Relations of factors associated with burnout were investigated among 124 child protective service workers currently working in Korean Child Abuse Prevention Centers nationwide. Three categories of factors associated with burnout were examined; (1) individual characteristics, (2) job-related characteristics, and (3) job-satisfaction. Social survey method using questionnaires by mail was employed. MBI(Maslach Burnout Inventory) for measuring burnout, a part of Smith, Kendal & Hulin's JDI(Job Description Index) for job-satisfaction, and a scale measuring the special characteristics of job developed by researchers were used. Mann-Whitney test and Kruskal-Wallis test were employed to analyze the data. Across all burnout sub-scales(emotional depletion, dehumanization of clients, lack of feelings of achievement), subjects reported a high degree(above the cutting point) of burnout. Several factors were identified as associated with burnout. Child protective service workers who are young, single with front line worker status reported higher burnout. Lack of education and training before the job location were another factors which contributed to worker burnout. Lack of proper supervision stood out as another burnout provoking factor. Job-satisfaction was negatively correlated with all three burnout sub-scales, which meant the lower the job-satisfaction, the higher the burnout of service workers. The findings implicate that the administrators of Child Abuse Prevention Centers should pay close attention to their workers' sign of burnout and develop carefully designed support system which include provision of excellent supervision, proper education and training opportunities and organizational effort to strengthen employees' overall job-satisfaction to secure their quality of services toward abused children and their family.

This study is conducted in the form of purposive sampling among 215 social workers working in social welfare and living facilities located in the metropolitan area. The purpose of this study is to understand how organizational commitment and psychological empowerment affects job satisfaction and investigate the mediating effect of psychological empowerment when it comes to the relationship between organizational commitment and job satisfaction. In this study, it is observed that there is a significant impact of psychological empowerment on job satisfaction. The higher the level of psychological empowerment is, social workers tend to have a higher level of organizational commitment and job satisfaction. The result of investigation on mediating effect supports a mediating effect of psychological empowerment on the relationship between emotional/continuance/normative commitment and job satisfaction. In addition, the self-authority appears to have a mediating effect on the relationship between emotional/continuance/normative commitment and job satisfaction. Finally, competence also has a mediating effect on the relationship. The result supports the significant effect of the four hypotheses presented in this study. The result of this study implies that social workers' psychological empowerment has a positive effect on their organizational commitment and job satisfaction. Therefore, it can be used by an organization as an effective management technique.

SPSS 21.0 version was used for descriptive analysis, frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, independent t-test, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression. The major findings of this study were as follows: 1) 84.4% of participant experienced violent episodes. The frequency of verbal violence was highest. Violent attackers were patients and guardians with drunken state. The time of violence episodes was usually during the night. This article explores the characteristics of care and care labor which is core keyword of the welfare state and the way of institutionalization of care labor, focusing specially on differences among women. Caring is defined by the expression of morality and labor accompanied by concrete action. But, care labor in the welfare state is defined by "activities involved in caring for the ill, elderly, handicapped and dependent", and I think, that definition is more useful than the narrow one for policy institutionalization. But the latter definition intentionally separates the domestic work from care work. Care labor is considered to be different from the market labor in terms of motivations, but there are some limits in standardization and commercialization of the traits of emotional and moral engagement. Thus, requiring of emotional motivation as one of the job descriptions is not realistic. Welfare state is institutionalizing women's unpaid care work in family through de-familization, and its policy tools are cash benefits and services for care-related, which influence to the female wage worker and fulltime housewife, care receiver and care giver, and polarization of women's class in a very different way. Cash benefits enhances the division of gender labor, polarizes the care laborer and weakens of expansion the care as decent job. The movement of feminist welfare state have a vision of universal service expansion and need the policy list for de-gendering of care labor.
Public uniforms play an important role in creating the color and image of urban environment beyond the level of simple working clothes for unity and practicality. Hence this study aims to compare and analyze the color characteristics and images of the police officer, fire fighter, and street cleaner uniforms at home and abroad to guarantee the wearer's safety, increase convenience and agreeability, and give emotional satisfaction to citizens in harmony with urban environment color as public uniforms. For study methods, literature review investigated urban environment, color, and uniforms as public design. Empirical study extracted color data from the public worker uniforms of the world's top 20 cities selected by 'Newsweek' in 2010 and analyzed their colors, tones, and color images. The results of this study are as follows. The most common color for police uniforms were PB(dk) as the main color, PB(p) as the sub color, and Wh as the accent color. For fire fighter uniforms, PB(dkg) was the most common main color; GY(v), as the sub color; and ItGy, as the accent color. The most common color for street cleaner uniforms was YR(v) as the main color; GY(v), as the sub color; and mGy, as the accent color. As a result of analyzing color images of these uniforms, it was found that police uniforms commonly used a modern image; fire fighter uniforms commonly used a natural image and a cool casual image; and street cleaner uniforms commonly used a casual image. As examined above, the color of public uniforms suitable for urban environment and job characteristics is very important to establish the image of public institutions, as well as to create an urban image.

This study aimed to investigate the effects of job satisfaction and self-esteem on psychological burnout in dietitians at a geriatric hospital in Busan. The survey was conducted from July 8 to August 31, 2014, and the data were analyzed using the SPSS program. The age group of over 36 years showed higher job satisfaction than the 'Under 25' group. Subjects that worked less than 2 years at their present jobs showed lower job satisfaction in job-itself than the 'Over 4 years' group did, and those who worked less than 1 year showed lower job satisfaction in terms of communication, appraisal compensation, and co-workers than did the other groups. Those who worked in '100~149 bed' hospitals showed higher job satisfaction than those in the 'Under 100 bed' group did. 'Over 200 bed' hospital dietitians showed higher satisfaction in supervision of superiors than did the other groups. Their experience of psychological burnout turned out to be 2.39 out of 5. Psychological burnout had a negative relationship with job satisfaction and self-esteem. Higher emotional exhaustion correlated with lower satisfaction in job-itself, less communication, and less supervision of superiors. Dehumanization correlated with lower satisfaction in job-itself, lower self-esteem, and worse communication, and while decreased personal achievement correlated with lower self-esteem, worse co-workers, lower satisfaction in job-itself, worse appraisal compensation, and worse communication. These results suggest that it would be effective for prevention and management of psychological burnout to mediate factors of job-itself, communication, supervision of superiors, co-worker, and appraisal compensation of dietitians in geriatric hospitals.

The result of analysis on the study as follow: 1) burnout risk has positive(+) effects on burnout 2) burnout risk has negative(-) effects on burnout resilience 3) burnout resilience has negative (-) effects on burnout. These results were based on some suggestions.
The purpose of this study was to examine the degree of awareness of burnout among social workers in consideration of the importance of burnout. Through this, social welfare institutions will use the basic data to identify the level of exhaustion of social workers and at the same time, suggest ways to improve the problems of the social workers' exhaustion. In addition, it will be used as a material to lower the intention of turnover of social workers. A total of 93 people were surveyed at 5 social welfare centers in Cheongdo-gun, Gyeongbuk. The average and standard deviation were analyzed using SPSS 23.0. As a result, first, social workers tended to be exhausted overall. Second, emotional depletion tended to be higher than other subregions, and dehumanization and deterioration of personal achievement tended to be higher.
