Recently, for detection of low-RCS targets, bistatic radar and multistatic radar have been widely employed. In this paper, we present the process of deriving the received signal modeling of the bistatic MIMO radar system and deals with the performance analysis of applying the bistatic signal to the ML arrival angle estimation algorithm. In case of the ML algorithm, as the number of the targets increases, azimuth search dimension for DOA estimation also increases, which implies that the ML algorithm for multiple targets is computationally very intensive. To solve this problem a closed-form expression of estimation error is presented for performance analysis of the algorithm.

Performance of two vapor pressure correlation equations in a polynomial expression is compared. These are the Wagner-type equation and the Inverted form equation. The equations are fitted to correlate the data in the ASHRAE tables and from NIST Chemistry WebBook for 17 pure substances. Some observations on the exponents in the two polynomial equations are made, which results in a proposal of a new closed form vapor pressure equation. The new equation yields the accuracy comparable to that of the Wagner-type equation and better than that of the Inverted form equation.

Visual trope is one of the important appealing methods of creativity to induce voluntary consumer participation. In many cases, it delivers a message using metaphors. To define the concepts of_metaphor, we investigated methods of expression and significance of metaphor itself and associated forms; in all: metaphor, analogy, catachresis, metonymy, and synecdoche. We also considered the structure of each form to propose a method of metricizing the metaphor Consequently, we found that the metaphor of a visual trope is a type of operation and development of codes. We suggested models for each form type and concept of metaphor through the evaluation of metaphor significance and case study. Metaphor significance forms mutually close relationships with codes of pragmatics, semantics, and syntax. We suggested a type of metrics or a guideline for an expression method and evaluation of a visual trope appropriate for a metaphor form type. Therefore and importantly, the following study presents unique, but manifold results that are also useful in the field of design.

Dietary inorganic sulfur is the minor component in our diet, but some studies suggested that inorganic sulfur is maybe effective to treat cancer related illness. Therefore, this study aims to examine the effects of inorganic sulfur on cell proliferation and gene expression in MDA-MB-231 human breast cancer cells. MDA-MB-231 cells were cultured the absence or presence of various concentrations (12.5, 25, or 50 ${\mu}mol/L$) of inorganic sulfur. Inorganic sulfur significantly decreased proliferation after 72 h of incubation (P < 0.05). The protein expression of $ErbB_2$ and its active form, $pErbB_2$, were significantly reduced at inorganic sulfur concentrations of 50 ${\mu}mol/L$ and greater than 25 ${\mu}mol/L$, respectively (P < 0.05). The mRNA expression of $ErbB_2$ was significantly reduced at an inorganic sulfur concentration of 50 ${\mu}mol/L$ (P < 0.05). The protein expression of $ErbB_3$ and its active form, $pErbB_3$, and the mRNA expression of $pErbB_3$ were significantly reduced at inorganic sulfur concentrations greater than 25 ${\mu}mol/L$ (P < 0.05). The protein and mRNA expression of Akt were significantly reduced at an inorganic sulfur concentration of 50 ${\mu}mol/L$ (P < 0.05), but pAkt was not affected by inorganic sulfur treatment. The protein and mRNA expression of Bax were significantly increased with the addition of inorganic sulfur concentration of 50 ${\mu}mol/L$ (P < 0.05). In conclusion, cell proliferation was suppressed by inorganic sulfur treatment through the ErbB-Akt pathway in MDA-MB-231 cells.

This research searched characteristic of expression of Surrealism in Fashion Art which is new genre as source of design origination and classified as type of Time, Instinct, Existence and analyzed these and after analyzed result, it tried to verify the value aesthetically and followed by compared characteristic of expression in Surrealism appeared in Art based on content of type of expression that deduced and discussed it. Also comparing common characteristic appeared in Fashion Art in surrealism of the east and the west, it suggested discussion that try to find out identity that draw more near to Fashion Art. Results of research are as following these; Surrealist deliver sentiment and emotion that impossible to happen in reality and primitive thought by combination of unrealistic image and this tendency concreted by expression of Time, Expression of Instinct, expression of Existence. It appeared that deconstruct function and purpose of Fashion Art and existing traditional beauty of form and it is in collusion with way of expression of modelling used in Art of Surrealism those are Irregularity, Disorder, Imperfection and Dissymmetry.

Based on the perception of Maurice Merleau Ponty, This study defines that Moving is a form lively to experience meaning, pleasure as the aesthetic attribute structured to a product, expression and value are synthesized into. The purpose of study is to argue that Wearable, Ubiquitous, Interaction, Play, D, I, Y, Universal, Ecology are the forms, modalities that the moving is variously subjected to the product design. Above This is the result reasoned according to analogical form as below between the moving and all design forms. First, The moving as the aesthetic expression and value are synthesized into is the intrinsic, general proposition, maxim for the value judgement. Second, All design forms are the cases which the values based on the aesthetic expression system are subjected to Third, Thus All design forms are the modalities of the aesthetic expression based on the values. The certainty of this judgement, reasoning is the proof that the correspondence between the moving as the aesthetic expression and design form is the fact. That is to say, It is the proof that Users lively experience the aesthetic meaning, pleasure in fact as the aesthetic values are subjected to all design forms. The lived experience of each user in their daily life itself is the only method or assurance for this. The moving integrates the existence of a product and what should be of users into the aesthetic dimension and at the same time, is realized based on this. The emphasized theme in all cases of this study is not the product but the moving. So, The product design is changed into the action which structures the moving like above to a product.

In this paper, a low-power 8-point DCT structure is proposed using add and shift operations. Proposed structure adopts 4 cycles for complete 8-point DCT in order to minimize size of hardware and to enable high-speed processing. In the structure, hardware for the first cycle can be shared in the next 3 cycles since all columns in the DCT coefficient matrix are common except sign. Conventional DCT structures implemented with only add and shift operation use CSD(Canonic Signed Digit) form coefficients to reduce the number of adders. To reduce the number of adders further, we propose a new structure using common sub-expression sharing techniques. With this techniques, the proposed 8-point DCT structure achieves 19.5% adder reduction comparison to the conventional structure using only CSD coefficient form.

The purpose of this study was to analyze a theoretical frame of expressional area, the characteristics and the effects which is applied to fashion illustration by metonymic theory. The theoretical frame of expressional area was analyzed by category analysis and 150 fashion illustrations from 1900 to 1999 were analyzed by contents analysis. The results of this study were as follows: The expressions of metonymy were categorized by close-up, realistic expression, omission, borrowing of past style, simplification and deconstruction. First, close-up was presented as emphasis of small part of fashion by cutting the scenes, snapshot, emphasis, etc. Second, realistic expression was presented as description of related circumstance with fashion message through perspective and realistic description of circumstance related to figures. Third, omission was presented as seeking of essential core by removing color, pattern, texture or by omitting body and as emphasis of communication about dominant fashion message. Fourth, borrowing of past style was presented as reminding us of background of the past. Fifth, simplification was presented as using of form or color to alleviate tension of object and to restore the essential reality. Sixth, deconstruction was presented as fragmenting of image, flattening of body and clothing, weakness of form, and strength of color. In conclusion, metonymy made by experience system of thinking based on the reality, have extended expressional territory in pre-existing fashion illustration. And these ways not only will provide fashion image as illustrator's subjective intention and theoretical system of expression of message, but also will be useful way to strengthen communication for easier interpretation of fashion illustration.
