  • Smart hospitals involve the use of recent ICT (information and communications technology) technologies to improve healthcare access, efficiency, and effectiveness. Standardization in smart hospital technologies is crucial for interoperability, scalability, policy formulation, quality control, and maintenance. This study reviewed relevant international standards for smart hospitals and the organizations that develop them. Specific attention was paid to robotics in smart hospitals and the potential for standardization in this area. The study used online resources and existing standards to analyze technologies, standards, and practices in smart hospitals. Key technologies of smart hospitals were identified. Relevant standards from ISO (International Organization for Standardization) and IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) were mapped to each core technology. Korea's leadership in smart hospital technology were highlighted. Approaches for standardizing smart hospitals were proposed. Finally, potential new international standard items for robotics in smart hospitals were identified and categorized by function: sampling, remote operation, delivery, disinfection, and movement tracking/contact tracing. Standardization in smart hospital technologies is crucial for ensuring interoperability, scalability, ethical use of artificial intelligence, and quality control. Implementing international standards in smart hospitals is expected to benefit individuals, healthcare institutions, nations, and industry by improving healthcare access, quality, and competitiveness.

  • The history of animals raised by humans began in prehistoric times, and in modern times they were classified as livestock and pets. As social awareness changes, the term 'companion animal' is used instead of 'pet', and related content has also become more diverse. Recently, digital contents such as virtual pet training, memorial space, and AI health diagnosis using metaverse and AI technology are developing. Developed digital content makes pet care convenient and provide emotional support and economic benefits to users. As technology develops and content becomes more diverse, the relationship between pets and humans will become closer in the future, and related laws and ethical guidelines will need to be established.

  • The purpose of this study is a descriptive research study to identify the emotional labor, ethical climate, job satisfaction, and retention intention of nurses in general hospitals, and to identify the relationship between variables and factors influencing the retention intention. The study subjects were 198 nurses working in four general hospitals, and data were collected from September 18 to September 30, 2019 using a structured questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression using SPSS WIN 25.0. As a result of the study, there was a positive correlation between ethical climate(r=.345, p<.001) and job satisfaction(r=.388, p<.001), but emotional labor (r=-.153, p=.031) showed negative correlation. Factors influencing the retention intention of general hospital nurses are job satisfaction(β=.27, p=.001), age(β=.27, p<001), ethical climate(β=.16, p=044), and the explanatory power of the variable was 24.2%. In order to increase the retention intention of general hospital nurses, it is necessary to increase job satisfaction and create a sound ethical climate, and to develop an intervention program that can increase the retention intention by age.

  • Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to review, analyze, and learn from the most recent cases of plagiarism and to identify and promote ethical practices in research and publication. Research design, data, and methodology - This is a case study, an analytical approach, which focuses on analyzing the most recent cases of plagiarism to identify ethical issues and concerns in journal publication practices. Results - Despite the availability of many software and web-based applications and programs to detect plagiarism, there is no universal or perfect plagiarism detection application available to ease the editorial responsibility. Lack of understanding the concept and ignorance of plagiarism were the main reasons for the cases of plagiarism. Conclusions - Some of the plagiarism cases reveal a lack of knowledge in proper application of in-text citations and references, including quoting, requiting, paraphrasing, and citing sources, etc. Furthermore, the need for recognizing and considering the distorted and falsified primary and secondary research data as plagiarism is essential to enhance ethical practices in journal publication.

To analyze collected data, descriptive statistics, indepentent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression anlaysis were performed using IBM SPSS21.0 program. As a result of this study, factors influencing the performance of COVID-19 infection control were the principle of beneficence, which is the sub area of ethical decsion-making, and conflict and patient-centered nursing, which is the sub-area of moral sensitivity. In order to improve infection control of nursing students who are prospective medical professionals in a situation where new infectious diseases are highly likely to occur in the future, it is required to develop a practice-oriented convergence education programs for nurses which can improve ethics of patient centered nursing.

  • Recently, digital advertising has shifted towards delivering messages through short ads of less than 15 seconds, and on social media, ads need to convey the message within 5 seconds before consumers skip them. Although the length of advertisements has decreased, advancements in artificial intelligence algorithms and big data analysis have made it possible to deliver personalized messages that cater to consumers' interests. In this changing landscape, the importance of delivering tailored messages through short and efficient ads is increasing. In this study, we examined the effects of message framing as part of effective message delivery. Specifically, we examined the differences in the effects of two framings, "health" and "environment," for vegan products. The growing consumer interest in health and the environment has elevated the interest in vegan products, and the vegan market is expanding rapidly. Consumers purchase vegan products not only for personal health benefits but also due to their ethical responsibility towards the environment, which can be considered ethical consumption. Previous research has not shown the differences in the effects between health and environment message framings, and the research has been limited to vegan food products. This study investigates the differences in the effects of health and environment message framings using a dish soap product category. By identifying which advertising messages, either health or environment, are more effective in promoting vegan products, this study provides insights for companies to enhance their message framing strategies effectively.

  • This study focuses on the individual characteristics of consumers and creating shared value in relation to recent increasing value consumption. Specifically, it was intended to verify what socio-psychological variables of consumers affect value congruency and product purchase intentions in relation to cosmetics products based on creating shared value activities. In order to verify hypothesis, an online survey was conducted, and the main and mediate effects of the variables were verified through SPSS' Process Macro method. As a result of empirical analysis, the higher the ethical identity, altruism, and consumer effectiveness, the higher the value congruency. Altruism and consumer effectiveness had a positive impact on purchase intentions. We also find that value congruency has a significant mediating effect on the effect of socio-psychological variables on purchase intention. The results of this study provide practical values and implications for companies' need to emphasize consumers' consumption behavior as it can have a significant positive impact on society. It also suggests the importance of finding out what values consumers seek. In other words, this study can provide strategic implications for public relations plans when performing marketing activities by utilizing the values pursued by CSV in companies. Future research will provide strategic implications for promotional measures when marketing is carried out if the consumer's segment is further refined to verify the effectiveness of creating shared value.

The total mean scores of consciousness of bio-medical ethics between nursing(3.04/4) and non-nursing(2.88/4) were significantly different(t=6.79, p<.001). There were statistically significant differences between two groups in sub-categories of consciousness of bio-medical ethics: right to life of fetus, prenatal diagnosis of fetus, right to life of newborn, euthanasia, organ transplantation, brain death. The major predicting factors for consciousness of bio-medical ethics were experience of studying for biomedical ethics over 1 semester, experience of conflict for biomedical ethic problem, and ethical attitude in nursing department. Study results indicate that appropriate and various teaching-learning method for education of each department is deeded according to move up into a higher class with consciousness of bio-medical ethics, ability of decision making, critical thinking.
