휴대전화 설계를 위한 고령자용 인지능력 측정 프로토콜 개발 (Development of Measuring Protocol for Cognitive Ability of Elderly People for Mobile Phone)

  • The purpose of this research is to develop a protocol which can quantitatively evaluate cognitive ability that is needed when elderly people use mobile phone. Since previous methods for measuring the cognitive ability of elderly people was mainly for clinical evaluation, they would not be adequate to measure cognitive ability for mobile phone development. Therefore, this study suggests cognitive areas which are necessary to use the mobile phone based on the existing evaluation tools. The cognitive areas consist of language, visuospatial ability, memory, executive function and perception. New questionnaire was developed to evaluate the individual cognitive ability for the elderly. They include 9 questions for button comprehension test, 8 for icon button comprehension test, 10 for vocabulary comprehension test, 8 for menu comprehension test, 3 for icon size test, and 2 for font size test. The protocol can be used in the field although further modification may be necessary for betterment.

  • PURPOSE: This study investigated the effect of a head-mounted display (HMD) based virtual reality (VR) cognitive rehabilitation program on the cognitive ability and activities of daily living in patients with mild cognitive impairment. METHODS: This study enrolled 5 mild cognitive impairment patients at the G welfare center in Gwangju metropolitan city. Patients were examined using the MMSEDS (Mini mental state examination-dementia screening). The VR cognitive rehabilitation program was applied twice a week for four weeks. The functional independence measure (FIM) and Loewenstein occupational therapy cognitive assessment-geriatric population (LOTCA-G) were compared before and after applying the VR cognitive rehabilitation program. RESULTS: Subsequent of application of the VR cognitive rehabilitation program, significant increase was observed in the LOTCA-G score. The FIM score was also perceived to increase, after the intervention, but was not statistically significant. CONCLUSION: Application of the VR cognitive rehabilitation program as a therapy is effective in improving the visual perception, and upper extremity executive ability, especially orientation, thinking organization, attention, and concentration.

과학영재의 인지특성 및 성격변인이 학업성취도에 미치는 영향 (Cognitive Ability and Personality as Predictors of Academic Performance: Science Gifted Students)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 과학영재의 학업성취도와 인지적 특성, 성격적 특성과의 상관관계를 살펴보고 학업성취도 수준에 따라 학업성취에 영향을 미치는 인지적 성격적 변인에 어떠한 차이가 있는지 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 위해, 과학영재학생 125명의 학업성적, 학습능력검사(인지능력 변인)와 성격검사(NEO 성격변인)결과를 수집하여 분석하였다. 학업성취도와 인지 및 성격요인들간의 상관분석을 실시한 결과, 학업성취도는 집중력, 실행력, 학습동기와 상관관계가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 학업성취도 수준에 따라서는 성취도가 '상'인 그룹의 영재들은 성실성(r=.439, p<.01)이 높을수록, 학업성취도가 '중'인 그룹의 영재들은 실행력(r=.380, p<.01)과 학습동기(r=.376, p<.01)가 높을수록, 그리고 외향성(r=-.248, p<.01)이 낮을수록 학업성취가 높았다. 그리고 학업성취도가 '하'인 그룹에서는 집중력(r=.367, p<.01)이 낮을수록 학업성취도가 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 과학영재들의 학업성취도에 영향을 주는 변인으로는 인지능력의 실행력과 성격요인의 외향성이 유의한 변인으로 나타났다. 학업성취도 수준에 따라서는 학업성취도가 '상'인 그룹의 경우 성실성, '중'인 그룹은 실행력과 학습동기, 그리고 '하'인 그룹은 집중력이 학업성취도를 예측하는 유의한 변인으로 나타났다.

치매, 경도인지장애, 허혈성 뇌졸중 환자에서 인지기능, 우울 및 일상생활수행능력의 변화 비교 (A Comparative Study of Changes in Cognitive Function, Depression and Activities of Daily Living in Patients with Dementia, Mild Cognitive Impairment and Ischemic Stroke)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 치매, 경도인지장애, 허혈성 뇌졸중 환자의 인지기능, 우울과 일상생활수행능력의 변화를 비교하고 도구적 일상생활수행능력의 변화를 설명하는 요인을 확인하기 위함이다. 총 86명(치매=30명, 경도인지장애=32명, 허혈성 뇌졸중=24명)으로부터 진단 시점과 1년 뒤에 인지기능, 우울, 기본적 및 도구적 일상생활수행능력 자료를 수집하여 분석하였다. 반복측정분산분석과 다중회귀분석을 이용하였다. 집행기능(p=.037)과 도구적 일상생활수행능력(p=.023)에서 측정 시점에 따른 집단 간 교호작용이 유의한 것으로 확인되었다. 경도인지장애 집단은 진단 후 1년 동안 집행기능과 도구적 일상생활수행능력의 변화가 거의 없었으나, 시간이 지남에 따라 치매 집단에서는 감소하는 양상이 나타났고 허혈성 뇌졸중 집단에서는 향상되는 양상을 나타냈다. 또한, 집행기능이 저하될수록(p=.030), 기본적 일상생활수행능력이 저하될수록(p<.001) 도구적 일상생활수행능력도 저하되는 것으로 확인되었으며 설명력은 26.9%였다. 이러한 결과는 인지변화를 주요 증상으로 가지는 치매, 경도인지장애, 허혈성 뇌졸중 환자에서 진단 후 1년까지 질병의 초기 단계에 각기 다른 집행기능 변화 양상이 나타났으며, 이로 인해 도구적 일상생활수행능력 변화 양상이 다른 것으로 보인다. 보건의료전문가는 진단 직후부터 집행기능과 도구적 일상생활수행능력 문제를 정기적으로 평가하고 이와 관련된 기능 상태를 유지 및 증진하기 위한 중재를 제공해야 할 것이다.

