Profiling Customer Engagement with "Snuggie" Experience in Social Media

  • In order to understand meaningful customer experience in social media, this study profiles customer engagement by exposing the essential brand experience rooms in hyper-reality contexts. This study selects Snuggie as a target brand as it uses multiple contact points, including social media, to provide meaningful experience to customers. With their unique marketing strategy, Snuggie became a popular brand among the U. S. customers beyond just a wearable blanket. Upon analyzing a total of 364 customer reviews about Snuggie in Amazon.com, five experience rooms were exposed; "Physical artifacts" and "customer involvement" are influential experience rooms which signify interactions between products and customers, while "intangible artifacts", "technology" and "customer placement" reflect a lower degree of experiential engagement. This approach suggests a theoretical foundation in understanding the customer engagement concepts by the means of brand experience dimensions in social media. The ability to create compelling engagement in social media depends on the successful facilitation of relationships and information, which lead to a creative, communicative and interactive experience.

사무 종사자의 차별경험이 직무열의에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Discrimination Experience on Job Engagement in Office Workers)

  • 본 연구는 사무 종사자를 대상으로 일반적 특성, 근로환경 특성, 차별경험과 직무열의 정도를 파악하고 차별경험이 직무열의에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 제5차 근로환경조사를 이차 분석하였고, 사무 종사자 6,718명을 연구대상으로 하였다. 수집된 자료는 기술통계, x2-검정, t-검정, ANOVA, 복합표본 일반선형모형을 시행하였다. 연구결과, 사무 종사자는 차별경험이 없는 경우 직무열의가 높았다. 본 연구결과를 토대로, 사무 종사자의 직무열의를 향상 시키기 위해서는 직장 내 차별을 예방하는 방안을 포함해야 할 것이다.

  • 이 연구는 오늘날 날로 경쟁이 심화되고 있는 국내 방송계 종사자의 역할스트레스, 고용불안정성 및 자기 효능감 인식을 살피고 궁극적으로 어떠한 요인이 직무열의에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는지 밝히고자 하였다. 지상파 TV, 케이블 TV, 종합편성 TV에 근무하는 343명을 대상으로 실시한 연구 결과 방송 종사자들의 역할스트레스가 높게 나타났으며 이 가운데 역할갈등 문제가 가장 심각한 것으로 드러났다. 그러나 고용불안정성에 대한 인식은 낮은 편이었으며, 자기효능감과 직무열의는 높게 나타나는 등 직무수행과 관련한 인식이 긍정적인 편이었다. 방송 종사자들의 직무열의와 관련해서는 역할모호가 부정적 영향을, 자기효능감은 긍정적 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인하였으며 이 가운데 자기효능감의 영향이 더 큰 것을 알 수 있었다.

응급실 간호사의 언어폭력경험과 공감피로 및 직무열의의 관계 (The Relationship between Experience of Verbal Abuse, Compassion Fatigue, and Work Engagement in Emergency Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study is a descriptive research study to identify the relationship between the experience of verbal abuse, compassion fatigue, and work engagement among nurses in the emergency unit. Methods: Study subjects were 107 nurses working in a university hospital in Gyeonggi-Do. The instruments used were a verbal abuse checklist, a subscale of the Professional Quality of Life Scale used to measure compassion fatigue, and the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale. The data were analyzed using the IBM SPSS version 22.0 program for independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficients. Results: Emergency nurses experienced more verbal abuse and compassion fatigue than nurses in other departments, and the level of work engagement was low. There was a positive correlation between experience of verbal abuse and compassion fatigue and a negative correlation between both of these variables and work engagement. Particularly, verbal abuse appeared in the order of nurses, patients & caregivers, and doctors. This means there were serious problems with communication with nurses. Conclusion: In order to reduce verbal abuse, it is necessary to establish a communication culture of mutual respect between nurses, medical staff, patients & caregivers. Moreover, a compassion fatigue management program is needed to reduce emotional fatigue.

  • Purpose - This study aims to analyze the causality relationship between Islamic leadership style on employee engagement through empirical testing and anthropology economics approach. Research design, data, and methodology - The sample of this study 117 respondents who are employees of various levels of management in one of the FCMG industry in South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. Data collection with surveys. Data analysis through three steps, i.e., Pearson Correlation, The Second order modeling and also regression using SPSS. Results - Islamic leadership style has a positive and significant effect on employee engagement. The Islamic leadership that we developed in this study can be an alternative solution for organizations in today's modern business. Apart from those anthropological elements in the viewpoint of contemporary activity in the example in this study illustrate that to realize employee engagement, the role of organizational atmosphere and leadership, as well as management and team support has a genuine impact on accomplishing the company's goals and sustainability. Conclusions - The Islamic leadership that we developed in this study can be an alternative solution for organizations in today's modern business. The critical elements in embodying employee engagement are mainly in the skills, reliability, and level of trust of a leader in the organization.

