The objectives of this study is to develop an adaptable digital wall model whose color can be changed dynamically according to the identified emotional state of a user. This study addresses how to capture a specific user's emotion through the web and use it for modifying VR model mainly for color adaptation. This adaptation process of a VR model consists of three phases: 1) identification of the user's emotional state projected onto the list of emotional keywords 2) translation of those captured emotional keywords into a pertinent set of color coordinations, and finally, 3) automated color adaptation process for the given model. This process derives an on-line viewer's emotional state, which can be utilized to find a new color scheme reflecting the identified emotion.
This is a descriptive research conducted on 143 junior nursing students using PANAS to get basic data for intervention program checking emotional state before child nursing practicum. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 19.0, the positive affects were significantly higher in males than in females but the negative affects were reversed. Multiple regression analysis to identify factors affecting positive and negative affects showed the negative affects were influenced by sex, while the positive ones were by satisfaction in major, personality type, motive of admission, and types of hospital. The explanatory rate of these variables on the positive and negative affects were 22.8% and 7.8%, respectively. Emotional intervention program before child nursing practicum is necessary through implementing qualitative researches identifying the causes of negative affects before child nursing practicum of nursing students. Also, it is recommended the experimental studies comparing emotional states before and after child nursing practicum and other subjects'.
This study aimed to verify the results of emotional analysis with respect to canine behavior as reported in the existing animal behavior field based on the dog vestibular emotional reflex (VER) principle, and to evaluate humans and animals based on empathy gained through true communication rather than human-centered interpretation. A total of 200 canines were divided into non-daily and daily situation groups (n=100 each). To assess the psychological and emotional state of each group, these changes were applied to the principle of VER, and six measurement values were selected: positive emotion (balance and energy), negative emotion (tension/anxiety and stress), and body condition (inhibition and neuroticism). The results showed a statistically significant difference (p<0.05) in positive emotions, negative emotions, and body conditions between the two groups. In addition, balance, energy, tension/anxiety, inhibition, and neuroticism were higher in the non-daily situation group than in the daily situation group, with an exception for stress. Compared with the canine daily situation groups, canine in the non-daily situation groups instinctively observed their surroundings to cope with possible threats, had decreased concentration, and elevated vitals due to high-intensity anxiety. This can be perceived as a state of immediate reaction to possible situations/threats. In conclusion, it was confirmed through Vibra Image technology that canine instability mainly affects three factors: positive emotion, negative emotion, and physical condition.
Vision-based Human computer interaction is an emerging field of science and industry to provide natural way to communicate with human and computer. In that sense, inferring the emotional state of the person based on the facial expression recognition is an important issue. In this paper, we present a novel approach to recognize facial expression from a sequence of input images using emotional specific HMM (Hidden Markov Model) and facial motion tracking based on optical flow. Conventionally, in the HMM which consists of basic emotional states, it is considered natural that transitions between emotions are imposed to pass through neutral state. However, in this work we propose an enhanced transition framework model which consists of transitions between each emotional state without passing through neutral state in addition to a traditional transition model. For the localization of facial features from video sequence we exploit template matching and optical flow. The facial feature displacements traced by the optical flow are used for input parameters to HMM for facial expression recognition. From the experiment, we can prove that the proposed framework can effectively recognize the facial expression in real time.

The research involved children and parents of primary school-aged children with cognitive development disorder, as well as scientific and pedagogical workers who organized the psychological and pedagogical principles for organizing distance learning. The purpose of the research lies in establishing how effectively children, parents and their teachers cope with online distance learning during the pandemic, as well as investigating the extent to which such educational technology affects the emotional and behavioural state of the child. The research methodology is based on complexity. In the course of the research, the method of pedagogical experiment was used; observation and questionnaire methods were also introduced; the descriptive method, analysis and synthesis were used to review the theoretical material. The hypothesis lies in the fact that distance online education increases academic difficulties, changes the behavioural and emotional picture of a child with cognitive development disorder; consequently, the behaviour and emotional background will be limited by certain parameters, and this requires the active involvement of parents and teachers in the distance work process. The results of the research have revealed that distance education causes a number of restrictions for children with cognitive development disorder, namely: concentration of attention has decreased, anxiety has increased, and sleep has worsened. Behavioural changes predicted increased restlessness and aggression. Parents and teachers have had methodological, academic and everyday difficulties; all participants in the educational process have been more limited in the conditions of online distance learning. difficulties and improving the behaviour and emotional states of all participants in the educational process.

Media utilization in colleges of education in Nigeria is compulsory to train pre-service teachers. Psychological variables (emotional intelligence, and self-efficacy) and media improvisation were investigated on media resources utilization among lecturers in colleges of education in the South-West, Nigeria. The descriptive design was adopted and multi-staged procedure was used to select 812 (493 males; 319 females). Emotional intelligence (r = 0.79), media improvisation (r = 0.71), self-efficacy (r = 0.85 and media resources utilization r = 0.96) scales were used for data collection. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Pearson product moment at 0.05 level of significance. The level of emotional intelligence, self-efficacy and media improvisation were high. Significant relationship existed among: emotional intelligence (r = 0.42), Media improvisation (r = 0.46) and Teaching self-efficacy (r = 0.31) to media resources utilization. It recommended that lecturers' emotional intelligence, self-efficacy and media improvisation are to be promoted in colleges of education.

For understanding the information processing in human brain, we analyze the EEG, a spontaneous electric activity on the scalp of the human. In this paper, we used the mutual information to analyze EEG. The mutual information is used to show the stochastic correlation between signals which are generated in the communication and information theory. The used EEG is evoked by each auditory stimulus in positive and negative emotional states. As a result, we found thet there is some difference at the mutual information in each emotional state.

This study was designed to investigate organizational culture and emotional intelligence as predictors of job performance among library personnel in Edo state, Nigeria. The survey research design was employed for the study with a population size of 181 library personnel in the 15 academic libraries under study, and due to the manageable population size, total enumeration was adopted as the sampling technique. The questionnaire was used to elicit data from the respondents. Of the 181 copies of the questionnaire administered, 163 copies were retrieved and found valid for analysis constituting a 90% response rate. Four research questions and four null hypotheses (tested at 0.05 level of significance) were formulated to guide the study. The tool used to analyze the research question was descriptive statistics (percentage, mean, and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (correlation and multiple regression) for testing the hypotheses. The findings of the study revealed that there is a high level of job performance, good organizational culture, and high level of emotional intelligence among the personnel. Organizational culture and emotional intelligence jointly and significantly predict job performance of personnel. There is significant positive correlation between organizational culture and job performance. The linear combination of emotional intelligence and organizational culture predict job performance of library personnel in the academic libraries under study. The research concludes that there is a need for high job performance in libraries which is predicted by the organizational culture of the library and the level of emotional intelligence of the library personnel.

In this paper, an emotion recognition method using speech signal is presented. Six basic human emotions including happiness, sadness, anger, surprise, fear and dislike are investigated. The proposed recognizer have each codebook constructed by using the wavelet transform for the emotional state. Here, we first verify the emotional state at each filterbank and then the final recognition is obtained from a multi-decision method scheme. The database consists of 360 emotional utterances from twenty person who talk a sentence three times for six emotional states. The proposed method showed more 5% improvement of the recognition rate than previous works.
