나, 대지면적과 옥외면적에 있어서 일본 유치원이 한국 유치원보다 대지면적은 $11.89m^2$, 체육장을 포함한 옥외면적은 $9.75m^2$(유아1인 기준) 만큼 더 많은 공간을 확보하고 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 또한 일본의 유치원은 "아뜰리에" 및 "PTA"와 같은 특성화된 공간 확보를 통해 다양한 교육활동 및 교육지원을 실시하는 것으로 조사되었다. 상기의 연구결과를 바탕으로 한국 유치원의 시설개선을 위한 구체적인 모형 및 지침 등이 개발되어야 할 것이다.

성별에 따른 학령후기 아동의 건강증진행위 비교연구 (Health Promoting Behaviors among 6th Grade Students According to Sex)

  • This study is the study on health promoting behaviors of 6th grade students according to sex. The purpose of this study is to find the difference in the value of health in their lives among 6/sup th/ grade students according to sex, to examine the differences in practicing health promoting behaviors, and to determine the correlation between the practice of health promoting behaviors and the characteristics of these students. The subjects of this study were 177 6/sup th/ grade students who were randomly selected from two elementary schools in Taegu City. The tools used to measure health promoting behaviors were the measuring utility for practicing health promoting behaviors developed by Kyung-Suk Ki (1983) and the utility for the values of health in lives developed by Wallston, Maides and Wallston and translated by Gin Yoon (1989). The data collected were analyzed with t-test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and descriptive statistics using SPSS program. The results of the present study were as follows : 1) According to the results of the value placed in health in their lives, the number of students who placed health high in their lives was 69 boys (75%) and 64 girls (75.3%). 2) According to the results obtained from comparing the degree of practicing health promoting behaviors according to sex, in the field of personal hygiene and daily habits, the girls showed a higher degree of practice with 3.26±0.33 and the boys, 3.05±0.45(t=-3.484, p=0.001) : and in the field of contagious diseases, the girls scored significantly higher with 3.40±0.39 than the boys with 2.99±0.54(t=-2.363, p=0.019). In the filed of preventing accidents, the girls showed a meaning high significant result with 3.16±0.46 than the boys with 2.99±0.54(t=-2.362, p=0.019). When the results from the total questions in the field of health promoting behaviors were compared, the girls showed a meaningfully high correlation with 3.19±0.28 than the boys with 3.07±0.36(t=-2.601, p=0.010). Thus, the results showed that the girls, compares with the boys, practice more behaviors of personal hygiene & daily habits, prevention of communicable diseases, and prevention of accidents. 3) According to the results of the relationship between the subjects’ characteristics and their health promoting behaviors according to set in the case of the boys, they showed a meaningful positive correlation with health promoting behaviors and the current status of health (r=0.266, p=0.005). Thus, for the boys, as their health status was better, the more health promoting behaviors they showed. In the case of the girls, the meaningful variables had a correlation with the health promoting behaviors were the number of extra-curricula activities(r=0.182, p=0.047) and the birth order(r=-0.192, p=0. 024). In overall regardless of sex, the health status (r=0.188, p=0.006) and birth order(r=-0.149, p=0.024) showed a meaningful correlation with practicing health promoting behaviors. With the above results, we suggest the following proposals. 1) In elementary children of lower and upper classmen as applied with the current school age, developing a utility to measure health promoting behaviors is needed since the physical, emotional and intellectual development of these children exist. 2) According to the results of this study, developing a program for health promotion is needed in 6/sup th/ grade students.

용용과 모델 구성을 중시하는 수학과 교육 과정 개발 방안 탐색

  • This study intends to provide some desirable suggestions for the development of application oriented mathematics curriculum. More specific objects of this study is: 1. To identify the meaning of application and modelling in mathematics curriculm. 2. To illuminate the historical background of and trends in application and modelling in the mathematics curricula. 3. To consider the reasons for including application and modelling in the mathematics curriculum. 4. To find out some implication for developing application oriented mathematics curriculum. The meaning of application and modelling is clarified as follows: If an arbitrary area of extra-mathematical reality is submitted to any kind of treatment which invovles mathematical concepts, methods, results, topics, we shall speak of the process of applying mathemtaics to that area. For the result of the process we shall use the term an application of mathematics. Certain objects, relations between them, and structures belonging to the area under consideration are selected and translated into mathemtaical objects, relation and structures, which are said to represent the original ones. Now, the concept of mathematical model is defined as the collection of mathematical objcets, . relations, structures, and so on, irrespective of what area is being represented by the model and how. And the full process of constructing a mathematical model of a given area is called as modelling, or model-building. During the last few decades an enormous extension of the use of mathemtaics in other disciplines has occurred. Nowadays the concept of a mathematical model is often used and interest has turned to the dynamic interaction between the real world and mathematics, to the process translating a real situation into a mathematical model and vice versa. The continued growing importance of mathematics in everyday practice has not been reflected to the same extent in the teaching and learning of mathematics in school. In particular the world-wide 'New Maths Movement' of the 19608 actually caused a reduction of the importance of application and modelling in mathematics teaching. Eventually, in the 1970s, there was a reaction to the excessive formallism of 'New Maths', and a return in many countries to the importance of application and connections to the reality in mathematics teaching. However, the main emphasis was put on mathematical models. Applicaton and modelling should be part of the mathematics curriculum in order to: 1. Convince students, who lacks visible relevance to their present and future lives, that mathematical activities are worthwhile, and motivate their studies. 2. Assist the acqusition and understanding of mathematical ideas, concepts, methods, theories and provide illustrations and interpretations of them. 3. Prepare students for being able to practice application and modelling as private individuals or as citizens, at present or in the future. 4. Foster in students the ability to utilise mathematics in complex situations. Of these four reasons the first is rather defensive, serving to protect or strengthen the position of mathematics, whereas the last three imply a positive interest in application and modelling for their own sake or for their capacity to improve mathematics teaching. Suggestions, recomendations and implications for developing application oriented mathematics curriculum were made as follows: 1. Many applications and modelling case studies suitable for various levels should be investigated and published for the teacher. 2. Mathematics education both for general and vocational students should encompass application and modelling activities, of a constructive as well as analytical and critical nature. 3. Application and modelling activities should. be introduced in mathematics curriculum through the interdisciplinary integrated approach. 4. What are the central ideas of, and what are less-important topics of application-oriented curriculum should be studied and selected. 5. For any mathematics teacher, application and modelling should form part of pre- and in-service education.
