In this paper we investigate the problem of exponential asymptotic stability (EAS) in perturbed nonlinear systems of the differential system x' = f(t, x). Also, a simple method for constructing Liapunov functions is used to prove a kind of Massera type converse theorem.

This paper addresses the Bayesian hypotheses testing for the comparison of exponential population under type II censoring. In Bayesian testing problem, conventional Bayes factors can not typically accommodate the use of noninformative priors which are improper and are defined only up to arbitrary constants. To overcome such problem, we use the recently proposed hypotheses testing criterion called the intrinsic Bayes factor. We derive the arithmetic, expected and median intrinsic Bayes factors for our problem. The Monte Carlo simulation is used for calculating intrinsic Bayes factors which are compared with P-values of the classical test.

In this paper, the inferences of data obtained from periodic inspection and type I censoring for the step-stress accelerated life test are studied. The exponential distribution with a failure rate function that a log-linear function of stress and the tampered failure rate model are considered. The maximum likelihood estimators of the model parameters are estimated and also the optimal stress change time which minimize the asymptotic variance of maximum likelihood estimators of parameters is determined. A numerical example will be given to illustrate the proposed inferential procedures and the sensitivity of the asymptotic variance of the estimated mean by the guessed parameters is investigated.

In this paper, a optimal designing methodology is proposed to determine the parameters for skip-lot sampling plan of type SkSP-2 plan with double sampling plan as reference plan, when the lifetime of the product follows generalized exponential distribution. The two points on the operating characteristic curve approach are used to find the optimal parameters for the proposed plan. The plan parameters are determined so as to minimize the average sample number subject to satisfying simultaneously both producer and consumer risks at the acceptable and limiting quality levels respectively.

시간 중도 절단된 지수모형에서 고장이 일어나는 즉시 고장 난 부품들을 새로운 부품들로 대체시키는 방법을 고려하였다. 이때 대체 가능한 개수를 제한하는 조건하에서 부품들의 수명분포가 모두 같은 경우와 모두 같지 않은 일반적인 경우에 대한 모수의 최우추정량을 구하였다. 그리고 모의실험을 통해 대체 가능한 개수를 제한한 경우의 모수에 대한 최우추정량과, 대체개수를 제한하지 않은 경우의 모수에 대한 최우추정량을 평균제곱오차의 관점에서 비교하고, 그 차이가 미세하게 되는 제한된 대체 개수를 제시하였다.

In this paper, we consider two components system which the lifetimes have Marshall and Olkin's bivariate exponential model with bivariate type I censored data. We propose a Bayesian independent test procedure for above model using fractional Bayes factor method by O'Hagan based on improper prior distributions. And we compute the fractional Bayes factor and the posterior probabilities for the hypotheses, respectively. Also we select a hypothesis which has the largest posterior probability. Finally a numerical example is given to illustrate our Bayesian testing procedure.

We investigate surface brightness profiles (SBPs) of dwarf galaxies in field, group, and cluster environments. Using images from the Korea Microlensing Telescope Network (KMTNet) Supernova Program (KSP) for the NGC 2784 group and SDSS for the Virgo cluster, SBP types are classified into profiles with single exponential (Type I), double exponential (Type II and Type III). Type II and Type III have smaller and larger outer sizes than inner sizes, respectively. SBP types of field dwarfs are compiled from a previous study. The distributions of SBP types are different in three environments. After comparing sizes of dwarfs in different environments, we suggest that since sizes of some dwarfs are changed due to the environmental effects, SBP types are able to be transformed. It makes that the distributions of SBP types in three environments are different.

본 연구는 효모세포 (Saccharomyces uvarum)의 ACPase, ALPase의 Isoenzyme type을 규명함과 아울러, iso-enzyme type중 어느 것이 constituitive 또는 repressible enzyme type인가를 조사하고, 각각의 isoenzyme활성도 비율을 살펴보아 배양조건(catabolic repression and derepression) 및 무기인산 제한에 따른 각 type의 세포내 조절기능을 분석하고자 하였다. Acid phosphatase는 또 다른 isoenzyme type이 발견되지 않았으나, alkaline phosphatase의 경우는 3가지 type이 p-NPP에 specificity를 지녔다. 세포질의 수용성단백질 분석결과 exponential phase의 세포는 주로 음전하를 띤 단백질이 높은 함량을 나타내었다. 당과 인산이 결핍된 배지에서 생육권(catabolic repression)세포에서 AL P Pase isoenzyme 중 type “B"의 활성도가 매우 높아졌으나, 완전배지에서 배양된 (catabolic derepression)세포에서는 type “B"의 활성도 감소 및 type “C"의 활성도 증가 현상을 볼 수 있었다. ALPase 중 “A" peak는 constituitive enzyme, “B" peak는 repressible enzyme, peak “C"는 L-histidinol phosphatase로 추정되었다.