게임을 읽는 머리, 스포츠 지능이 존재하는가? 스포츠 수행과 관련된 인지기능에 관한 문헌고찰 (Does sports intelligence, the ability to read the game, exist? A systematic review of the relationship between sports performance and cognitive functions)

  • 연구의 목적은 문헌고찰을 통해 스포츠 관련 인지기능과 이를 효과적으로 측정할 수 있는 검사도구를 제안하고, 스포츠 지능 연구의 기초를 마련하는 것이다. 문헌고찰은 체계적 문헌고찰과 메타분석 지침인 PRISMA 연구법에 근거하여 수행되었다. 게재년도 2008-2020년으로 검색기준 설정 후, 키워드를 통해 검색된 총 429편 중 본 연구의 문헌선택 기준을 충족한 45편이 최종 분석되었다. 고찰된 논문 결과를 요약하면, 선수들은 비선수보다 특정 인지기능이 우수하고, 스포츠 전문성이 높을수록 해당 인지기능이 더 높았으며, 종목에 따라 인지기능에 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 45편에 대한 종합적 분석결과, 스포츠 수행과 관련된 주요 인지기능은 실행기능(억제능력, 인지유연성), 정보처리속도, 공간능력, 주의력으로 요약된다. 각 인지기능 측정을 위한 검사도구로 억제능력은 정지신호과제, 인지유연성은 설계유연성검사, 정보처리는 단순반응검사와 선택반응검사, 공간능력은 심적회전검사, 주의력은 주의연합검사가 적절하다.

실패지식을 활용한 리더십 실패 특성 도출에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Trait of Leadership Failure Using Failure Knowledge)

  • It is tried to draw the failure traits of leadership by extracting leadership parts from previous failure studies and including some parts which mention failure leadership among leadership-related books. All of 5 patterns are drawn through total 13 types of study data. From 'insensitive to change' and authoritarianism which is mentioned 8 times in such 13 studies, to 'interpersonal problem', which is mentioned five times, traits which are mentioned at least five times are selected. There are drawn 5 traits including ${\Delta}$ authoritarianism ${\Delta}insensitive$ to change ${\Delta}lack$ of executive ability ${\Delta}populism$ and ${\Delta}interpersonal$ problem. As being examined in these 5 types of failure traits, the failure of leadership is ultimately happened because of communication heading for the inside without any communication(exchange) to the outside. That is, it is understood that authoritarian leaders don't perceive change correctly but make a wrong communication (populism) or break down communication. Additionally, the executive ability is to perform actually one's idea and to be achieved through incessant communication with members. Compared with other various studies to draw failure factors, these leadership traits have something in common. In the previous researches conducted the study of general failure factors, ${\Delta}adherence$ to preexisting business and resistance to change ${\Delta}unfeasible$ expansion strategy ${\Delta}blind$ faith in successful technology and innovation and ${\Delta}insufficiency$ to grasp competitor(consumer) are pointed out as the failure factors. It is deemed that these are happened because organizational management is headed for the inside without any communication (exchange) to the external environments. Matters unfolded through this paper until now are an attempt to apply the failure knowledge to a leadership part which is an individual field in business administration. It is considered that this study will be complemented through additional case study or quantitative analysis in the future.

