This paper addresses the Bayesian hypotheses testing for the comparison of exponential population under type II censoring. In Bayesian testing problem, conventional Bayes factors can not typically accommodate the use of noninformative priors which are improper and are defined only up to arbitrary constants. To overcome such problem, we use the recently proposed hypotheses testing criterion called the intrinsic Bayes factor. We derive the arithmetic, expected and median intrinsic Bayes factors for our problem. The Monte Carlo simulation is used for calculating intrinsic Bayes factors which are compared with P-values of the classical test.

In this paper, the inferences of data obtained from periodic inspection and type I censoring for the step-stress accelerated life test are studied. The exponential distribution with a failure rate function that a log-linear function of stress and the tampered failure rate model are considered. The maximum likelihood estimators of the model parameters are estimated and also the optimal stress change time which minimize the asymptotic variance of maximum likelihood estimators of parameters is determined. A numerical example will be given to illustrate the proposed inferential procedures and the sensitivity of the asymptotic variance of the estimated mean by the guessed parameters is investigated.

In this paper, a optimal designing methodology is proposed to determine the parameters for skip-lot sampling plan of type SkSP-2 plan with double sampling plan as reference plan, when the lifetime of the product follows generalized exponential distribution. The two points on the operating characteristic curve approach are used to find the optimal parameters for the proposed plan. The plan parameters are determined so as to minimize the average sample number subject to satisfying simultaneously both producer and consumer risks at the acceptable and limiting quality levels respectively.

We consider the estimators for the parameters of the exponential model with limited replacements under the type I censoring scheme. Also, we propose the desirable number of replacements to provide the similar effects in terms of the mean square errors.

In this paper, we consider two components system which the lifetimes have Marshall and Olkin's bivariate exponential model with bivariate type I censored data. We propose a Bayesian independent test procedure for above model using fractional Bayes factor method by O'Hagan based on improper prior distributions. And we compute the fractional Bayes factor and the posterior probabilities for the hypotheses, respectively. Also we select a hypothesis which has the largest posterior probability. Finally a numerical example is given to illustrate our Bayesian testing procedure.

We investigate surface brightness profiles (SBPs) of dwarf galaxies in field, group, and cluster environments. Using images from the Korea Microlensing Telescope Network (KMTNet) Supernova Program (KSP) for the NGC 2784 group and SDSS for the Virgo cluster, SBP types are classified into profiles with single exponential (Type I), double exponential (Type II and Type III). Type II and Type III have smaller and larger outer sizes than inner sizes, respectively. SBP types of field dwarfs are compiled from a previous study. The distributions of SBP types are different in three environments. After comparing sizes of dwarfs in different environments, we suggest that since sizes of some dwarfs are changed due to the environmental effects, SBP types are able to be transformed. It makes that the distributions of SBP types in three environments are different.

The present study was designed to investigate isoenzyme (ACPase, ALPase) pattern and its refulatory function between catabolically repressed and derepressed states in yeast, Saccharomyces uvarum. As the results, no other isoenzyme was detectable in acid phosphatase, but there were three isoenzyme types in aldaline phosphatase. Type "B" isoenzyme among alkaline phosphatases in catabolically repressed cell was derepressed, but in normally cultivated cell, type "C" isoenzyme was derepressed while type "B" activity was lowered. Type "B" isoenzyme could be postulated as repressible enzyme, type "A" as constityityve enzyme and type "C" as L-histidinol phosphatase, respectively, Also, it could be shown that type "B" ALPase, repressible enzyme, compensated for phosphate group supplier under catabolically repressed states. Protein profile in cytoplasmic soluble fraction of exponential phase cell was characterized by negative charged protein.
