터널 내부 도상 블록형 흡음재의 고속철도차량 내부 소음에 미치는 영향에 대한 고찰 (Investigation into influence of sound absorption block on interior noise of high speed train in tunnel)

  • 최근 여러 환경적인 요인으로 인해 기존의 자갈 도상의 터널에서 콘크리트 도상의 터널로 교체가 되고 있지만 콘크리트 도상 터널의 경우 자갈 도상의 터널 보다 소음에 악영향을 미치고 있어 부수적으로 소음에 대한 대책이 필요한 실정이다. 이러한 대책 중 하나로 흡음블록은 설치의 제약이 적고 쉽고 빠르게 설치가 가능하기 때문에 많은 철도에서 시범적으로 적용되고 있다. 하지만 실제 환경과 운영조건에서 흡음블록의 성능에 대한 검증이 필요한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 터널 내의 흡음블록의 성능을 확인하기 위해 흡음블록의 소음저감효과의 예측뿐만 아니라 호남선의 달성터널의 일부 구간에 흡음블록 설치 전 후의 KTX 실내 소음을 측정하고 그 결과를 비교, 분석하였다. ISO 3381를 준용한 측정장비, 측정방법을 사용하여 고속철도차량 실내소음을 측정하였으며, 터널 내부 운행시간동안에 등가소음도를 계산했다. 또한 흡음블록의 주파수별 흡음특성과 객실내부 장치소음이 영향을 주는 주파수 영역의 영향을 고려하기 위하여 가청주파수 영역 전체에 대한 등가소음도 뿐만 아니라 1/3-octave band를 기초로 주파수 영역대별 영향도도 함께 분석하였다. 또한, 열차의 운행속도와 측정시의 환경조건 등을 고려하여 흡음블록의 실내소음에 대한 영향을 평가하기 위하여 달성터널 전후에 위치한 터널내부 소음 측정값을 사용하여 보정하였다. 측정 결과의 분석을 통하여 흡음블록위에서 주행 할 때 최대 6.8 dB(A) 저감량을 나타내었다. 최종적으로 열차실내소음에 대한 1/3-octave band SPLs(Sound Pressure Levels) 예측값과 실측값을 비교하여 흡음블록에 의한 소음저감 메커니즘에 대한 이해를 증진시켰다.

노래방 소음 및 난청가능성의 인간공학적 평가와 청각보호방안 (Erogonomic assessment of "Noraebang" noise and potential hearing-loss and hearing protection strategies)

  • A research project was conducted to assess the levels of noise exposed to "Noraebang" users and potential hazards to noise-induced hearing loss due to commercial Noraebang noise. A two-way, mixed-factors factorial design was employed for the experiment using independent variables of "noise source" (no- singer, 1-singer, and 2-singer conditions) and "music type" (Trot, Ballad, and Rock music) with 18 normal hearing subjects. Each singer group sang 5 popular songs of each music type in each signing condition, whereas background music was just played for the no-singer condition. For each music played/sung, equivalent continuous sound pressure levels and maximum sound pressure levels were measured for data analysis purposes. Pure-tone audiometry was applied for measuring subjects' hearing threshold levels before and after exposure to Noraebgang noise. The statistical analyses indicate that average continuous noise levels due to Noraebang leisure environment were very serious, especially when two people were singing (higher than 95 dBA). Furthermore, maximum noise levels often exceeded the OSHA's non-premissible 115 dBA level. Worse yet, hearing loss assessment implies that Noraebang facilities may pose a serious threat to noise-induced hearing loss, based on 6-8 dB loss at 125 Hz and 8 dB loss at 4000 Hz after about 1-hour Noraebang noise exposure.