IS 조직혁신의 영향요인과 성과에 관한 연구 - IS 개발방법론을 혁신 대상으로 - (A Study on the Affecting Factors and Performance of IS Organizational Innovation - Use of the IS Development Methodology as an Object of Innovation -)

  • This research focuses on the IS development methodology as an object of innovation in an IS organization. It has two main research objectives. It was intended to understand the critical affecting factors which have an effect on the processing of each level in the dynamic and evolving innovation process. There are two levels of innovation process: initiation and implementation. It was also intended to understand the performance of IS organizational innovation. We found three main results by the LISREL analysis. First, main factors affecting initiation level of innovation are innovative tendency of IS members, communication level of IS organization, existence of champion manager, IS performance gap, executive supporting to IS, and relative advantage of IS development methodology. At the implementation level, it was understood that the existence of champion manager, executive support, and relative advantage of IS development methodology were the main factors promoting to use the innovation, and the complexity of innovation was a negative factor adopting the usage of innovation. Second, the quality of the previous level in the gradual innovation activities gives very notable affection to the continuous next level. Finally, it was found that the qualitative performance like the documentation, collaborative team approach, IS developer's awareness and ability corresponding to their task and so on was improved due to the IS organizational innovation. This research provides the standard framework for the IS organizational innovation in a structural way. In the practical aspect, it may be used as the principle for introducing and using the IS development methodology.

3-5세 아동의 이중언어 경험과 인지능력 및 언어 발달에 관한 연구 : 인지적 복잡성에 따른 분석과 통제 이론을 중심으로 (Cognitive Complexity and Control in the Cognitive Ability and Language Development of 3-to 5-Year-Old Korean-Chinese Bilingual Children)

  • In contrast with Zelazo and Frye (1997) who argued that preschool children lack the conscious representation and executive functioning needed to solve problems based on conflicting rules, Bilaystok (1999) identified analysis(representation) and control(selective attention) as components of language processing and has shown that control develops earlier in bilingual than in monolingual children. This study investigated the effects of bilingualism on children's cognitive ability and language development by comparing Korean- Chinese bilingual with Chinese monolingual children in Yanji. Sixty children 3 to 5 years of age in each of the bilingual and the monolingual groups in Yanji, China participated in ths study. Results showed that bilingual were more advanced than monolingual children in solving problems requiring a high level of control, confirming Bialystok's(1999) results.

중학생의 화학 문제해결 전략 조사 (An Investigation on Chemistry Problem-Solving Strategy of Middle School Student)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the strategies that middle school students used in solving problems concerning density and solubility. These were compared in the aspects of problem contexts for 42 students of varying logical reasoning ability, spatial ability, and learning approach. A coding scheme used consists of five categories: reading & organization, production, errors, evaluation, and strategy. Students' protocols were analyzed after intercoder agreement had been established to be .95. The results were as follows: 1. Students had more difficulties in reading and organizing the problems in everyday contexts than in scientific contexts. Students at the concrete-operational stage and / or surface approach were more likely to have difficulties in reading and organizing the problems than those at the formal-operational stage and / or deep approach. 2. Students tended to split up the solubility problems into sub-problems and to solve the density problem in everyday contexts in random manner. These were significantly correlated with the test scores concerning logical reasoning ability, spatial ability, and learning approach at the .1 level of significance. 3. Major errors in solving the density problems were to disregard the given information or generated and to use inappropriate information. Many errors in solving the solubility problems were found to be executive errors. The strategy to use the information given appropriately was positively related to students' logical reasoning ability, spatial ability, and learning approach. 4. More evaluation strategies were found in everyday contexts. Their strategies to grasp the meaning of answers and to check the math were significantly related to students' logical reasoning ability. 5. Students used the random trial-and-error strategy more than the systematic strategy and the systematic trial-and-error strategy, especially in everyday contexts. The strategies used by the students were significantly related to students' logical reasoning ability, spatial ability, and learning approach.

임상중심 실무능력향상 교육모델(FO-CUP)의 융합적 효과성 연구: H대학 작업치료실습을 중심으로 (The Effects of Field-Oriented Capacity Upgrade Model(FO-CUP): H University Occupational Therapy Practice)

  • 본 연구는 작업치료의 임상중심 실무능력 향상을 위한 교육모델인 Field Oriented Capacity Upgrade Program을 제안하였다. 제시한 교육모델과 전통적인 강의식 교육방식을 비교하여 학생의 자기주도 학습능력과 문제해결능력에 미치는 효과성을 검증하였다. 연구방법은 제시한 모델교육에 참여한 실험집단과 강의식 수업에 참여한 대조 집단으로 나누어 비동등성 대조군 전후 설계(nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design)를 이용한 유사 실험연구로 진행하였다. 또한 연구 대상은 3학기에 걸쳐 교육에 참여한 총135명의 학생을 대상으로 사전조사와 사후조사를 진행하였다. 제시한 학습방식을 적용하여 교육한 결과 실험군이 대조군에 비해 자기주도 학습능력과 문제해결능력이 각각 22%, 18%향상된 결과를 얻었다. 이번 연구는 작업치료 임상실무능력을 향상하기 위한 새로운 교수-학습방법을 개발하여 제안하였고, 다양한 직무에서 요구하는 능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 교수-학습방법의 기초 자료로 의미가 있겠다.
