I will introduce robotics education, Novel Engineering, STOMP have hosted in CEEO at Tufts University. CEEO is a leading center for Robotics Education in all over the USA. So far lots of universities and centers have adopted these programs. CEEO have hosted many workshops for students and teachers every summer vacation. And Simple Robotics course is required for every Engineering department freshmen. Novel Engineering(NE) is not familiar to us. I think that NE will be a good tool for integrating reading literacy and engineering. When teachers design a engineering class, members of STOMP help teachers achieve the goals of class. Software Education has been widely spreaded for last several years in South Korea. If our country adopts these programs government-widely. I think that It will be able to contribute to foster SW-talented persons.
Recently, the importance of creativity and problem-solving skills are being emphasized in engineering education. In particular, research is actively being conducted on learning models considering practicality or applicability in practice and education among many creative problem-solving methods. The objective of the present study is to develop a teaching and learning model and verify its effects in order to promote creative thinking and problem-solving skills using the TRIZ Contradiction Analysis. This study led the participants to obtain basic knowledge of creative engineering design through the creative engineering design course for freshmen at an engineering college, and come up with ideas and solutions using the TRIZ Contradiction Analysis. A survey was conducted and analyzed to verify the effectiveness of education using the proposed teaching and learning model, and as a result, the effectiveness of education has been proven by an average of 89 positive responses. Follow-up research is needed on improved application models so that the proposed learning model can be applied to various subjects.

It was proposed that proper problem solving practice should improve students' questioning in physics. In the previous researches, improvement in students' questioning was observed after practice of making questions given the examples of desirable questions. In this study, the problem solving strategies used by experts were introduced to students in the form of step-by-step guide to follow in problem solving practice. The directions in the guide were concrete and operational for students to understand the expected behaviors explicitly. It was assumed that students could pinpoint the difficulty specifically through this guide, which would result in positive effects on students' recognition and expression of their own questions. The subjects in this study were college freshmen enrolled in the introductory physics for science or engineering major. The physics problems from the textbook were solved and practiced in the traditional way for controlled group. Worksheets designed to follow experts' problem solving strategies were used for the experimental group. Two groups were taught in the same way during lecture part of the class. Students were asked to describe the difficulties they had during homeworks or tests. Questions in this study means these descriptions written by students although they were not necessarily in the form of interrogative sentences. The questions were analyzed both in quantity and quality. Quantitatively, more students spontaneously turned in their questions in the experimental group than in the controlled group. Regarding the quality, there were more students in the experimental group than in the controlled group who described their difficulties in detail or recognized the need for the procedural knowledge.

The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for improving the adaptability of college life by examining the effects of individuality and relationship of university freshmen on college life adaptation. The study subjects were 383 freshmen enrolled in a university in Chungbuk C City, and a multiple regression analysis was conducted to examine the factors of impact. The first study found that boys were more individual in genders, depending on the general characteristics. Extroverted students were more relational. In the majors, students in the humanities and social sciences were more related, and students in the natural engineering department were more individual. Second, the lower factors affecting college students' adaptation to college life were found to be autonomous in individuality, and affinity and intimacy in relation. In particular, autonomy has the greatest impact on adaptation to college life, followed by affinity and intimacy. Based on these results, policy suggestions are needed first, it is necessary to balance and balance individuality and relationship. second, it is necessary to create activities and learning environments that you can choose for yourself. third, it is necessary to develop programs to promote affinity and intimacy such as department events and club activities. fourth, emotional and psychological program support through face-to-face contact should be activated to improve individuality and relationship.

In this paper, we present the results of implementing an interactive lecturer introduction game that allows new students or freshmen to learn about their lecturer's information using a Digital Game-based Learning (DGBL) methodology. This game provides information such as the lecturer's name, photo, the courses that they teach in the form of a quiz game, with Unity and PHP used as the development environment. Communication between the game, Content Management System (CMS), and the database is by using the REST API, which enables the administrator to manage the content of the game such as score and number of questions for each level, user's password, and performance threshold, as well as the lecturer's information itself. Since the developed interactive game uses an integrated CMS, the content can be updated dynamically according to the situation, therefore, it can be easily applied to other departments, as well as other various educational games.
Many undergraduate engineering freshmen have difficulties in attending major courses due to their poor basic academic ability. Regardless of the university level it is a reality in universities all over the country. In order to solve the problems of poor learning and basic academic ability, in this study, students who want to major in mechanical engineering at A university, it was confirmed the effectiveness and surveyed the satisfaction with the questionnaire. The pre and post test results showed that the A group improved scores by 40.1% and the B group by 18.9%. Questionnaire survey and in-depth interviews conducted after the completion of the program. It showed that the basic learning ability achievement program was highly satisfied with the overall average of 90.6% (4.53/5.0) and an useful program which not only contributed to the interest in the major subjects and the confidence in the academic achievement but also build positive relationships between the student and professor.

This paper presents an interactive educational game design procedure using the DGBL (Digital Game-based Learning) methodology that will help developers to design a multipurpose educational game. The DGBL consists of five stages, which are Analysis, Design, Development, Quality Assurance, and Implementation & Evaluation. This paper is focusing only on the specific technologies included in the Analysis and Design stages based on the DGBL. The first Analysis stage consists of gathering requirements, determining game ideation and learning objectives, and the second Design stage consists of defining the game architecture and database scheme. In this paper, we have designed a lecturers introduction game for a new student or freshmen as a case study to apply the Analysis and Design stages based on DGBL, as well as showing the prototype result in the form of a storyboard.

The purpose of this study is to draw implications through a case study on the curriculum operation of a professor who operated a programming subject as a PBL(project-based learning) method in an untact situation due to COVID-19. A survey was conducted for first-year freshmen students to determine their learning condition before project implementation. Based on the results of the questionnaire, individual interviews were conducted to identify the needs for education, and then, basic grammar for project completion and lectures that segmenting each stage of the project were composed. Repeated learning was induced through weekly quizzes, and feedback was given by giving time in advance until the project deadline. 23 students (40 students in total) completed the project. The remaining 17 students took the exam but did not complete the project. The purpose of this study is significant in that it investigated whether a project can be carried out through instructional design, execution, and interaction while operating a programming subject through PBL in the COVID-19 environment.

The study purported to develop STS education course material at the university level in order to enhance science literacy and understanding of the relationships among science, technology and society. A developed STS course was provided to 265 freshmen and sophomore students, majoring in the Humanities and the Social Sciences, the Natural Sciences and Engineering, and Fine Arts. Students participated in the survey examining changes in students' attitudes toward and perspectives on STS before and after the implementation. Ten questionnaires were selected from VOSTS for the survey. One additional questionnaire asked the students to elaborate their opinions on the need for a STS education course. The responses to the survey were analyzed according to types of questions and students' majors. As result, the developed STS course significantly increased students' science literacy. Among the participants, 97.7% responded that there is a need for STS education and provided reasons for such need. These results imply that there is a definite need for a STS class at the university level. According to the analyses of responses, there were different responses depending on the students' major. These differences imply that the major, academic background, level of interest in science, and knowledge of science of the students affect their perceptions on identifying the need for a STS education course.
The university entrance examination in deeply related to high school education, adaptation and study ability in university. In this point of view, we investigate the scholastic achievement to the Calculus 1,2, linear algebra and differential equation from academic year 2006 to 2016.
