A Study on the Optimal Design for DC traction system of Light Rail Transit (경전철 급전시스템의 최적설계에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents on capacity design of DC-fed-traction system. The system is introduced including a characteristics of train, feeding network configuration, and design method of substation arrangements. Optimal design procedures is described, and program for capacity computation of the system is presented using the nodal equation, K.C.L, K.V.L, Ohm's law and superposition theory. For the proof of the proposed algorithm, we accomplished the simulation of DC traction system for HA-Nam LRT. By considering whole component in DC traction system the conclusion will be much precise.

  • This paper introduce about development of effective alarm system to apply to power system. This system includes index-components that display alarm information. It was changed color or position, value, etc by operator's tuning. According to use this system, User can not only perform easily a series of alarm analysis, but also can deal with custom system for only user.

  • A redundantly actuated planar 3-degree-of-freedom parallel mechanism is analyzed to show its high application potential as a haptic device. Its structure along with the closed form forward position solutions is briefly discussed. Then its geometric and kinematic characteristics via singularity analysis, the kinematic isotropy index, and the input-output force transmission ratio are investigated both for the redundantly actuated cases and for the non-redundantly actuated case. In addition, comparative joint torque simulations of the mechanism with different number of redundant actuations as well as without redundant actuation are conducted to confirm the improved joint torque distribution characteristics. Through these analyses it is shown that the geometric and kinematic characteristics of the redundantly actuated mechanism are superior to the ones of the mechanism without redundant actuation. Thus, it can be concluded that the suggested planar mechanism with redundant actuation has a very high potential for haptic device applications.

  • This paper presents the application study of substation automation protocol, IEC 61850 to digital relay (HiMAP). Especially, it implements the data modeling, ACSI definition, GOOSE, MSVCB and data service required in the existing digital relay. To verify the system performance, we develop the process emulator and HiMAP emulator, and describe the results.

  • Recently, because of the depletion of fossil fuels and the environmental pollution by using fossil fuels and atomic power generation, the interests concerning of new and renewable energy resources are rising rapidly. In this study, the 3kWP photovoltaic power generation system is realized to verify the performance of the PCS developed. The photovoltaic array used in this system is composed of 60 modules of 50Wp capacity. The developed system is tested and the experimental results show the excellent electrical characteristics.

  • This paper describes the implementation of UPS system controlled by the DSP. The digital techniques have been used tn overcome the problems of UPS system controlled by analog control circuits. By developing these systems using the digital technique we could increase the reliability and improve the electrical characteristics. And we designed and developed the system which is able to control UPSs and to monitor errors, statuses and actual values transmitted from UPS through internet. The UPSs also impose high demands on battery life time, reliability and energy-efficiency. These requirements can only be met by employing sophisticated battery management system(BMS). Therefore, a highly accurate, universal and inexpensive measuring system for BMS was developed.

  • The objective of this paper is to propose a new velocity measurement method for an electro-mechanical fin actuator. The model of the electro-mechanical fin actuator includes uncertainties such as unknown disturbances and parameter variations in flight condition. So, an electro-mechanical fin actuator system needs robust control algorithm which requires not only position information but also velocity information. Usually, analog tachometers have been used for velocity feedback in an electro-mechanical fin actuator. However, using these types of sensors have problems such as the cost, space, and malfunction. These problems lead to propose a new velocity measurement method using linear type Hall-effect sensor. In order to verify the proposed method, several experiments are performed using Model Following Sliding Mode Controller(MFSMC). It is shown that the MFSMC with a new velocity measurement method using linear type Hall-effect sensor can satisfy the requirements without using of velocity sensor.

  • This paper deals with the numerical estimation of the bubble behavior and the partial discharge(PD) initiation voltage basis of electric field calculation with the coaxial coil layer-to-cylindrical electrode system for the simulation of high temperature superconducting coils. The theoretical results of bubble behavior and the PD initiation voltages showed fairly good agreements with the experimental results.

  • GIS 예방진단 시스템을 현장에 적용할 경우 예상치 못한 노이즈와 전기외란으로 예측 일치율에 저하가 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 각 현장에 설치된 온라인 GIS예방진단 시스템의 기록정보를 받아들여 새롭게 학습을 시킴으로써 현장 적응형 진단을 구축할 수 있는 방안을 제시한다. 또한 현장의 각종 노이즈 패턴도 학습시킴으로써 진단엔진의 성능향상을 도모한다.

  • This paper describes the information transmission method using communication networks between the devices in Photovoltaic Power System, and also represents the test result which carried out in the field. In this test, transmission signal waveform, polling time, response time and request/response frame were measured between the devices. The measured results show the excellent transmission characteristics.