일·가정생활의 갈등과 몰입의 관계: 자기효능감의 조절효과 (Work-Family Conflict and Engagement: Moderating Effect of Self-Efficacy)

  • 본 연구는 일과 가정생활의 갈등이 개인몰입에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석함으로써 이론적 차원뿐만 아니라 기업경영의 실무적인 측면에서 시사점 발견을 목적으로 하였다. 본 연구에서는 실증연구를 위해 일과 삶의 갈등을 독립변수로 몰입을 종속변수로 설정하였다. 또한 자기효능감이 두 변수의 관계에서 의미 있는 조절역할을 하는지 실증적으로 검증하였다. 실증자료의 분석 결과, 일과 가정생활의 갈등은 개인의 일과 조직의 몰입에 의미 있는 영향을 미치고 있는 것이 확인되었다. 자기효능감은 일 삶의 갈등과 개인의 몰입과의 관계를 조절하는 효과를 나타내었다. 본 연구의 결과는 일과 가정생활 갈등 분야의 이론적인 기여와 기업의 성과향상과 유지를 위한 관리자의 실질적인 역할에 대한 지침으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

The Mediating Role of Distribution Kahn's Engagement: An Empirical Evidence of Salesforce in Indonesia

  • This study aims to explore the role of Khan's engagement dimension previous study in mediating the relationship between work-life balance and in-role and extra-role performance of salesforce. To measure the data, a quantitative approach conducted through a survey of the sales force in the financial services industry sector in Makassar City, Indonesia. We determine the sample by using purposive sampling technique, and a total of 188 salesforce respondents. SEM-PLS with the second-order model was applied to test the measurement model and the mediator role of the engagement. The results show that the engagement dimension fully mediates the effect of work-life balance on both in-role and extra-role performance direct or indirect effect. the findings in this study also address the great concern of both individuals and organizations that the antecedents of the work-life balance variable are fundamental reasons for improving performance. The results of this study indicate that the work-life balance program positively influences engagement. Overall, we can conclude that commitment not only serves as a means for employees to fulfill formal job requirements. This can also encourage them to take action that goes beyond the precise requirements of their work by presenting them physically, emotionally, and cognitively in the work environment.

The Effects of Message Tone and Formats of CSR Messages on Engagement in Social Media

  • As more consumers are interested in sustainability issues and evaluate brands based on their social responsibility issues involved, firms are using social media platforms in order to communicate with consumers about Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities. However, the current literature focuses mostly on factors drive engagement of promotional messages, while little evidence was found in the literature on how to design effective CSR messages on social media to engage consumers. Using over 3,000 branded posts on Facebook and Twitter, this research explores factors that help CSR messages become more engaging in social media. The results show that, on average, CSR messages had a negative significant effect on consumer engagement. However, CSR messages became more engaging when designed with emotional appeals, longer texts, and a hashtag. While marginal, CSR messages with informational appeals and humor undermined the effect of CSR messages on engagement. Finally, we explore different types of CSR messages by their beneficiary scope and the role of brands in the message and discuss what message contents drive more engagement in social media. This research contributes to the academic literature and managers by providing new insights on how to design CSR messages for effective communications in social media.

임상간호사의 회복탄력성이 직무열의와 소진에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Resilience on Work Engagement and Burnout of Clinical Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze factors affecting work engagement and burnout among clinical nurses according to resilience. Methods: The study design was a descriptive survey and questionnaires were collected from 182 clinical nurses who worked in hospitals in "J" province. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheff$\acute{e}$ test, Pearson correlation, and hierarchical multiple regressions. Results: The mean score of resilience, work engagement, burnout were $3.47{\pm}0.38$, $4.29{\pm}0.98$, $2.25{\pm}0.82$ respectively. Resilience had 26.3% of the influence on work engagement and 50.5% of the influence on burnout. Sub-variables of causal analysis and empathy of resilience were statistically useful as factors influencing burnout. Conclusion: Resilience has been identified as a factor affecting work engagement and burnout. Therefore, nursing departments and nurse managers should strive to develop programs for the promotion of resilience.

평면연삭에 있어서 AE발생원에 영향을 미치는 연삭인자에 관한 연구 (A Study on the grinding factor affecting the AE Source in surface grinding)

  • The study is concerned with the investigation of grinding factor affecting the AE Source by means of the relation between the amplitude level of AE signal and the depth of wheel engagement in surface grinding by AE method. As the result, work velocity was confirmed that the amplitude of AE signal had almost constant value in comparison with the depth of wheel engagement. But the depth of wheel engagement and the width of wheel engagement were proportional to the amplitude of AE signal. Therefore, when the AE Source was classified by 3-zone, Ws and Wf were affected by the depth of wheel engagement and that Wr was affected by the width of wheel engagement. Also, the adaptability of the AE method was studied about the detection of tool life of grinding wheel, sparkout and initial contact point.