도로 교통소음의 환경평가 단위인 24시간 등가소음레벨에 대한 적정성 검토에 관한 연구 (A Study on Examination of Propriety about L eq24 in Road Traffic Noise Environment Standard Evaluation)

  • Road traffic noise is not produced by any one factor rather it occurs as a composition of various factors. Its occurrence is made by running engine noise, tire frictional, and exhaust noise etc. The quality of the noise depends on the size of the vehicles, rotation and engine speed, vehicle load, package state of the road and incline etc. The occurrence of any noise level of heavy trucks appears louder than smaller vehicles and the noise levels produced differs according to speed and load etc between similar size vehicles. Other factors such as traffic density, average speed, mixing rate of heavy vehicles, and the distance between vehicles also generate road traffic noise. In this paper we examine 2, 4, and 6-lane roads in Jeonju. Consequently, this study examines the means used to measure road traffic noise. It was found that when there is a large traffic density and the average velocity is below 70 km/h, the noise level could receive a relative proper value by the current measuring means. But in the case of night-time, it was found that the current measuring method is inapposite.

대학교 학생식당의 소음저감을 위한 실내소음 실태분석 (Analysis on Indoor Noise Condition of Cafeteria in University Campus)

  • This research is a case study for improving the sound environmental quality of cafeteria in university campus. The purpose of the study is to investigate the present condition of physical level, type, and source of indoor noise by comparison with a restaurant near campus. Methods were field survey with measurement on equivalent and instant noise level and observation on noise type, and questionnaire survey to 60 students users. Surveys were carried out in the 8th and the 14th of December 2005. The results are as follows. 1) Indoor noise levels of the cafeteria were measured as $67.2{\sim}76.6$(average 73.3) dB(A)Leq5min and $60.3{\sim}90.5$(average 71.2) dB(A), but noise levels of the restaurant were $61.6{\sim}70.4$(average 66.9) dB(A)Leq5min and $59.8{\sim}70.6$(average 64.9) dB(A). 2) The users's responses on major noise type were 'noise by handling equipment and tableware', 'noise by moving chairs', and 'taking noise' in cafeteria, but 'taking noise' and 'background music' in restaurant. 3) It was found that the differences of indoor noise condition between with 2 subjects were caused by finishing materials, kitchen division type, and furniture type.

Interior Noise Characteristics in Japanese, Korean and Chinese Subways

  • The aim of this study was to clarify the characteristics of interior noise in Japanese, Korean, and Chinese subways. The octave-band noise levels, A-weighted equivalent continuous sound pressure level ($L_{Aeq}$) and parameters extracted from interaural cross-correlation/autocorrelation functions (ACF/IACFs) were analyzed to evaluate the noise inside running train cars quantitatively and qualitatively. The average $L_{Aeq}$ was 72-83 dBA. The IACF/ACF parameters of the noise showed variations in their values, suggesting they are affected by the characteristics of the trains running, wheel-rail interaction, and cross-section of the tunnels.

  • The environmental pollution by noise is recognized by the pollution source made it not only to carry out harm of the Quality of a life of people seriously in most countries, but was generated for most actual problems. The measure to such environmental noise must conduct first investigation which noise generating currently regarded as questionable says in what grade has resulted and the suitable measure by that is studied. The concern of the residents who demand such a comfortable living environment is increasing rapidly. Therefore, the three areas of Jeollabuk-Do judged that noise is comparatively severe was selected. It is going to grasp delicately the noise actual condition of a residential, semi-residential, commercial, industrial area.

공동주택의 생활 소음원별 특성 분석 (Analysis on the Characteristic of Living Noise in Residential Buildings)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 공동주택에서 발생하는 실내 외 생활소음원들의 종류를 파악하고, 발생 빈도가 높거나 소음레벨이 높은 특정 소음원을 선정하여 소음원별 발생 실태 및 특성을 분석하는 것이다. 공동주택 생활 소음원 실태 조사를 통해 24개의 생활 소음원을 도출하였으며, 그 중 소음의 발생 빈도 및 소음레벨이 높은 소음원 10개를 선정하여 실태조사 분석을 수행하였다. 연구 결과, 생활 소음원 10개 모두 시간대별 소음 발생 특징이 다르게 나타났다. 따라서 생활 소음 저감을 위해서는 소음원별 소음레벨이 크거나 발생빈도가 높은 시간대를 중심으로 강화된 법적 소음 기준 및 소음원별 발생 특성에 관한 거주자 대상의 교육 시행이 필요할 것이다.

The Effect of Occupational Noise Exposure on Serum Cortisol Concentration of Night-shift Industrial Workers: A Field Study

  • Background: In both developed and developing countries, noise is regarded as the most common occupational hazard in various industries. The present study aimed to examine the effect of sound pressure level (SPL) on serum cortisol concentration in three different times during the night shift. Methods: This case-control study was conducted among 75 workers of an industrial and mining firm in 2017. The participants were assigned to one of the three groups (one control and two case groups), with an equal number of workers (25 participants) in each group. Following the ISO 9612 standard, dosimetry was adopted to evaluate equivalent SPL using a TES-1345 dosimeter. The influence of SPL on serum cortisol concentration was measured during the night shift. The serum cortisol concentration was measured using a radioimmunoassay (RIA) test in the laboratory. Repeated measure analysis of variance and linear mixed models were used with ${\alpha}=0.05$. Results: The results indicated a downward trend in the serum cortisol concentration of the three groups during the night shift. Both SPL and exposure time significantly affected cortisol concentration (p < 0.0001, p < 0.0001). Conversely, age and body mass index had no significant influence on cortisol concentration (p = 0.360, p = 0.62). Conclusion: Based on the obtained results, increasing SPL will lead to enhancement of serum cortisol concentration. Given that cortisol concentration varies while workers are exposed to different SPLs, this hormone can be used as a biomarker to study the effect of noise-induced stress.

Enhanced Spectral Hole Substitution for Improving Speech Quality in Low Bit-Rate Audio Coding

  • This paper proposes a novel spectral hole substitution technique for low bit-rate audio coding. The spectral holes frequently occurring in relatively weak energy bands due to zero bit quantization result in severe quality degradation, especially for harmonic signals such as speech vowels. The enhanced aacPlus (EAAC) audio codec artificially adjusts the minimum signal-to-mask ratio (SMR) to reduce the number of spectral holes, but it still produces noisy sound. The proposed method selectively predicts the spectral shapes of hole bands using either intra-band correlation, i.e. harmonically related coefficients nearby or inter-band correlation, i.e. previous frames. For the bands that have low prediction gain, only the energy term is quantized and spectral shapes are replaced by pseudo random values in the decoding stage. To minimize perceptual distortion caused by spectral mismatching, the criterion of the just noticeable level difference (JNLD) and spectral similarity between original and predicted shapes are adopted for quantizing the energy term. Simulation results show that the proposed method implemented into the EAAC baseline coder significantly improves speech quality at low bit-rates while keeping equivalent quality for mixed and music contents.

중소규모 공장에 설치된 송풍기의 소음 감소를 위한 능동소음제어 (Active Noise Control of Blower Fan Noise at the Small-medium Size Factories)

  • 산업 현장에서 발생하는 소음은 작업자의 건강과 작업 효율에도 영향을 줄 뿐 아니라, 주변의 주거지역의 소음 민원의 원인이 된다. 본 논문에서는 중소규모 공장에서 많이 사용되는 송풍기에서 발생하는 소음을 3차원 공간에서 능동소음제어기(ANC)를 이용하여 저감하는 기술 개발을 위한 기초 연구를 수행하였다. 이를 위해 ANC의 설정과 결과 데이터를 용이하게 파악할 수 있는 시뮬레이터 프로그램을 Labview를 이용하여 작성하여 음압레벨, 스펙트럼, 등가소음도 등의 데이터를 비교하였다. 소음 데이터는 현재 중소규모 공장에서 운전 중인 터보팬 송풍기에서 발생하는 소음을 기기 주변 17개의 위치에서 녹음하여 사용하였다. 모의실험 결과 17 지점 모두 500Hz 이하 저주파 대역에서 파워 스펙트럼이 최대 40dB 줄었으며 등가소음레벨이 평균 12.6dB 감쇄되는 결과를 보였다.
